This thread is dedicated to my only dog Cassie.
Ever since I was born Cassie has been in my life. I hadn't lived a day without her and she wasn't in the greatest condition she'd ever been in. She had something wrong with her and I'll spare the details. The thing was that she couldn't control when she...went.. and when she did it was blood, almost not at all urine. I can't explain how much I loved her, ever since I was in my crib she was there with me. She would hop up onto my bed and all asleep. Just about everday I'd give her a hug and a kiss as she welcomed me home by jumping around and wagging her tail. She would never bite anyone that came into our ouse, she'd just wag her tail and run around them once or twice. She just been in so much pain that one night my parents told me this was her last night with us. I couldn't start to explain how sad I was.. I let her sleep in my bed one last time before her final goodbye. The next day all we did was hug her, and kiss her, and tell her how much we loved her. She died around 12:15 on a saturday, It was one of the sadest days of my life. I'll never forget you Cassie.<3 <3.

Cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it. Animals and poeple died. My turtle, sisters cat, old dog, and my father. All died last year and you don't see me bitching about it or making these R.I.P. threads or tribrutes.

Hmmmmmm...
You forgot jackass, prick, racist, sexist, and judgemental dick. :)
Anyway, In all seriousness. That's just as I see it. It's best to let things be. My father died Oct 11th 2006. Since the week after this is probably the first time I've even mentioned it outside of my family. I just grew up learning to keep these things to yourself that's all. I ment no disrespect.

It seems like winter is a bad time for dogs. I lost my 17 year old dog this December too. It was really rough, especially since I never got to see him before he died, so I still miss him.
All he ever did was bark and piss me off, but I cared so much about him in the end.

sorry for your loss green and sad girl. :\ I lost a cat and I was extremely close to him. For some reason with pets you can easily develop a really strong bond. Consider me crazy but I would always talk to him and it seemed like he understood me. He died... I was crushed. I got past it by trying not to think about him except for his birthdays and such. he's cremated in a vase... yes my parents are insane........

Talking helps MOST people when they lose a loved one. Just because you have trouble with feelings and emotions doesn't mean the rest of us do.

Kids, we're about to see Columbine II.
Actually I am legally insane. No joke. But that's an entire different subject. Anyway I don't bottle it up. If I need to talk about something. I talk to my mother or sister. I have a really close family so it's easy.

Boo hoo, my dad is dead, my mother is dead, my dog is dead, too dipshit. Show the kid some compassion, god knows you probably needed it too.

agreed, criminal, you just must not love your pets, if you dont, dont get pets. i dono how terrible id feel if izzy, my dog, died. he's the only other person thats always there. and he never seems sad or mad he is just a bundle of happiness.
i feel sorry for you, its hard when your pets get sick, and i know from experience how it hurts even more when you cant do anything to help them. my first dog hurt his back and couldnt use his back legs. he didnt live much longer after that ='(

This goes to everyone currently convoing with me.
No I'm not being"Mr.Cool" I ain't like that. I was trying to teach the kid a lession. I'm sorry maybe I should've thought about him/her IRL but I was to hastey with my post.
Okay my family has had over 12 cats all that have died. I mentioned the poeple/pets that died last year. I was extremely close to each cat/pet/whatever. I like everyone cried my eyes out and still cry thinking about 'em. I loved eached very much.
Now think of this. you say I should think about he or shes life? Think of mine? For all you know I may have a tough life and have to suck up and keep my cool or I'll fall apart. And on that note my life is in fact very stressful.
So then.... I think we should just end these meaningless agruements by just agreeing everyone feels pain for a losst love one wheither it be pet/parent/friend/or whatever. And everyone deals with it in different ways which are right(or good) for them.

I wish I could send my dog back to the Hell it came from.
Just kidding.
But seriously, sorry 'bout your loss.
Just watch cartoons, have a beer, light a joint, etc, etc.
That's all you can really do after you've suffered a loss.

I guess that's what I should try to do. But my solution is just to store everything behind a locked door in my head where I don't have a key. I'm sure it will come back to bite me in the ass but for now it's the only way that helps me.
Now thinking about him, 3 years now, I'm fine but up until those 3 years I would get depressed thinking about it.
I don't know how else to deal with it :-\ thinking about it just doesn't work!

My advice: Do what's right for you. Talk to whoevers good, BBS users, Family, Friends, stuffed animals, or whatever. The stages (Shock, Anger, Depression, Acceptance) You can stay in between anger and depression for all your life. Get it out, get it all out, and let yourself move on. Or you might end up like a guy I know who hit some girl while driving and isnow a complete emo.
(See poeple? I'm not a complete asshole. ^^)

Someone should just make a consuling club where everyone can talk about this stuff. It may actually be helpful. I'm too lazy to make a club though.
