the us is breaking every rule that they have enforced on countries. Eg, they fuk up iraq yet they dont allow certain wars i.e. invading zimbabwe. The world bans cluster bombs- the us increases production of them. Theyve also been biased,
They dont let iran go nuclear yet in the 1980-1990s they secretly let india become nuclear and they also try stop countries like china go nuclear. This way, they will stay superpower.
They have broken literally every human right law there is- examples include guantamino bay and secret jail systems. They saty they will co operate yet they wont release inffo. They have tonnes of "secret files"that wont be released. They cover up stuff too. If anyone has read "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell you will recognise similarities
Talking of it isnt this missile knockout system dumb? Its like shooting a bullet out of the sky. A missile goes at around Mach 10. (To go space) This means the rocket or watever will have to go atleastMach 11. And wat if it misses- two missiles hit the US. One is US missile(!) Waste of space

I don't know the situation with Zimbabwe, but I assume they want to commit genocide on some group of individuals.
The world bans cluster bombs- the us increases production of them. Theyve also been biased,
The hell do you mean the world banned cluster bombs? Do you mean some nations got together and decided the US couldn't use them because it makes them feel inadequate about their own militaries?

Anyone who says Gitmo was a human rights violation is a dipshit. OOOH, they made men get into big naked pyramids, how horrible! Think of the poor children!
From my knowledge; no one was having their eyes stabbed with hot metal, no one's nuts being electrified, no one have bamboo chutes put under their finger nails. There was no torture going on at Gitmo. And where the hell do you get this bullshit about secret jail systems? Methinks someone's been smoking too much crack.
They saty they will co operate yet they wont release inffo. They have tonnes of "secret files"that wont be released.
Yeah, because we want foreign shitheads like you knowing our deepesy secrets of national security. I doubt your nation divulges every secret it has to the world, so piss off.
They cover up stuff too. If anyone has read "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell you will recognise similarities

Of course you'd not like it if we have a missile defense system. That way we would not longer be at the mercy of the commie nations with nukes. We see where your loyalties lie.

To the person above.
Here's a tip:
torture isn't ONLY excruciating pain designed to extract information or get back at someone. It can be many many other things as well.
However, to the guy who voiced his concerns over the US's fucking around and shitting + bullshitting everything. I've realized that long ago. The U.S. has problems, so does most every country in existence. WE can just get away with plenty via 'nuclear muscle etc.'
What can I say?.
The United States is pretty fucked up. Now Iran having nukes?. Well, considering they 'might' have the nerve to bomb out Israel and a couple other countries. I have a bit of a problem with that. Especially if it's based on relegious intolerance.
Anyways, voice your opinions out loud. NOT just on a little respected internet forum such as this.
My name is John Ching, I have run this account since 2006. Thank you for the opportunity.

they were terrorists, and the use of certain measures are necessary to get information and to let them know who is in charge. so if we get our hands on osama-bin laden striping his ass naked and having him bark like a dog is only the beginning.
so are you just trying to give us a vocabulary lesson, or are you against the use of any type of measures to get information in order to save the people of this county?

Seems to me that a large proportion of the recent topics posted to the politics forum are jumping on the Anti America bandwagon.
We get it. You want to seem outraged, but in an area you know will be accepted.

Even though it has proven to work. It has a 90% hit probability, meaning if 2 missiles are used its is almost certain it will intercept the missile. And that is just that single missile system, the US has a 3 tier missile defense system, long-range, mid-range, and close range. When used in unison they are very effective.
The reason it has been given some negative publicity isn't because it doesn't work. It DOES work, but during the Gulf War, when Iraq launched missiles at Israel, the Patriot anti-missile batteries HIT their target, but the intercepted missiles still ended up falling and exploding on the ground.
So even though it is like hitting a bullet with another bullet, the US HAS mastered it due to the genius of the technology and design. But theres no way of ENSURING every single time that the interceptor missiles hit the target well enough to completely negate the threat from that missile.
It WILL however be enough to protect the intended target of the incoming missile, which is worth it.
A missile goes at around Mach 10. (To go space) This means the rocket or watever will have to go atleastMach 11. And wat if it misses- two missiles hit the US. One is US missile(!) Waste of space
It doesn't work that way you dipshit. The missiles are designed to hit the incoming missile very high up in the atmosphere, therefore it disintegrates into tiny pieces.
What you said is like saying that jet fighters are pointless because the enemy fighters they shoot down might fall from the sky and hit a house or something.

biased?
and how did we "fuk up" iraq? they have free elections now, and are working on true independence. they are no longer under the reign of a mass murderer.
They dont let iran go nuclear yet in the 1980-1990s they secretly let india become nuclear and they also try stop countries like china go nuclear. This way, they will stay superpower.
india going nuclear balances out pakistan...maybe, i'm not too sure on this part.

oh noes! "literally every human right law there is?!?!?!?!?" what about killing off millions of people? we haven't done that.
oh noes! a government with ""secret files"!?!?!?!?" well, no shit. every government has stuff they can't afford to have leaked to the public. fer'instance, the have-blue project )f117 stealth fighter). every government has secrets. the us's freedom of the press allows more people to be conscious of ours.
oh noes! "they cover up stuff!?!?!?!" no wai! no government would ever cover stuff up...except...no, wait. that's right, every government has cover ups.
also, 1984 is more like soviet russia than the united states. us of a has no posters of big brother, and does not examine in detail the lives of its 300 million plus residents and citizens.

a missile knockout system might seem dumb now, but that's because it seems impossible. lots of stuff thought to be impossible has been done, why not try this one?

You want to talk about corrupt countries, you had better put these higher on the list. China, Russia, Liberia, Iran, North Korea, I could go on.
Grow up, look into a little bit of history. Mass genocide will not be found as part of US doing.

Or maybe because the weapon isn't accurate and ends up killing plenty of civilians?
Or do you think that flamethrowers shouldn't be banned either? Because they are. Any country using them would face the international court for war crimes.

Yeh I think it was a bit of a over reaction. It isn't nice but then again prison isn't supposed to be.
I think the point is it's hard for a country to stand there and say something is wrong then make exceptions for itself. The US wouldnt like it if Iraq had treated PoWs the same way.
Yeah, because we want foreign shitheads like you knowing our deepesy secrets of national security. I doubt your nation divulges every secret it has to the world, so piss off.
Yeh, I do agree that the State should control some information. There is one thing having the right to see what the police has down about you personally, or making company's stop giving you bloody phone calls but why the hell do you need to know every secret agent in Iraq's name?
They cover up stuff too. If anyone has read "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell you will recognise similarities
I love it when people compare things to 1984. No country in the world is anywhere near that book.
That guy is on some seriously good drugs :P

The system would work, the missile wouldn't need to go faster then a nuke, just have a advanced system to launch the anti-nuke missile at the right time into the nuke's path.
The defence system is good idea and I hope they put it in the UK to be honest.

A) You don't know what human rights are.
B) President Bush acknowledged the existence of secret prisons a long time ago. It's a type of black site. It's one thing to be uninformed on a topic, it's another thing to discuss a topic you're poorly informed about, but it's wholly another thing to call someone a bullshitter and a crackhead just because you're ignorant.

1.) Missile defence. Sure it may be 90% effective but there are two problems with this. It was discovered that when testing the Patriot missile the contractors considered success to be if the missiles passed close to each other, regardless of if the incoming missile was destroyed. So missiles would end up blowing shit up even when the defence system had met with success. Not saying this is still the case.
2.) I was on the anti-American bandwagon long before it was cool.

India was allowed to go nuclear to balance out the Muslim extremeism in that region, and to play fair with Pakistan.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? A POW camp is an abuse of human rights? We captured people, and now they pay for their failure to win. They are NOT US Citizens, and are NOT entitled to the protections under the Constitution. As for secrets, everybody's got them. Big Whoop. And your 1984 refrence is misplaced. I see no similarities. Our economy is not socialist, we do not actively destroy history, we do not surperss every alternate opinion, we have not always been at war with Eastasia, and George Bush is not watching me. My viewscreen is off.

The point was pretty clear to everyone. As long as the US breaks all it's own rules, and then some the international community propose, then don't expect ANY other countries to follow rules, and don't expect every other country to jump up and down like America when pointing out "breaches" and "treaties" violations of other nations.
You can't have it both ways.

Abu Gharib was run by US troops until recently

Three people present for the meeting that day all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper.”
Bush on Constitution: 'It's Just a Goddamned Piece of Paper'
/////////////////////////////////////////////
////////////
by Doug Thompson
Capitol Hill Blue
http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish /article_7779.shtml
December 9, 2005
Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office to meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the controversial USA Patriot Act.
Several provisions of the act, passed in the shell shocked period immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, caused enough anger that liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union had joined forces with prominent conservatives like Phyllis Schlafly and Bob Barr to oppose renewal.
GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.
“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”
“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”
“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”
I’ve talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper.”
.”
Notice how they have quotes that have nothing to do with the alleged "incident" and how he says he talked to 3 people, funny how 3 people of the GOP, would say he did that. You sir are an idiot to think this is a credible source. The media would have jumped on that. " indymedia.org is not reliable in the least. I guess you have to use false information to justify your equally false opions.
