What different languages you learn?

I know about two:

1. English- I was born like this and my parents obviously taught me this, I can mostly say everything in english although I really wished I learned my own language (Which is my Filipino language)

2. Tagalo (Filipino)(or something like that)- I know many words and I can understand what they are saying to me in this language, but it will be a challenge to learn since I always make mistakes on what I am saying to them. Currently, I have this dictionary which has all the words for me to learn this language, oh joy.

1. Bad English. Sorry, but I'm an American, and as such, my English sucks. Ask any European, Canadian, or Mexican, lol.

2. Bad Spanish. I'm currently in College to get a second degree, this one in linguistics with Spanish as my language of choice. =3 Olé, and all that jazz.

3. Bad Japanese. I've been learning it for years. I hope to take formal teaching in it after I finish with my spanish degree, but for now, I'm content to continue my studies on my own. It's harder when I'm learning Spanish at the same time, though, lol.

English is my first language, with Greek meaning to be my second. But I dropped out of Greek school absolutely ages ago cos my teacher was useless, and I can't construct a single sentence of Greek.
I started learning French in Year 4 in my old school, but I dropped in for my GCSE. I started learning German in Year 7, and did that for my language in GCSE cos it was far easier than French.

So I can only really speak in English, German, and a bit of French (and Pig Latin as well).

German, Dutch, English, French.

Not impressed, well eventually I would like to learn eight languages.

Not joking.

I'm sure you can do it. ;) You've already breached the toughest hurdle - the third one. They say once you've learned at least three languages, learning others become a snap. Ganbatte yo!

I'm fluent in French, and I also tried learning Japanese and Portugese.

Both were totally useless, and I was still in a French school while taking classes for them. Learning three different languages at the same time was a bad move.

I'm extremely fluent in English and Arabic, and I speak some French.

Dutch: got raised with it
English: nearly got raised by TV...
French: seulement un petit peu
Latin: Arma virumque cano, Troiae qui primus ab oris... (first verse of the Aenid)
Ancient Greek: I would love to be able to type Greek in the NGBBS, but since it's impssible, here's the transcription:
Mènin aeide ,thea, Pèlèïadeô Achillèos
oulomenèn, hè muri' Achaiois alge ethèke,
pollas d'iphtimous psuchas Aïdi proïapsen
hèrôôn, autous de helôriateuche kunessin
oiônoisi te daita (Dios d'eteleieto boulè),
ex hou dè ta prôta diastètèn erisante
Atreîdès te anax andrôn kai dios Achilleus

How fluent? I won't consider myself fluent, because I can't pronounce for my life, but I have most of the essential vocabulary and all of the important grammar.

Six years worth of grammar education, and I've been commended by many teachers for "flawless" pronounciation.

I personally find myself better at writing it than speaking it.

Not sure if I can see myself studying Japanese in future, but I will do my best regarding the languages that I have in mind.

Thank you ;-)

Aside from English, I can understand Spanish and Italian. I can't form sentences but I can get my point across in a conversation.

I know enough Russian to be able to tell the majority of the Russians in Northeast Philly that I hate them.

That's how I think it's pronounced.
Apparently, "ma" indicates a yes/no question.

I dunno. :P I remember "Nihao" from Ranma, and when I said it to the owner of a chinese restaurant, he told me it's supposed to be "Nihao ma," lol.

I'm just parroting here. :)
