I'd say the shorter it is the better. Less chance of boring the audience. You dont really need to show him swimming for 10 seconds, take out the the boot or the can...and how the hell does he shoot to the bottom of the lake?
Also i dont really like the fisherman guy with his spear gun. Why not just have a gory scene of the guy getting fucked up by the sea snake?
There's actually so much stuff you can do to improve this part. Add some zooms or camera movement, and try to tell the story with more suspense or excitement....or something!

also..give the backgrounds more realism. make it more believable that he's under water. If u use gradients right, and add some shading things can look lot better. Here's sorta what i mean..i drew this just then...

:and the snake looks a bit weird but fuck it :P

I was self taught. I think animation skills definately come with practise and a passion for it. Ive been animating in flash for like 2 years...on and off.

WTF... I guess some people are totally incapable of graphism. Oh, well. I'll just keep practicing.

Very nice man. Great animation! All id say to improve it would be more detailed backgrounds...add some shading or gradients.

Sorry for my abscence. I was busy working on the Ultimate Sprite Fight Collab. At least there, no one cares what my graphics are like.

Now, I've realised I'm the worst graphics artist there is known to humanity when it comes to drawing it on the computer. I've even tried to do my own sprite, It wasn't that good. So I guess there's only two ways for my graphics to be good;

A) My graphics should be made by someone else;

B) I'll just have to take my time for every single graphic in the movie.

I'll go with B) for now.

Thats because you dont have to draw them. Sprites are unoriginal, unsatisfying and for lazy or shit artists. sorry.
