Anyway horribly inane joke aside i would personally go with Night lords because well firstly they're just awesome and secondly it sounds like you would enjoy them alot more as the only real 'con' you gave them was them being hard to paint. But i say you'll never get better at painting unless you try. And it's so rewarding when you take on a hard colour scheme and end up with something that looks like the god emperor himself created it.

Still all about the dark angels over here. Though chaos daemons look like a lot of fun. About to start my new project for the 'd' angels, Veteran devastators, 1 pack of dark angels veterans, 1 pack of devastators, use the veteran bodies, with cloaks and badass helmets and combine with heavy weapons which leave me with enough stuff to make 5 (all be-it slightly blinged up) normal marines which i need to make my army legal again.

Sorry guys for not posting but my computers fucked up and it freezes minutes after start up and i can only go on it properly in safe mode(what im in now). And plus im glad i missed out on all this rowing going on, seroiusly guys clam down. My lizards are going well, one my first game :). But im so annoyed at stopping doing Blood Angels jsut before their new release - which do look awesome.

And on topic - collect night lords not world bearers- cuz word bearers are gay. No but seroiusly Night Lords look awesome and have a cool background, and if your worried about painting them do like i do before i paint a new army - ask someone how has painted something in the same colourscheme as you how they painted it or ask a GW staff member to help you paint a test model or if none of the above work look online for tutorials.

I play tau (obviously) and are working on an IG army (steel legion to be specific)

I'd like to play a salamanders army because I love their fluff, but I feel there's enough power armor running around on the tabletop and I don't want to contribute to that...

If you are. I'd suggest either Elysian or Vostroyan, Forge World are doing some fantastic models for Elysian right now! Pricey, but really nice! And Vostroyan are just bad-ass!

Yah, I don't really have a actually camera camera, but I have a crappy iPod camera, and a even crappier web cam.
Its painted to an OKAY standard, but I think it needs more.

I like the camo, maybe put a wash of some sort of neutral color to kinda "blend" them together...
also add some detail, I'd like those eyes to be a different color ;)

Im glad you like the camo. Sadly i don't have any washes and i am very inexperienced with them. what should i buy?

Well first off add abit more detail, eyes, guns, ensignias. etc. Then get youself some black ink, this will make you guys amour look like amour as oppsed to plastic. When using ink be very gentle, use ALOT of water ratio 3/1 2 parts water to one part ink. TBH i wouldn't bother with washes on standard troops, reserve the awesome painting skills to special characters.

ok ill get some black ink when im a games workshop. Thanks so much. I have painted the eyes and face of the sergent but i don't think is something to celebrate about. right now im working on the purity seals (i think). i will post when all details are finished.

Sorry for not posting but i've still been stalking the thread, i have a really cool chaplin that i'll get photo'd up for you guys (but knowing me probabley won't) and for tips on the marines:
First basecoat them before painting e.g. black spray paint or just chaos black paint undercoat this will give them a better finish, then paint the grey onto it afterwards (using GW codex grey ?) to get the base colour.
Second give it a wash of GW Badab Black in your case to blend it together (don't listen to the others, it takes a relativley short time and gives good results).

I used to use inks a lot, not I go with washes...
if you DO use inks though, just like the guy before water them down, if you use the wash instead no need to worry about watering down, its watered down enough

an ink is stronger...and more potent if you will, it will darken the recesses but it might also darken the rest of the model

a wash will also darken the recesses, which is what you want, and it'll generally keep the rest of the armor at its original tone (it may darken or change the color a little, but just a little, not as much as an ink)

That's pretty bitchin' i like. Also BLOOD ANGELS RE-RELEASED it's been about 11 years but finally a new lease of life for one of the original chapters. We went into GW yesterday to pick up some models to beef my brothers army out but they were sold out of practically everything :0 but we managed to get one of the new baals, mephison, dante and the codex. They are looking pretty bitchin' if i do say so myself.

not quite as bitchin' as taufanatic's Valkyrie though, of course not.
