Simple answer:
There are people in this world who have it in for authority figures. Due to their own self-disgust and possibly a decreased size in their penises, they feel the need to bash on any person in power, no matter how well said person does his or her job.
Wade is hated sometimes because he bans people. End of story. People who ban other people get hated, especially if they ban teenagers, who are notoriously rebellious and stupid. :P

Actually, I just really have qualms about his conservative outlook, and rampart nationalism.
But as a NG Admin, he's actually pretty good. Because websites are not democracies.
Another reason:
Hating a popular guy makes you look bad, and that's good. Any teenager will tell you that. ;) Mainstream = ghey, and obscure = hawt. Since Wade makes funny posts and is pretty well-liked, it's not popular to like him. =3

Bah, he's the guy who has to maintain the NG rules and deal with those who try to bypass them. No matter who the guy would be, he will obviously be "hated" by a lot of people.
There are fuckers everywhere ... and the biggest your website is, the more there are. Wade just loves to flame their asses ... which doesn't get him much more popularity with 'em.
Otherwise he's a cool guy, as long as you don't do stupid stuff you should think the same ...

Also, anyone with half a brain won't hate mainstream for it being mainstream per ce, and like obscure stuff because it's obscure, that's just being a poser.
Not everyone has the same sense of humour as Wade, and thus they don't like his jokes, it's not advanced sociology, really.

Actually, the contradiction was semi-intentional, lol. I worded it like I did, because that's the kind of mentality I see a lot nowadays. :( People don't want to like someone or something because it's "mainstream" and so many others like it. The majority likes it, but the ones who stand out the most are the one who cry out against it because it's mainstream.
We have a lot of those whiners here at Newgrounds. :P I was generalizing. Of course not everyone here is so brainless. But at least saying that they are sparks some fun conversation. ^-^

I don't see a reason to hate Wade.

Point taken. I apologize. I never meant to insult everybody. I guess I was kind of banking on the hope that most people would realize it was just a jab at the ironic nonsense you see from a certain type of complainer. :/ I didn't intend for everyone to think I meant all the members were like that. I can see that I worded it badly, and I didn't convey my thoughts in an intelligent manner. ;)
