And yes it does take some amount of intelligence and charisma to be the leader of a country. Im not comparing him to me, im cmparing him to other world leaders. Sadly, theres more similarities than appreciated between bush and the average man.

Actually, his whole family is sneaky.

For example, while Bush Sr. was head of the CIA during his reign, he supported the exact terrorists that later became the Taliban (with millions of dollars and weapons) so that they would fight the Zuraki Government in Afghanistan for the US. Without this support, they would not have had the finances to attack the US years later on 9/11. Yet no one has said this on TV. The only man who tried to (reported in the latest edition of Harpers Magazine), named Jeremy Glick, whose father died in 9/11, was kicked off the show, "The O'Reilly Factor" by mister O'Reilly himself, and it was never aired because it was "bad publicity."

In addition, the Bush family and the Bin Laden family were actually financial partners for years in the Caryle Group (which funds war products, weapons, and other materials used in war time). This group is actually how Bush made his very first millian. In fact, Bush got into the Caryle Group when he met Salem Bin Laden, Osama's big brother, while they were both pilots in Texas. Now, this is not such a big deal since the Bin Laden family is actually pretty decent (they disowned Osama long before he aided the attack on 9/11). However, here's the problem. When the US was about to go to war after 9/11, the Bin Laden family pulled out of the Caryle Group to avoid critizism for making millions of dollars off a war that their son was the partial cause of. The Bush family didn't, even though Bush Sr. was also a partial cause to 9/11 by earlier supporting the terrorists with the funding for the attack. The Bush family stayed in the Caryle Group and went to war, padding their bank accound further.

In an even more alarming issue. Members of the FBI begam complaining that right after 9/11 Bush put a temporary halt to the FBI investigation surrounding the attacks. If he didn't do this, Osama may have been caught. But why did Bush do this? Well, as it turns out, before the Taliban attacked America, the Bush administration was trying to do some deals with them. Basically, the deals involved "convincing" the Taliban to allow an oil pipeline to be laid accross their country that would reach into Central East Asia. Here's the importance surrounding that. You see, Russia owns the entire Central East Asian oil trade, and it's expensive for an oil-hungry country like the US to have to purchase this oil from Russia. So, in a sort of "loophole," the Bush administration decided to make their own pipeline running from Central East Asia. This way, they could get the oil and wouldn't have to purchase it from Russia. However, it would involve going accross Afghan territory. So, Bush was trying to make some deals with the Taliban for the oil pipeline plans. After 9/11, Bush tried to halt the FBI invenstigations to "finish up" these bargains. Unfortunatelly, these bargains fell through. Basically, this was because instead of truly bargaining with the Taliban for oil trade, they basically threatened them for oil trade. Basically, the Bush administration threatened that if they didn't get the pipeline, then they would bomb Afghanistan. In fact, if the Taliban had agreed for the oil pipeline, we may not have gone to war with them at all. So much for the, "war on terrorism" image and the "we will not negotiate with terrorists" statement.

And, this is also one of the reason's France is against us.

It was information I've gathered on US-Iraqi relations. Bush is included in there, because, naturally, he's a part of them. But most of the information covers the time spans way before Bush became president and talks about post-war information, as well as argues whether or not we should be fighting this war. ^_^

Bush is shallow and simplistic. He doesn’t sweat the details. He has downplayed his brains in an attempt to connect with people on a gut level. He has made a number of stunningly bizarre statements without being called to account. "Soft bigotry of low expectations" That's one of Bush's favorite catch-phrases. He uses it to explain why some poor kids do poorly in public schools. In his case, however, it seems to be working pretty well. How could he get away with saying "I believe in people, not government." Really? That kind of statement should not be allowed to pass, especially when made by a guy who keeps running for government office. Bush calls insurance "a Washington term" -- which perhaps explains why so many children in Texas don't have any. When addressing countries, it's near impossible not to fumble words. You need not only to speak clearly (whoops) but also choose the words carefully. Bush may having been trying to choose words that were easily translating into the said languages.

as for religion in school, i see no problem with a student being able to do what hey feel like in this case. im not a bible thumper, and i am actually very against organized religion, but i dont think its right for children to be denied their beliefs in school or for some special interest (atheist) to sue because the class recites the pledge of allegiance. thats pure stupidity, if you feel like you have to shelter your child from those who do not share your beliefs, then the credibility of your beliefs and the ones you are forcing on your children (which is also wrong) is very questionable, dont you think?

First of all, I agree that people need to stop posting topics like this. Add something new to the debate, and quit posting new topics saying "OMG Bush is teh sux0rz!"

That being said, I will answer this loser's challenge, if only to put the question of Bush's intelligence to rest once and for all.

Bush holds degrees from Yale and Harvard, two of our nation's finest educational institutions. One may argue, "But Bush was an average high school student, and got into Yale as a legacy!" Maybe so. But once you're there, you have to do the work just like everyone else. And did I mention that Bush is the first president to hold a master's degree?

The basis for the misconception some people have that Bush is not intelligent seems to be the way he talks. For crying out loud! He's a Texan! Texans have that kind of accent! And he's not an eloquent speaker. Big f'n deal. That doesn't mean a damn thing. It's not a sign of a lack of intelligence. There are lots of intelligent people who aren't great speakers.

Bush has had a good education, and he has lots of intelligent people around him. He is not the moron that some people seem to think he is, and he has help. Give the man a break. Just because you disagree with him does not make him stupid.
