What is the best beer?

Right now I am drinking some delicious Budweiser. I've had numerous beers and it remains one of my favorites. How about you?

I know, it's almost 6 in the morn and I am staying up drinking and lurking NG. I have no life.

Its funny because Budweiser beat a whole bunch of German-based beers in taste tests in that genre of light beer, which is "pale lager".

Don't dis on Budweiser just because it isn't a dark stout that most people consider to be 'quality beer'.

Personally, I think Budweiser is delicious, especially when you compare it to pale beers from other countries that taste like vomit. Even Canada's own version of Budweiser (which is brewed differently) tastes like crap.

You should feel lucky that in America we have such an abundance of tasty, cheap beer.

Budweiser isn't beer, it's more like an alcoholic soft drink that people decided to call a beer. Fresh beer tastes better? Don't make me fucking laugh. Beer needs age for the hop character and profile to mellow and come out (depending on the style), but for Budweiser to taste like it does without any aging, it's either not a beer or it's pumped full of chemicals.

Give me an Indian Pale Ale any day, Very hoppy with a nice citrus note. So refreshing, and has CHARACTER. Seriously guys, go to a store and pick out a load of single bottles of beer you have never heard of. Go for ales, ESBs, IPAs, APAs, Pilsners, Tripels, Cream ales, hell even a fruit ale!

Some of my favorites include:

Old Speckled Hen
Hobgoblin
Black Sheep
Discovery IPA
Badger's Ale
Waggledance (a honey ale)

Drink some real beer people! If you think it tastes like wank, stick to your Bacardi Breezers and Smirnoff ice. Pfffft. Couldn't get a five year old pissed.

You retard. You were bashing Budweiser, but then you suggest buying Pilsners, which in case you didn't know, Budweiser IS a Pilsner. That is why it doesn't have much hoppy taste, Pilsners are SUPPOSED to be light.
