Subway sandwich... 2007-02-26 11:32:58 Reply

I bought a Subway hoagie Saturday afternoon for lunch, and I only ate half of it and stuck the other half in the fridge. I'm pretty hungry and I usually buy food as I eat it so my cabinets are bare.. and I don't feel like going to store. The other half of the hoagie is my resort.

I always think that leftovers are going to leave me with a horrible incurable disease.

Is this safe to eat? It containrs turkey, lettuce, pickles & black olives.

Nah, as long as you eat it within a day or so.
I wouldn't go more than that.

I went to subway yesterday, got my BLT an all.
Get to the till and they are handing out free prize things, so I open mine and get another free sub.
So 2 subs and a bottle of diet coke for £3:30

Leftovers scare me. I can eat them within the day, but it makes me paranoid to think what happens to them overnight the fridge.

Yeah, but it's not like some hobo comes into your house at night, wipes his arse on your sandwich, puts it back and leaves, is it?

Terrible! First off, what a waste of a sandwich, I would eat it and I already forget what was on it. Regardless, I know my friend has done better. He bought a subway sandwich who-knows-when and while driving around he commented about being hungry, reached over, opened his glove box, and pulled out a subway sandwich. He then proceeded to eat that sandwich. Sandwiches are fine sitting in the fridge, its not like its a hot sandwich, all that shit is supposed to be cold anyway.

Also, its a fucking SUB. Not a fucking HOAGY, or however you strange fucks spell it. Sheesh.

This one time i purchased a sandwich from subway hoping to devour it the following day for lunch at work. I made the mistake of putting mayo on it and after an afternoon of sitting in the hot sun i ate the sandwich. I got really sick.

I know five people that currently work at the Subway near my house. I pick up like four 12inch subs everytime I go for like $10, put most in the fridge. Tastes pretty good as leftovers, mainly the chicken ones.

Leftovers are the best. I usually buy large sandwiches knwoing I'm only going to eat half just so I have something to eat tomorrow.

When in doubt, Microwave it. The microwave kills just about everything. And whatever it doesn't kill, becomes toasty and delicious.

? You might want to take some biology. If you were going to get a disease, you would more than likely get it before you put it in the fridge, because all that stuff is not cooked, served pretty much right out of packet, put on display till used. So unless you got it from a e coli filled restaurant, you'll be ok.

How do you live in Jersey and not know how to spell hoagie? Now that's strange!

Geez, I ate it, okay?

The bread was hard and the oil soaked through everything and it tasted like oregano. Yum.

The human body isnt that fragile.

For example the sandwich I made for lunch today was made with week old bread. I just had to scrape off the mould and it tasted like it was fresh from the oven.

The cheese was a few weeks old as well, the mould from it really added a new dimension of flavour to it.

And whenever I cook something like bolognese or a curry I make it a few days in advance to eating it. When it just sits in the pot for a while the flavour becomes a lot better.
