Operation Hypocracy 2003-04-25 21:37:37 Reply

Well the war is over (already I was just having fun) and America retains the same question, was this such a good idea? Both sides have a good argument, okay i had to say that. Both sides really are saying alot of b.s. so i'll state what I know. What was bad about the war? Well we pissed of our allies because we did not find enough evidence before pouncing on Iraq (due process of law, Constitution anyone?). If we waited a little longer, we might have found convincing evidence that Saddam needed to be stopped. If we waited and still found no evidence, I guess then we would have no reason to go to war. Other than our allies, we pissed of ourselves. America was finally united again after 9/11, just to be ripped apart on whether or not to go to war. We turned on our own self and it led up to one fatal event.... the ruination of the Oscars (DAMN YOU MICHAEL MOORE). And our piss-poor economy has gotten even worse with war expenses -ahem- war expensive.

Okay I have to stop with the negative before I get myself so angry that I have to kill someone. Oh lighten up, self, let us think about the good effects of the war. Saddam, the evil dictator, Hussein is dead. What's so good about this you ask? Well, as much as you don't want to believe Bush, he spoke the truth about Hussein. He did kill his own people and ruled over them unjustly (so be grateful for Bush, sheesh, imagine the alternative). Plus there was the little episode in the 90's about oohhh juust trying to
TAKE OVER KUWAIT!!!! This man was the Hitler incarnate. We really could not take chances with him owning weapons of mass destruction. Otherwise it might not have been a war on Iraq, it could have been a war with all of Asia. Also, as proof of their devastation, after the death of Saddam, the people of Iraq rejoiced (or looted if you wanna be cynical about it). They danced in the streets and tore down the statue of Saddam, as well as stole all of his mortal possesions. Now is if that wasn't enough, the Iraqi people did something else. Think back to what our goal was in this war. We wanted to remove Saddam from power and bring democracy to Iraq. So we wanted to rebuild Iraq in our image. Shortly after rejoicing us, they denounced us and cut their heads in a Sheik Muslim act that was banned by Saddam. So not only do they have freedom of religion, they are now showing the certain hypocracy found only in one country, US (get it U.S. hahahah, ok I'll stop with the dumb jokes in the parentheses). So we have now given birth to the new Iraq, and they are already showing our traits. Awwww they grow up so fast.

No. No it wasn't.

What was bad about the war? Well we pissed of our allies because we did not find enough evidence before pouncing on Iraq (due process of law, Constitution anyone?). If we waited a little longer, we might have found convincing evidence that Saddam needed to be stopped.

It's not like George to wait on things when his trigger finger is'a'itchin.

If we waited and still found no evidence, I guess then we would have no reason to go to war.

Oh, having no reason has never stopped us before. Think...Vietnam.

the ruination of the Oscars (DAMN YOU MICHAEL MOORE). And our piss-poor economy has gotten even worse with war expenses -ahem- war expensive.

Ruination? What the hell?

Saddam, the evil dictator, Hussein is dead.

The U.S. Government disagrees with you.

What's so good about this you ask? Well, as much as you don't want to believe Bush, he spoke the truth about Hussein. He did kill his own people and ruled over them unjustly (so be grateful for Bush, sheesh, imagine the alternative).

Yeah. So did Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Kim-Jong, and a plethora of other world leader. We've never done anything about them, have we? No. Because they can fight back. It's easy to take over a third world country.

This man was the Hitler incarnate. We really could not take chances with him owning weapons of mass destruction.

Yet we're fine with Korea making and possessing their own. Why won't Kim Jong be heard out?

Also, as proof of their devastation, after the death of Saddam, the people of Iraq rejoiced (or looted if you wanna be cynical about it). They danced in the streets and tore down the statue of Saddam, as well as stole all of his mortal possesions.

Then they liberated the museums, banks, stores, and other people's houses. Oh, yes, and Saddam has not yet been confirmed dead. He's most likely in Syria, as several world governments have so stated.

Think back to what our goal was in this war. We wanted to remove Saddam from power and bring democracy to Iraq.

I thought Bush said to find Weapons of Mass Destruction? Oh, the terms of the war have changed so much to fit the needs of Bushie. Oh well.

So we wanted to rebuild Iraq in our image. Shortly after rejoicing us, they denounced us and cut their heads in a Sheik Muslim act that was banned by Saddam.

Whilst shouting "Die Amerians, Die!" no less.

So we have now given birth to the new Iraq, and they are already showing our traits. Awwww they grow up so fast.

Anarchy, Anti-Americanism, Vandalism, Murder, Self-Mutilation. Wow, so very American.

Than why didn't they kick his ass in the 90's hm?

Can't really understand that logic.

Those people you saw cheering were a minority. Bagdad has millions of inhabitants, and you only saw a few hundred cheering around the statue. It was just a little propaganda Scene of the yanks.

If you really believe that, you're the most naive fucking person i've ever met.

So many people are naive now. They'll just watch the nightly news highlights and believe the entire nation of Iraq is rejoicing that Saddam Hussein is dead. Ignore all of the peasant people in Nasiriyah that were shooting at Americans for barging into their homes and breaking everything in that search for Weapons of Mass Destruction which may be hidden under the 1,200 year old vase.

We kicked his ass out of Kuwait, and should have gone into Iraq then. But the UN chickened out as usual...

Oh, so now the majority of the people of Iraq LIKED Saddam? Maybe only a few hundred were jubilantly dancing in the streets, looting and tearing down statues, but on the whole, it is most likely that the rest of the people, while remaining calm and silent, were still glad to be rid of him. I don't think anyone can say what the majority of the people in Baghdad or the rest of Iraq think.

Now is if that wasn't enough, the Iraqi people did something else. Think back to what our goal was in this war. We wanted to remove Saddam from power and bring democracy to Iraq.

...
Still won't get over the "war for oil" theory, huh? Let me make something clear. Our stated goals for this war were to eliminate a potential threat to world security (namely Saddam and his weapons of mass destruction) and to bring freedom to the Iraqi people. Both objectives acheived. Saddam is out of power (and possibly dead), and someone who is out of power can't possibly use weapons of mass destruction, right? And I do believe we're getting closer to finding the weapons. And the people are using their new-found freedom to do many things, including making religious pilgrimages that were banned before. And of course, some are even protesting our presence (which doesn't bother me at all; once the new government is set up and all of our post-war objectives have been acheived, we will be getting out and letting the Iraqis run their own country). You can argue all you want that the administration's true intentions were different, but you cannot deny that our stated objectives have been acheived.

Short answer. No.

Saddam, the evil dictator, Hussein is dead.

Where the HELL dod you get that from. Are you going to try to claim Osama is dead too?

What's so good about this you ask? Well, as much as you don't want to believe Bush, he spoke the truth about Hussein. He did kill his own people and ruled over them unjustly (so be grateful for Bush, sheesh, imagine the alternative).

Oh I do believe Bush on this point> Saddam was a mad evil dicator that killed his own people. However the biggest killer was the imposed sanctions by the US/UN.

Plus there was the little episode in the 90's about oohhh juust trying to
TAKE OVER KUWAIT!!!!

Oh my god. Shock. Why didnt we dispose him then?

This man was the Hitler incarnate. We really could not take chances with him owning weapons of mass destruction.

I want conclusive proof from you that when Hitler died, his soul was passed into Saddam's body. Prove it. Yes you could take chances with him owning WMD. You just have to make sure he never used them, by PEACE.

Otherwise it might not have been a war on Iraq, it could have been a war with all of Asia.

How?

Also, as proof of their devastation, after the death of Saddam, the people of Iraq rejoiced (or looted if you wanna be cynical about it).

Cynical? The people of Iraq took everything that wasn't nailed to the floor.

They danced in the streets and tore down the statue of Saddam, as well as stole all of his mortal possesions.

They also shot at us. What does that tell you?

Now is if that wasn't enough, the Iraqi people did something else. Think back to what our goal was in this war. We wanted to remove Saddam from power and bring democracy to Iraq. So we wanted to rebuild Iraq in our image.

Well... I dont believe it. But I'll grant you that.

Shortly after rejoicing us, they denounced us and cut their heads in a Sheik Muslim act that was banned by Saddam.

They cut their heads? What are you on?

So not only do they have freedom of religion, they are now showing the certain hypocracy found only in one country, US. So we have now given birth to the new Iraq, and they are already showing our traits. Awwww they grow up so fast.

Brilliant, we've got another USA in the middle East. Its not guns work though, because the Shiite Muslims are going to win the power of government and they support palestine.

Life sucks for Bush.

Funny how the Yanks always blame the UN for their failures.

That's right, so neither do you. But it is kinda weird if you see a few Iraqi's cheer around a statue one day, and then see thousands of Iraqi's protest against the Yanks the other day. Kinda makes you think doesn't it?

:You can argue all you want that the administration's true intentions were different, but you cannot deny that our stated objectives have been acheived.

The stated objective was to disarm someone who had weapons of mass destruction. Did the Yanks find any so far? Nope.

Ok I wrote the post to lighten up the overall mood on the times. Very many of the "facts" I stated were exageratted because I was trying to make this a little more funny than serious. I shall explain the main ones you had problems with.

As for Saddam being the Hitler incarnate, I was mainly noting the similar (but not nearly as horrific) situations in time. Saddam tried to take over Kuwait wheras Hitler tried to take over Europe and eventually the world. I did not think that they Saddam was the literal incarnate of Hitler. I was merely noting the similar mentality.

As for the Saddam being dead mistake, it was merely a lack of information and a misinterpertation of the information giben. I posted this after I had heard about the bombing of the resturaunt that Saddam was most likely in. I now know that his death is still unconfirmed, my apologies.

Also some of you were unsure about what I meant when I said, "Otherwise it might not have been a war on Iraq, it could have been a war with all of Asia." Well this goes back to the Hitler/Saddam comparison. If he has the mentality of taking over other countries and has wmd then he has the will and means of taking over more than just Kuwait. It would be the same situation as WW2 and Hitler where one country had taken over many other countries and would then fight. It would be us vs. Asia.

All other mistakes are merely exagerrations, I believe all the rest of my facts are correct but if there are mistakes that you realize in this post please contact me, I do like to keep tabs with recent events, despite how it may seem. Thanks and my sincere apologies for looking like an idiot.
