I've been at it for 6 and a half years. I've been with Propellerheads ever since Reason 1.0.
Now I use Ableton LIve 6 and Reason 3.0. It does the job.

in 3 days it will be 2 years since I've been uploading songs on newgrounds. Before that though, I composed shitload of midi tracks using anvil studio. That was a lot of fun! I think I did that for about 2 years also.
I use Cubase SX, Acoustica Beatcraft and a Line 6 Guitar Port, but lately I've been playing with my Tascam Digital 8 Track and my Boss Micro BR digital 4 track with built in drum loops. Got myself an awesome microphone too, so hopefully I'll get some recordings of what my amp sounds like. That will blow your fucking windows out! Line 6 Flextone 3 with dual Celestion speakers. Kills old women, easy as fuck.

New to the forum, so hi.. anyway, I've been composing (primarily on the PC) for about 4 years now. I started out with E-jay, which is what originally peaked my interest, after that moved onto Acid and a couple others I can't remember.. :P I'm currently using a program made by a friend of mine.

I've been composing for about 6 minutes.
Naaah - it's actually been much longer than that but it's been off again on again for a while so I'm not sure how to answer really... I've been screwing around muscially since I was just a kid.
But if you listen to anything that I've posted then you'll swear it's only been about 6 minutes.

Hmmmm....5-6 years? I've created over a thousand songs, but I only submit about 3% of them. I don't make music every week, because I don't have much time and I have to be in the right mood/state of mind to make something.

holy god damn for shizzle! i wish i had time to do that... what with schooling and laziness and girlfriend plus the small amount of social life i have besides her i've little time for music.
so sad...
anyways about all eternity... and nobody cares i keep changing styles so nobody listens for that long. lets see, around age 9 or ten i started composing little classical ditties and eventually a couple string quartets, then i found garageband and started mixing samples with beats and basslines i'd created, and now i'm in logic making boring repetitive techno. so about 6 years of very very slow lazy composing. i mean very slow. and very lazy.

I've been composing for a year last month (yay me)... I took a short lil' 'Hiatus' after I had given up on my original account (Mozart-101). After continuous conversations with MaestroSorrow, I decided I would come back and give 'er another shot...
I use the TERRIBLE Finale PrintMusic, 'xause I'm too cheap to get the REAL Finale... ='(

I have been improvising on the piano for...wow...years....about 10 of them. Although improvising (classical) music requires the same skill set as composing, I've only been doing actual compositions for about 6 years....I'm pretty sure that makes me one of the more experienced composers on this site, huh? lol

It's been a little over 3 years.
I started out with some cheesy program called Melody Assistant for a month, then moved on to FL Studio for most of the time, then switched to Reason. I currently rewire FL Studio 7 and Reason 3.0 together, and I plan to buy a MIDI keyboard soon.

A lot of people have been telling me that they rewire Reason to FL Studio......perhaps i should start looking in to that. lol
So far ive use only FL Studio *and Kinetik once...but that was a cheesey cakewalk program that was really a pain in the ass to use..i mixed the final product in FL*
