4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsHey, me and Gust are workning on this new game and im doing the art/graphics. Theres not going to be much animation so i was wondering if you guys could comment on the preloader, title screen and highscore table page. Which is what ive got so far.
Gust is using some fance thing called "HaXe" to code it, so hes not acctually using flash and he's using AS3 so i gotta do it justice ^__^ haha.
So what i really need is some feedback, im hoping to give it that glossy shiny feel.

Make Marble more colourful, it's very dull in comparison to the rest of the screen, also the outer glows/drop shadows are way too strong.
I think they are nice.
I like the way it's not over populated or complicated.
Looking pretty sexy to me, but the white circle in the preloader frame, at the top left looks a bit misplaced. Other than that good job ;)

Well. This is awesome! It has a nice glossy flow in my opinion. The only thing is the loading screen just doesn't suit the game (which sounds like a marble game because of.....marble). I'm th\alking about it kinda melting. It just looks messy whereas the rest of it looks really glossy and neat. Thats why it doesn't suit in my opinion. Apart from that, Its awesome!

Ah, yes. I see what you mean. The thing is that thats "my" preloader. Its a pretty basic preloader but i use it on all my submissions.
The glass button things are straight from a tutorial.
I would know, as i've done that myself before.
Overall, lighten the drop shadows, and vary the colors to be more vivid in the glass buttons themselves.

Looks great. Why not add a reddish/dark feel to the game over screen :D. Anyway, looks great so far :).

Fuzz, you have just created a total piece of shit, that is the suckiest thing I've ever seen. Just kidding, it's great, especially the background. The preloader is a bit weird.. What will the game be like?

Basically you will be a marble dodging all the otherones making sure you dont get knocked off the screen. With powerups making you bigger, smaller faster etc.
(Notice how the smaller ones get heavily knocked when they're hit by the big ones and how the big ones are harder to move)

Have you ever played gish? Well it has a sumo mode so basically it will be where you have to try and push each other into big marble which make them get hit off the screen or get power ups and go big and blast into them...

Yeah I actually had a thought about that, but then, I started making the game for Fuzz in the first place, and it's not like the masses would appreciate black and white as much as random eyecandy and stuff.
