Cartoons in the 2000's 2007-03-01 04:27:55 Reply

Am I the only one who thinks cartoons have gone WAY downhill since about 2000 if not a bit earlier?

I am glad i grew up in the 90's early 90's specifically when cartoons were great.

Growing up with things like The Rugrats, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life.

But now it seems like kids are growing up with weird cartoons.
Hell even stuff like spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Nuetron aren't to bad...

But then there is the terrible new stuff i see, though its rare. It seems that all the new cartoons have no since of there own style... It all looks the same and it all just doesn't look fun.

It is very possible it is just me... me being older and not into cartoons anymore but i really think that the cartoon world is going downhill... at least the more kid oriented cartoons.

I remember a few years ago they brought it back... hell i even think with new episodes... but i think they stopped it. They played it along side that weird animated show with pamela anderson stripping... stripperella?

Oh how I remember the 90s. It was the golden age for childen's cartoons. Captain Planet and Transformers were some of the best of the era.

Childens cartoons, and childrens tv shows in general, have gone way down hill since the 90s. These days there's censorship laws and no one has any new or good ideas.

Oooooh courage, that is another one of the great cartoons. Sure it didn't come out really early, but it was still great. To badd there isn't more cartoons like it. What about the origianal scooby doo? That was my favorite as a kid. The new scooby doo just straight up sucks.

I also agree that cartoons these days are crap.
One of my all time most hated cartoon is Sponge Bob.
Completely annoying laugh and is more stupid than funny.

yeah, like squerrel boy, and camp lazlo... R-Tard cartoons

man, i remember the days of the thunder cats, and voltron (im an 80's child), courage, ren & stimpy was cool, in an odd way, there were so many cartoons...
but now its all like pokemon, yugioh, and some stupid $h!t cartoons, the few i kinda like teen titans, naruto (jap ani), one piece (J.A.) and thats about it.

Kids cartoons have gone down hill scince the 90's beacuse less money is spent on them beacuse the internet is here.

But prime time cartoons such as The simpsons, South park, Family guy. have gotten better beacuse the writters know that the kids that grew up watching them "us" their brains have developed and things like a cat chasing a mouse, just wont keep us watching.

But its not kids cartoons that are getting worse our perception changes ask five year olds what they think, they love them.

The only good cartoons that came out in the 00's are Cartoon Networks'...
As for Dexter's laboratory, Samurai Jack, Courage the cowardly dog show, Powerpuff girls NOT, and so on...
As a 16 years old I still find some of these funny, even if they don't make any bloody sense.

What did ruin the TV, was that disgusting fighting aggressive anime burst (Fuckemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, BayBlade and others)
I god a kid brother who watches all of this shit, I know because I see this shit trashing his brain and making him act like a fucking moron.

Bottom line, if you ask me about kids' cartoons in the 2000's, Cartoon Network stuff.
And boy I'm so glad I grew in the 90's too.
REN AND STIMPY FTW!!!@1$@!@!2$@oneone!
