Its actually looking pretty decent so far, but movement is impossible when your in the air. Change the movement. Like...when im in the air, if i quickly tap the opposite direction im going, he starts heading in that direction at the same speed he was origonally going. That makes it really hard to hit platforms correcly. You need some kind of acceleration.

but looking good so far. keep it up.

And that preloader ROCKS! I love that animation so much. MindChamber is proably my favorite FBf artist on NG, ever sinse i seen his animated robot logo.

how long did it actually take?

actually only about a day or two.

but thats not the point. using it is part of the rules. no problem being creative with it.

like Psycosis91 did

Alot of people are saying the play button doesn't work, and I checked it out and it doesn't work for me either. Codes maybe messed up a bit? :/

Also, I edited it a bit. I used Pico in the preloader and another character of mine, and I just edited some a bit. I don't know ... Maybe I should just use your preloader :/

Here's mine. It's lame and stupid, but it works... for me atleast.

Eh.

I'm gonna add some special thanks in the credits to you guys for creating the original preloader that I worked off of.

Is this any better. I increased the friction and changed the air friction... it might still look a little weird when hes in the air but i think it wont once i put in the jump animation... tell me if u think these physics are better?

Pico has a pointed nose, I wouldn't forget that.

I am aware of that, I just gave Pico some of my own flavor to develop him how I like him. You don't always have to stick to the guidelines dude, I got the basics down though. It would be pretty boring if everyone had the same old generic Pico.

It's just that I have always thought of Picos nose as his best characteristic.

I think that people should push it and see how far they can customize the character.
I sort of liked what people were doing interpretting it as an anime character etc.

It's definately more challenging because you are fighting the image people are accustomed to. Art has always been about fighting the system though so its definately possible to interpret pico in a totally different way and if you do a good enough job then people may even adopt it and embrace it. Thats how i felt about the sprite pico movie last year... i would have never thought a few pixel sprites could give pico justice.. but the attitude of the sprite and everything was right on.. and by the end of the movie i was like oh shit thats so pico.. and realistically the sprite looks nothing like the pico we are used to.
He simplified to the essence of the character. Very hard to do but definately doable.

I agree and that was one of my favs too.

Funny that you mention this cause, Pico NEVER had Uzis before, in any of his games.
That pretty much changed after Picos Unloaded, :-p
