If i were the Prime Minister (I'm in Britain) I would have not supported the war but not gone all-out to veto it, like the French. that way I gain the support of my people and the Americans dont hate us either.

I'd probably have a lot more insight and information into things as president, so I'd have to know everything a president knows to make my decisions. I'd be inside of things first hand instead of feed my news through the media and such. Well yeah... so... to know what I would do as president, I'd have to be president, lol.

What would I do? Cut government spending and slash the federal government down to a realistic, manageable and most of all, constitutional, size. Of course, this would require controlling the legislature as well. I would then withdraw troops from foreign lands, (Saudi Arabia, Germany, etc.), and focus on core, constitutional duties of the government rather than gradually turning America into more of a bloated welfare state, a process that has been going on since FDR. I would eliminate Social Security, Medicare, most federal grants and loans, etc. There would be a period of chaos, but radical change is the only way to break the cycle of liberalism, socialism and decay. When the dust settled, maybe in ten or fifteen years, we would be much better off. Taxes would be miniscule, government would have stopped trying to manage people's lives and invade privacy, spending would be tightly controlled, there'd be a balanced budget and the towering bureaucracy of red tape and inefficiency would have been torn down and replaced by local government and support.

One day it shall happen. When the system degrades enough, when people see what has been done to them, how they have been abused and robbed for 'their own good' then it will happen. One day. Eventually....
