try reviewing other people, you'll more than likely get reviews in return

Yeah. I don't care about reviewing. Takes too much time. I only do that on the weekend.

well, it was a suggestion, you don't have to follow it, but it you want more people to hear it, more often than not, the guys here are kind enough to return the favour.
If you want someone to take the time to review yours, out of courtesy you should review theirs in return.
<off topic />
That reminds me, To the guys I've promised reviews to, in response to reviews left by you, I promise you'll get them soon, I swear!

HMMMMM. Spam everyone you know on AIM to get an NG account and 5 your song so it'll stay on the top charts for longer. It's what Housemasta does.

Or you could just write a lot of reviews. But thats already been addressed; the guy doesn't wanna write reviews.
So, you could join other music sights, and promote there. Join forums, put links in your sig, and jump on every opportunity to make for any occasion.

careful, there are more guys here than girls, might be promising that to some dude....
that would be interesting
and yeah, the fair way to do it is by making it so good that so many people want to 5 it that there aren't enough 0 voters to pull it down. or go back and time and make ur song the 1st ever submission (which is how a 7 second loop became a gold track ^^)
of course, some people become unlucky and get 0 voted before becoming truly exposed....but there is an underdog thread going on right now (which is a great thread, in my opinion)

"more guys here than girls" is an understatement, since there are absolutely no girls here.
might be promising that to some dude....
He's well aware of that.

How do I promote?
I ask people hearing my stuff! My class like my music and some classmates want a cd. I also advert my tracks at lots of boards. Also at MSN. And at NEWGROUNDS!

One of the best ways is to make your music into bittorrents or rapidshare links then post the links on major DL sites

I once tried promoting my music in the general forum by posting a lot and hoping someone would take interest and click my sig to check my tracks out, but it didn't work... they didn't care... at all ._.

Yeh, after all, nobody clicks any other sig links than "n00b thread", ".", "don't click" and so on. If they come to your audio page after clicking a such link, they won't give a shit about it, leave and never come back.
