I got it wrong on my grammar homework. So grammar nazis, what's wrong with the sentence?

But if it was a handout that you were supposed to correct, the quote appears the same way you gave it; "Cogito ergo sum" translates to "I think, therefore I am."

Meh, I can't seem to find anything that attempts to correct the grammar of the famous quote. I think altering a quote's original status is wrong anyway, but I won't question your teacher's methods.
