I, personally, enjoy the Classics:
Dracula
Frankenstein
Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
Creature from the Black Lagoon
The Wolf Man
The Mummy
Nosferatu
And, My personal favourite: the Zombies from Dawn of the Dead.

In terms of who is the coolest, I'd have to say Hannibal Lecter.
He's such a creepy guy, and almost has a sense of... "Class".
Especially in Red Dragon.

Another of my favourites, is a man from an Edgar Allen Poe story called The Cask of Amontillado. His name was Montresor, and in the story, he was insulted by a very rich and powerful man, so he devised the perfect way to kill him.
Quite possibly the greatest Horror story of all time.

I suggest you read the Wikipedia article on it.
The story it's self was only about fifteen pages long, so the summery, should be even shorter.
Do your self a favour and read it.

Here's the full thing.
I've read it a number of times, and it sends shivers down my spine, each time.

Best horror movie villain? The chick from misery, played by Kathy Bates is scary as hell. she is the most realistic horror villain.

Could the alien from Alien count, or do monsters not?

I suppose the main villain in that film would be Ash, or the company.

Yeah, I pick them.

That is a great story - Poe was an awesome writer.

I think my favorite villian is Hannibal - but I'll have to admit the book "IT" did scare the piss out of me. The movie is quite cheesy compared to the book. Although I love the fact that Tim Curry plays Pennywise. Clowns are creepy.

After awhile, the Freddy movies became very cheesy - anyone else think so? The first one was good in my opinion - i think i also enjoyed #3...can't remember. I actually watched them all in one night once.

My friend says the first and third ones are alright.
The rest of them, though, suck.
And Freddy vs. Jason had some potential, but really just made Freddy look like a pussy, Jason look like a badass with bad luck, and all the rest of the characters complete stereotypes. It was sorta amusing, though.

Carrie's mom is a bitch. Explains why Carrie went batshit that night; I mean, look at her family.

I never saw Freddy vs jason. I think the last one i saw was "a new nightmare". Yeah...when i said i watched all the movies in one night...it was a long time ago - I was like 15, i think. It was beforefreddy vs Jason. Damn i must be old.

Yeah, in the movie it's completely her fault to why she's telekinetic. In the book it's the father's fault, but for once, I actually preferred the movie (1976 version).

Really? I seem to remember the mother really messing with Carrie in the book; I didn't even think the father was around.

Wade Fulp is a perfectly valid choice, and my number 1... Followed by Pinhead, Freddy, Jigsaw, Captain Howdy (Satan) in no particular order. I like a villain with some pizzazz. Guys like Jason, Mike Meyers, Scream Dude, etc. are boring as hell.
