That's fucking ridiculous. This was over a milennium ago. Americans colonised America four hundred years ago. Most Americans are their direct descendants. The same thing was going on all over the world when the Angles and Saxons were doing this. Just tribes looking for land.

That's a pathetic excuse for justifying that what your peoople did was perfectly ok even though both of our ancestors pretty much did the exact same shit.

My ancestors? This is nearly a milennium and a half ago. Since then Vikings took control of most of the country, Normans invaded and many French and English mixed. There has been all sorts of immigration. What you're essentially saying is we should look down on Italians for Roman persecution of Christains.

Yep. In fact I got my degree EXACTLY one year ago today, ahead of my class. What a coincidence.
No, I definately do not believe you. You have done nothing to demonstrate the fact you are a genius (something you would need to be to graduate from school in two years or have skipped two years in high school).
I graduated high school 3 months after my 17th birthday. Before I even graduated high school I had earned college credit through the Running Start program at my local community college as well as internet classes through BYU. I had 64 college credits when I started at UW, and I took a 32 credit per quarter course load.
In fact, I graduated "Magna Cum Laude"
In fact I remember you posting about how two years ago you were smoking pot in your parents basement and doing shrooms and other psychoactives along with some coke. Do I believe you have already completed 120 something credit hours to get your degree? Fuck no.
I did do a shit load of drugs. But I had a momentous religious experience so I changed my ways. And drugs didn't really affect my education at all. I still graduated from high school with 4.0 (although I did get a B- dropped from my grades).
It's "earn as you go" depending on how many clients I get.Thats called a salesman.
No... I am an apprentice of a craft. I am a gun technician.
I am just as skilled as my full-time coworkers. In a few years as a part-timer you have become just as skilled at your job as people who have worked at their job full time for years, if not decades? Yeah right.
Thats my opinion, yes.
I get payed 60% of the profit on whatever project I work on which is usually $800-$1000 per project and I do 1-3 of them per week, and I'm very fucking good at what I do.Describe what you do. And I want to know where you work.
I am a gun technician. I modify, customize, accurize, repair/ maintain rifles, pistols, and sub-machine guns for law enforcement, both local and federal. And occasionally we have been hired to refurbish weapons from the US Army and some private security contractors. I do everything from simple cleaning, to completely overhauling surplus rifles that we get from the local Army base at Fort Lewis.
And although i don't get payed for this, I also occasionally get to participate in evaluations of new weapons, accessories and ammunition. One weekend every 3 or 4 months we all go to the range and test various new products and try out new guns. In 3 weeks we are going to the range and a representative from Magpul is going to let us try out the new Masada rifle they have developed.
If I stay on at my job, I'll be making 6 figures within 5 years.Again, I hope you are thanking daddy who got you your internship.
I have. But if I didn't work where I do now, I would probably be working at Boeing which is only a 30 minute commute from where I live and is in my home town of Everett where my parents live.
And I got friends in business, that aint the easiest degree and it is very linear. You need one class to take another and this takes time, more than two years. To put it simply, I do not believe you in the least and I think you are lying out your ass. Whatever. Doesnt matter to me, you are the only one who knows if you are lying or not.
Ahem...

Ehh, I will give it to you, I have seen a lot of high schoolers (going to 3 different high schools and all) and I was in the classes where all the kids who were at the top of the class were in. Never once did I meet someone who had that many credit hours going in to college. I myself had 22ish and the most from kids I knew was 40ish (solely from AP classes) so I didnt even know it was possible to do crap like that. Never once did I meet someone who was taking college level classes outside of a high school setting so wasnt aware of that kind of thing.
Yeah, I was a jackass here. I shouldnt have jumped to conclusions about other people. But I have one suggestion, try not to be a douchebag and people wont doubt your credibility. Thats it, I never would have doubted you otherwise.

I suppose you're making assumptions. Oh wait, I know that.
It's a common misconception that all Indians were just some peace-loving hippie-esque nomads that were wiped off the map by a bunch of evil white people.
No one said that.
Anyone ever heard of the attacks on the first colonies the Europeans set up? The Apache tribe? You only hear about the truly peaceful ones such as the Cheyenne, who actually started to welcome European and American technolgies such as rifles and horses after a while.
I don't pretend to know that much about the colonisation. There were quite well-documented cases of massacres, locking natives in disease-infested prisons, all sorts.
People didn't hate Indians because they inhabitited fertile land, they hated them because of the tribes that really were bad, and there were a lot more vicious than most people think.
They didn't hate them. They just thought they were better than them.
Also, even though it is only 400 years, there is so much immigration and people that didn't even come here until about 1910 when almost all Indians were gone.
Still, a lot of Americans are descended from the early European settlers.
What's also beautiful is that the remaining Indian tribes make it seem as if it is perfectly legal to abuse the United States law codes and establish casions
Why should they abide to USA law? Also, what's a casion? As long as they're not robbing or murdering people, they should be left alone, without taxes.
and rob very, very many people because of conflicts many of them had nothing to do with.
Then lock them up as dangers to society.

Thats what you have to say, after having insulted me viciously...

Well I intentionally tried to have an outstanding transcript to help my chances of getting accepted for a scholarship. I pissed off my parents so my dad refused to pay for my tuition due to my lifestyle choices (smoking, drinking, drugs), so I had to do something to get the attention of the people who screened the applications.
And this worked well because post 9/11, UW and other liberal colleges were very eager to accept applicants that would create a diverse student population, and they intentionally picked up what would appear to be "charity cases" for promising Arab Americans. And me being a 17 year old half-Arab, with an Arabic surname, that increased my chances. Having an impressive transcript though, only sealed the deal by making me stick out in the list of applicants.
The funny thing is though, my legal name IS Kent Wayne Rogers-Sharmad, but I never, ever go by Sharmad. It's not on my drivers license, my credit cards, passport, or anything other than my birth certificate really. Having my attendance, grades, student records, and eventual diploma titled with 'Sharmad was a little bit of a ploy. So I played into that a little bit to my advantage, it made me a shoo-in.
But don't hate, that's just called being clever.
I myself had 22ish and the most from kids I knew was 40ish (solely from AP classes) so I didnt even know it was possible to do crap like that. Never once did I meet someone who was taking college level classes outside of a high school setting so wasnt aware of that kind of thing.
It's called Running Start. It's all the rage these days.. If you are in college-level classes in high school, you can earn college credits and high school credits simultaneously from the same course. It's kind of cheating, but then again its pretty of reasonable.
Yeah, I was a jackass here. I shouldnt have jumped to conclusions about other people. But I have one suggestion, try not to be a douchebag and people wont doubt your credibility. Thats it, I never would have doubted you otherwise.
Douchebag huh? A douchebag for simply stating something.... You're the one who brought it on by questioning me, otherwise I wouldn't have had to flaunt my degree and make boastful claims that would constitute the behavior of a 'douchebag'.
And even though you didn't actually say sorry... apology accepted. Your Karma is now balanced.

But from what I heard was just basic ignorance that most Europeans have come to bathe in. For example, the UK "invented" the US? No, the poor population of Europe which had no way of escaping poverty and religious persecution came to what was then just known as the 13 colonies which were ESTABLISHED by the UK, but that's only because the jails were filling up and there was terrible overpopulation. It wasn't some good deed, just another selfish attempt at the British trying to make themselves look better than everyone but in the end failing miserably. That's one reason why British imperialism failed, the popular support that every empire needs just was non-existant.
The US was started by the UK you dick. Nearly everything from your law system to your language originates from Britain. You even still use the old british measurments. So don't be a complete ignorant dick. The people who owned the united states were still the rich people. They were still generaly White protestants. It wasn't as if the american revelotion was a working class revolt. And in the first hundred years of americans life it well an proved it could be as imperialistic and cold blooded as britain herself.
And it wasn't because the 'jails' were filling up it was for britain to expand her empire. And what do you mean Britain imperialism failed, Britain's empire was the largest the world has ever seen, survived hundreds of years and through two world wars. Sort it out!
So 1620-1650, tons of crap happens and what was just a little experiment that started with the Mayflower and a few hundred starving people, turns out to become a coastline of either white settlers, Indians, or more white settlers. This is all people who wanted start a new life outside of England and other areas of Europe. Then, terrible, terrible, terrible, and unfair taxes and regulations were inforced, (Quartering Act, Stamp Act, tea taxes, abuse by British occupation) people get pissed off, so about 150 years later after events such as the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Declaration of Independence, theres a huge war and the British lose, but not by the longshot that the media portrays, of course.
If you actually studied history and not just be brainwashed at school, you'll find out that american colonists generally had it better of than anyone else in the british empire even the british them selves. The way Britain treated america was actually pretty good. Even in the war of independence. Britain had to keep the loyalists on there side so the american people and POW were treated reasonably well. Look at the american war of independence and then study some of the irish or indian rebellions,
America got it fuckin lucky.
Now where are we? A world full of idiots like you misinterpreting our history. Fuck off.

Not really. Britain imposed taxes, despite the fact many of the colonies were started by artisans alone and not charter ones. Such laws included not being able to move to a certain area, not permitted to use iron tools and only wooden ones (where the wooden shovel comes from) not having a free press in all colonies, despite once again, not all colonies were in ownership of the king, not being able to invent new methods of production or new tools, etc.
The way Britain treated america was actually pretty good.
Yes, being elitist cocks and imposing taxations on a people you regard as a third class is the aspiration of any nation.
Even in the war of independence. Britain had to keep the loyalists on there side so the american people and POW were treated reasonably well.
That was a given.
Look at the american war of independence and then study some of the irish or indian rebellions,
The only reason Britain didn't do the same shit is because they had a very delicate situation not to ward off their loyalist followers or cause others to join the Sons of Liberty.
America got it fuckin lucky.
If you mean resource wise, yes. But Britain only started to interfere in this mass of land when it was discovered it had a large quantity of resources.

Americans had lower taxes than people living in britain. They weren't regarded as third class citizens, it was just that they didn't have any reprisation back in Britain. The taxes were actually low and they were there to fund defense against the spanish, french or whoever else.
So actually the People in the colonies had a better standard of life than any other part of the empire including Britain itself.
The only reason Britain didn't do the same shit is because they had a very delicate situation not to ward off their loyalist followers or cause others to join the Sons of Liberty.
I just said that.

Hahahaha. Wow. You really believe that? The British provided the 13 colonies with laws, albeit unfair ones. They also provided protection, but at the cost of very. very high taxes. And at that it was reluctant half-assed defense that the British only enforced because of the economical benefit.

No you don't. You know a perverted form that just so happens comes from the country that lost the Revolutionary War.
My information comes from american sources generally. the American revelotion isn't a very big war, I doubt many people in Britain know much about the French and indian wars, American war of independence or war of 1812 because there overshadowed by napoleon and various other wars.

No its not, no it is not at all. You're just pulling random nonsense out of your ass as always. Only the original 13 colonies were British and those only make up a small fraction of the entire US as it is today.
The US is a conglomerate of English, Dutch, French, Portuguese, German, and Spanish colonies, and the US currently has the most ethnically diverse population in the world due to massive immigration from all over the world. So the origins of America over 300 years ago mean nothing.
Only 70% of Americans are even European of descent, and the majority of white Americans are of GERMAN descent, not British descent.
Even if it goes back to the Magna carter. Britain is it's origins.
You seriously have no clue what the hell you are talking about, ever.
Your law system
Um, your country was a parliamentary Monarchy with no checks and balances and no due process of the law....
your military
Huh? You mean our military that barely even existed when American CIVILIANS defeated YOUR military? You mean our current military that YOUR COUNTRY imitates in military doctrine today? You mean our military that is many times more powerful than yours and from which YOUR country gets almost all of its high-end equipment? You mean our military that COMMANDED your military in Afghanistan and Iraq due to our higher ability of coordinating wars compared to YOUR military? You're comparing your military to our military?
You're on crack. Today, your military wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for American technology, tactics, and innovation in general.
For fucks sake even your National anthem
WRONG. It was only set to the tune of a British folk song. Our National Anthem is the Star-Spangled Banner, which was written by Francis Scott Key who was an America. The inspiration came from a battle that he witnessed against the Brits (in which we won).
and your flag is British designed.
Um NO IT'S NOT. It was designed by an American woman named Elizabeth Griscom Ross (Betsy Ross). The original colonial flags had a British flag on them originally, but this was changed after the Revolution.
It wasn't British designed you fool.
Maybe there very differnet, but they have there origins in the british.
Your logic about everything is completely ridiculous. Little do you know, but the British have their origins in the Proto-Germans who invaded the British isles, in fact the English language itself is a Germanic tongue.. According to your irrational, petty and childish logic, you should be saying that your country owes its success to present day Germany.
Thats bollocks. Constant revolts didn't fuckin it up. Two world wars fucked it up, and the modern age fucked it up. After ww2 Countries such as france and america kept nagging for britain to let go of the empire. and they did.
Haha it's funny how you ALWAYS contradict something you have previously stated in order to prove a separate point. Now you FINALLY admit that Britain only stopped it's imperial ways due to pressure from the US and other allies after WWII... when I had brought this up before, you had stated proudly that Britain had relinquished it's imperial control out of mercy...
A very small amount of countries atually succesfully revolted.
And that is why the America is such a miraculous success story. We revolted against your country's imperial rule and created the first Constitutional, Democratic Republic in the world with checks and balances that is the OLDEST, longest surviving constitution in the world today.
Then a few hundred years later we saved your ass from destruction, and we caused the independence of your other subject nations, most of which now are closer allies with the US than with your country, despite the whole Commonwealth farce. And now, every major democratic nation in the world owes it's prosperity and very existence to the US, the so called "bastard child" of British imperialism. And now to this day, we swapped roles and now your country is somewhat subservient to the US.
Karma at a global scale... excellent.
And also britain has never had enormous standing armies.
Neither did the US, in fact, our army was practically nonexistent when the US defeated the British.
My information comes from american sources generally. the American revelotion isn't a very big war, I doubt many people in Britain know much about the French and indian wars, American war of independence or war of 1812 because there overshadowed by napoleon and various other wars.
Thats funny because they teach about the American Revolution in Germany in full detail. It seems your country intentionally tries to pretend the Revolution never happened, just like how today your country pretends that America didn't come to the fucking rescue for your country twice.

Scroll up. And read. Actually, Control-F 'extermination'.
Ha, really?
Give me examples.
There were, but it was the actions of a few Indian tribes that caused rumors and ignorance to spread around and cause people to make conclusions that eventually led to such actions.
So that justifies the burning of villages, slaughtering of women and children, etc.
You really need to educate yourself on American history if you are going to try to debate with anyone American.
You're really going to need to say something about your point if you don't want to look pathetic.
A very small amount of the American population is white anymore. It's a nation of immigrants and nowadays few come from Europe because of the higher living standards and reformed governments.
Yeah, everyone is Greek, Irish or Mexican and stuff. And then there are Jews, Japanese, Carribean. A lot of immigration. It still doesn't change the foundations of the country.
I meant casino. A casino is basically a gambling establishment on an Indian reservation, or established by Indians in places where gambling is OKed. Things like slots in the United States is considered to be gambling and is therefore illegal in many states.
What about Las Vegas? This state system of law is really confusing.

I know what you mean. When I was a jr in college. The first thing my idiot Canuck classmates picked was American Animosity. Like fuck off! There are billions of other worthy topics to chose. Like It's not as if Canada isn't a perfect country that's blood-stained free of blood and crimes.
For example, turning back Jewish refuges who were fleeing Hitler, or likewise running internment camps. Or Genocide against aboriginals. Like of course these young kids who were my classmates forgotten about the Oka incident in Quebec, where the Quebec Government wanted to extend a golf course to the full 18, over some sacred burial grounds.
All they could think of was mentioning American. I hate group projects. I really have nothing to say negative about Americans. They're just humans, and humans are prone to do stupid shit. What about my Chinese people? As if the invasion of India and Vietnam (both failed). or prison camps for Falun Gong, and Christians make their dirty cum soaked hands clean.
America does bad things, because they're human! Canada does bad things, but doesn't get counted? why because we don't have nukes? we don't have the billions in submarines and planes as the states? What about Somalia? We had a teenaged boy, and he was racially lynched. The last I heard, lynching ended in the 60s in America.
Why don't my classmates want to pick that? shame on Canada, for not getting with the peaceful times. We still have to resort to lynching. I hate college girls. That chick who suggested that topic, she should just go back to the clubs, or do more research.
Bottom line. Humans are damnable monsters, not Americans. Americans have more charities than Canada. And..... America influenced people to challenge racial prejudices, America was the first to the moon. All my country came up with is "Canadarm".
So why are we all fixated on just the fuck ups of one country, when ALL countries are degenerate fuck ups? Why not talk about the contributions a country has made to the world. And America's outweighs Canada's.
Don't recall any Canadian companies that produces cars, well maybe Bombardier trains and planes. But America produces Boeings.
If anything, Europe with their higher technologly is better than the States and Canada. All My Canada seems to want to do is play hockey, tax ciggerates, eat poo poo tien. and worry about this Battle for Alberta Bullshit. While America solves REAL problems the world has.
All Canada cares about is NDP, Liberal, and Conservative politicians who piss and moan about inconsequential stuff. Or Canadians worry about some stupid ice brooms and rocks and Tim Hortons Briar Cup.
Canadians are sure friendly though........ like those idiot redneck spawns in their farmer trucks, or nice sports cars giving me the finger for no apparent reason!

Yeh that was an accident, though you're too busy being a sarcastic fucker that you didn't think about that did you?
But from what I heard was just basic ignorance that most Europeans have come to bathe in. For example, the UK "invented" the US? No, the poor population of Europe which had no way of escaping poverty and religious persecution came to what was then just known as the 13 colonies which were ESTABLISHED by the UK, but that's only because the jails were filling up and there was terrible overpopulation. It wasn't some good deed, just another selfish attempt at the British trying to make themselves look better than everyone but in the end failing miserably. That's one reason why British imperialism failed, the popular support that every empire needs just was non-existant.
Uhh yes, because we protected those colonies from various countries and things. We established them, we ran them, we only stopped running and protecting them when you decided you didn't want to pay our taxes.
Clearly you aren't wised up on British Imperialism. There are plenty of reasons that British Imperialism failed, yes popularity was one of them, but do you know why it was unpopular? Because the US decided to loan money to the British during both world wars, instead of just giving money to their war allies. Then when we attempted to hang onto the empire the Americans decided that Imperialism was Bad(tm) and withdrew their economic support from our country.
Now America is throwing its weight around the world because there is no-one to stop them. Hypocritical much?
Yes you're right, BRitain did exploit the colonies, something which I have always said that if we had never done we might still be an Empire now, who knows? We left America after the war because we didn't think America was worth the resources it'd take to reclaim it. We were wrong.
Then the United States establishes one of the fairest government systems imaginable, where the government has no power without the people, the people are hopeless without the government. There are flaws, every government has them, but this system was fair and the principles were so good that they managed to survive even in the modern world and help the country through it's various struggles even though it was not designed to do so. A few people riding horses and taking half-year-long voyages in wooden boats.
Hahahahahaha..... oh wait, you're serious? Fair government? A type of government that revolves around money, and you can't even stand for any governmental position unless you're rolling in it? In the UK it costs just £500 to run for MP. How much would it cost to run for congressman?
The US system isn't fair by a long shot, only one thing talks in the American system, and that's money.
This is just a very, very, VERY small summary and it would take multiple full-lngth posts to hardly scratch the surface of our history.
Now where are we? A world full of idiots like you misinterpreting our history. Fuck off.
Or how about a nation full of fucking morons like you who are convinced of the US superiority and that your history is all rosey and the Americans are always the good guys. Its morons like you that make people hate your country.

Actually the largest desent is British because thats English, Scottish and welsh desent.
Were as English on it's own is 3rd or 4th.
Even if it goes back to the Magna carter. Britain is it's origins. You seriously have no clue what the hell you are talking about, ever.
Your law systemUm, your country was a parliamentary Monarchy with no checks and balances and no due process of the law....
your militaryHuh? You mean our military that barely even existed when American CIVILIANS defeated YOUR military? You mean our current military that YOUR COUNTRY imitates in military doctrine today? You mean our military that is many times more powerful than yours and from which YOUR country gets almost all of its high-end equipment? You mean our military that COMMANDED your military in Afghanistan and Iraq due to our higher ability of coordinating wars compared to YOUR military? You're comparing your military to our military?
You're on crack. Today, your military wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for American technology, tactics, and innovation in general.
Britains military would exist you prick. And Britains brought huge amounts of technology and tactics which americans use. fucking loads.
And I don't give a shit how powerful your military is. It was based on the British.
For fucks sake even your National anthemWRONG. It was only set to the tune of a British folk song. Our National Anthem is the Star-Spangled Banner, which was written by Francis Scott Key who was an America. The inspiration came from a battle that he witnessed against the Brits (in which we won).
Same tune. so whatever mate.
and your flag is British designed.Um NO IT'S NOT. It was designed by an American woman named Elizabeth Griscom Ross (Betsy Ross). The original colonial flags had a British flag on them originally, but this was changed after the Revolution.
Alright you added a couple of stars where the British flag was.
Maybe there very differnet, but they have there origins in the british.Your logic about everything is completely ridiculous. Little do you know, but the British have their origins in the Proto-Germans who invaded the British isles, in fact the English language itself is a Germanic tongue.. According to your irrational, petty and childish logic, you should be saying that your country owes its success to present day Germany.
I know we do, But its been well over 1000 years. Americas only been 300. America has it's origins with the british empire not modern day britain.
Thats bollocks. Constant revolts didn't fuckin it up. Two world wars fucked it up, and the modern age fucked it up. After ww2 Countries such as france and america kept nagging for britain to let go of the empire. and they did.Haha it's funny how you ALWAYS contradict something you have previously stated in order to prove a separate point. Now you FINALLY admit that Britain only stopped it's imperial ways due to pressure from the US and other allies after WWII... when I had brought this up before, you had stated proudly that Britain had relinquished it's imperial control out of mercy...
I never contradicted it, I just said it was more france than america.
A very small amount of countries atually succesfully revolted. And that is why the America is such a miraculous success story. We revolted against your country's imperial rule and created the first Constitutional, Democratic Republic in the world with checks and balances that is the OLDEST, longest surviving constitution in the world today.
It's not a miraculous story. Pratically everything went right for the US. And they won a rebellion.
America didn't save Britains 'ass' from destruction for fucks sake. How many times have I told you and eventually have just stopped posting. In WW1 america didn't do much. By the time america entered WW2 Hitler had given up an invasion attempt on the british isles and attacked russia. After WW2 the soviet Union wouldn't of been able to even cross the english channel. So no America did not save our asses.
Neither did the US, in fact, our army was practically nonexistent when the US defeated the British.
My information comes from american sources generally. the American revelotion isn't a very big war, I doubt many people in Britain know much about the French and indian wars, American war of independence or war of 1812 because there overshadowed by napoleon and various other wars.Thats funny because they teach about the American Revolution in Germany in full detail. It seems your country intentionally tries to pretend the Revolution never happened, just like how today your country pretends that America didn't come to the fucking rescue for your country twice.
lol you don't know shit. We don't even learn the napoleonic wars in school let alone the american war of independence or any of the other north american wars. even so we pratically won the others.
Britian doesn't change history like america does, it doesnt hide anything from us. I learnt about the Irish indpendence in school. Because thats more important to us than the american war of independence.
And america did not come to the rescue. lol Britain was safe when america joined the war.
you complete dick. And I know thats what they teach you in schools that america saved the day in WW1 and WW2. Its pathetic.

It's a fact that they were low taxes and they were taxes to protect the colonies.
American colonists were treated well.
You make huge deals out of the boston massacre. You only have to look at some massacres in American history, Native indian wars, Philipino wars. and even Second world war and vietnam to maker the boston massacre look fuckin pathetic.

Ever hear about the Land-Lease act? I think not.
After France had fallen in 1940, the United Kingdom was out of money. Franklin Roosevelt persuaded the U.S. Congress to pass the Lend-Lease act on March 11, 1941, which provided the United Kingdom and 37 other countries with US$50 billion dollars in military equipment and other supplies, US$31.4 billion of it going to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
To me that sounds like an ass saving.

America helped. But didn't save britains ass.
Whats that famous quote too Franklin Roosevelt?

Because America entered the war late. Americans seem to think America was the savior.

The war started in late 1939 and the US entered in December of 1941. The war lasted until mid-1945. That isn't that late.
Americans think that we "saved" the war for numerous reasons. One reason is what I already posted. Another reason is the pro-American propaganda we have which I am sure that England somewhat uses as well.
Also, what if Japan hadn't attacked China, or the US, and focused upon the USSR? They didn't because they signed a treaty with them and Germany wasn't giving Japan enough info.
You keep understating all the US contributed to the war, which was a lot more then showing up late.

The current military of America probably has more in common with the Mongolian hordes than with British redcoats. Same goes to modern UK, FYI.
I never contradicted it, I just said it was more france than america.
I still want to see a link to this because I frankly dont believe it.

You would know this how. . .

???
After ww2 Countries such as france and america kept nagging for britain to let go of the empire.
France had a prodigious colonial Empire and I have never heard that before so I highly doubt that. But lets take a case study for the path of independence of Britains most valuable colony: India. During the early stages of WWII Britian realized there was no way they could possibly hold their Eastern holdings with a powerful Japanese Navy (with their carriers) romping the outclassed British fleets of battleships. So Britain promised India independence if they promised to see this war out fighting on Britains side. And that is eventually what happened.
I would be interested to see what information you have to back your assertion up.
A very small amount of countries atually succesfully revolted.
You dont have to revolt successfully to gain independence. Anyways, there were plenty of successful revolts. One that comes immediately to mind is Egypt.
At 3/3/07 12:27 PM, zzzzd wrote: It wasn't as if the american revelotion was a working class revolt.
It was supported by both the common classes and upper classes on both the Loyalist and Revolutionary sides, it would be a farce to state otherwise. Dont be ignorant.
And in the first hundred years of americans life it well an proved it could be as imperialistic and cold blooded as britain herself.
I see a big difference between expanding a small country into a big country to better protect herself different than placing countries under imperial influence simply to prosper. The expansion of America in many respects was like the expansion of Rome, often expansion and conqueoring of territory was the result of a need for security.
America got it fuckin lucky.
Just because you think they had it lucky by no means gave the British government back in the 18th century the right to tax a country without hearing their voices in government. All countries under the British umbrella eventually figured this out, America just figured it out earlier while in the heart of Enlightment ideals.

I honestly don't think England has nearly as much Pro-American propaganda.

Theres a million what if's in WW2 or anywar in that fact.

I'm not understating how much the US put into the war. The US put huge amounts, I just think some americans should actually learn a bit about WW2 before shouting off that they won it all.
