I was saved and baptized in a Baptist church when I was around 12/13. My mother was seeking faith and a reason to go on with her life after my parents got a divorce so she was constantly at church. At the time I did it because I believed in god and was ready to commit. All these years later I still believe in god, but don't at the same time. If there is a hell then I am probably going to it, but if god forgives everyone like he says, then I'll go to heaven. Sometimes I think religion is just an illusion.

I'll just say this and then I'll shut up. The way it was taught, you have to ask for forgiveness and believe in God in order to go to heaven. That's according to what I was taught anyway. Ok, I'm done.

Yeah, thats what I meant. Guess I wasn't too clear on that. Just in case I'm going to ask for forgiveness before I die. If I die too fast to ask then I better get some "ask for forgiveness" time before they boot me down to hell.

Ok first of all modern-day Satanism is life loving.. they wouldn't do that. And plus, Satanists are encouraged by the church of Satan itself to not tell anyone, and those who do are merely seeking ''respect''.

Hehe, do you walk to people's doors and talk to them about all that stuff? Sorry, I had to ask. There used to be a family of Jehovas Witnesses in my hometown and they bugged us at least twice a month on the weekends. One time me and my friend were at my house alone when the kids came to the door, I guess to try it out themselves, and we got them with a couple of super soakers. Mean, yes but I was just 13 so it was funny :-D

There are enough religion theads here. They need to be consolidated into one unless they are more specicific like based around one certain religion. BTW Proud Roman Catholic.
