This video here. To have an Idea what this is all about.
As many of you art forum regulars know, I have experience with collabs, and put together The White “Line” and soon after NG: People are strange, which won daily second.
Now I know tom highly recommends the use of audio portal entries, but once again I’m unfortunately going to have to rebel and go with another commercial song based collab.

This is a HUGE collab, that will likely take some time to finish, because like in people are strange, there IS going to be a limit to the quality of entries submitted.

BUT MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS NEXT PART
I hate when people don’t read or listen to the citeria.
For starters use the base pic bellow. Now keep in mind, the most of your drawing should be in the top half of the diamond, because the bottom half is supposed to be just a reflection, you can do the reflection yourself, of just leave the bottom half blank, and I’ll do it. You’re addition to the base pic shouldn’t go past or even touch the side points of the diamond, but can come out of the top of the diamond anywhere, just not passed the side points. Any questions about that, it is kinda tricky, I want you to make sure you understand, and help everyone else understand.

You can only use, BLACK, WHITE, SHADES OF GREY, AND RED!
And remember, the bottom half of the diamond is insignificant! It’s just a reflection of the top half.

Now at first I’m just looking for submissions with this base pic, but later on things will change, and there will be different requirements, so if you’re starting at this late make sure you read back a few pages first.

This is a huge collab, upon completion it has the potential to be the best since the red line. But It’s up to all of you to help be a part of it, and possibly be one of the top 9 to be co authored. If anyone really likes this idea and wants to do a bit of animating in there’s (which would be awesome) let me know so I can send you the diamond in an .fla. But I’m mainly just expecting picture responses to this.

The best thing you can do to try to understand this is watch the video, take a look at this very rough example made
Keep in mind the center of the diamond is going to be lower then in my example, more like the original.
Well I didn’t want to slap together some boring shitty collab, and so many people complain about the lack of animation. I think this is a fun idea, and I think it can work.
You can do whatever you want for you picture, following the guidelines above. I would prefer to sorta see a similar style to the original ex. Guitars/skeletons an shit. But ya, do whatever you want. black white grey red

Hmm... i need to think over about this... hmmm... how to do this... so it can be absolutely ANYTHING, only as long as it stays within the diamond? All i can do is sketching, i suck at drawing on PC, especially with MS Paint <_< I just dunno how itll look like if i would come up with a sketch and fit it together with the diamond... because i wont be coloring my figures or whatever.

Looking at your sketches, I see what you're saying.
Hmmm, Perhaps you guys can also just send images, and I will find a way to make them go together and work (i'm pretty good with photoshop).
So new note: You dont have to use the base pic, I just prefer at this time that you do. Otherwise as long as it's black, grey, white or red you can submit anything.

also, here is a quick shitty example, I still have yet to make my own quality submissions.
Your drawing should be above the red line, and then reflected below. I'd like to see the drawings interfere with the diamond itself, more so then just in the center (as two of you have alreayd posted)

say this was well done, and those guns weren't total shit, this is what im looking for, something sorta involved in the colred part of the diamond, it is ok to just have something in the center, but i would rather it come out of the center aswell. it will only show things in the center for a shortwile, and the next picture will come infront of it. which makes it understandable why i want it to be involved with the colored part of the diamond

AAAHHH! I cant do the reflection thingy by myself, im such a klutz in such things(Photoshop, whatever). Is it okay if you or anybody else could add reflection for my sketch when i submit it? I feel so stupid asking about it ^^;

well yeah, but as i just said your image wont be seen for long if it is only in the center, it should be sticking out of the diamond

Yes, as I said in my original post, I'd amost prefer you don't do the reflection, and I will do it. The main thing you guys have to worry about is having a picture in the top half of the diamond, without a sig, that comes out of the diamond and ther area around, rather then just the center.

You broke a couple of the guiedlins on the examble but.... i should be able to make this work still. I like what you did with the red, but take another look at the example you based this on, i said to keep things away from the side points of the diamond "above the red line"

ok i darkened it but, im a little confused on the video the inner diamond was always black and new images came out of there, would it be better keep the picture away from the inner diamond or is it ok to keep it on it?
