Also, what do you mean, copy? Cause I never traced that, it was drawn from scratch on GIMP when I still used it (upgraded to SAI)

What I mean by 'copy, copy, copy' is to find pictures and just copy them (not trace), get a picture, put it next to your work, than work on trying to copy it's lines exactly, the more you do this, the more it'll teach you about perspective and drawing in general! Good Luck man!

We usually only post when we've had a battle or bought a new squad and are complaining how the heavy weapons are metal and you spent an hour holding it together then as soon as you let go the metal had stuck to your hand. But now we have artist and more posters i can see this thread going out of control.

i might even have to bust out the artistic skills

Back!

I can't wait for the second part of the space hulk, first was totally right :D

You guys ever heard of http://tempusfugitives.co.uk/
You have to register to see their special rules but they are BEASTLY.
Check the horus heresy packs, they have some interesting rules in there, you have to scroll down for the units tho.

I'd watch where you post that,
If GW get a wiff of it, they will get sued or the site taken down because it tries to copyright all material on the site, meaning games-workshop logos to. (unless GW set it up, which I doubt they did)
Don't take my word on it ;p

talking of sites, there is an up and coming one, called Wargaming TV, it will be a huge hub of all Warhammer stuff, sounds pretty cool.

Orks have been saying that for ages! And suddenly some science douchebags think it's hot new shit, FUCK EM.

In regards to the Blood Angel models.

I have to say, I'm slightly dissapointed with some of those models.
I mean, the character models are fantastic, Especially lemartes. Though this new Astorath bod, looks far more akin to Chaos than the imperium.

I have to say though, the sanguinary guard, look absoulutly wank, I also feel the Death Company don't look anywhere near crazed enough. But otherwise, pretty good.

Now my fellow nerds, I have a very tough decision on my hands.

I'm starting a new Chaos Marines army, but I'm stuck between two choices.

Word Bearers or Night Lords, I need your help to decide.
Here's my list of pros and cons:

Word Bearers:
PROS:
-Devout to Chaos as Grey Knights are to the Emperor (I love this idea)
-Dark Apostles (Chaos Chaplains? Badass)
-I found a great painting tutorial for them by MiniWarGaming.com (I haven't painted for years so this is a huge plus for me, as I want these models to look good)

CONS:
-Kinda boring in a way, 'WE LUV CHAOS OMG' (I'm currently reading Dark Apostle, which I'm not enjoying)
-Colour scheme could be a bit cooler
-I'm just not really feeling it

Night Lords:
PROS:
-Fantastic colour scheme, I love it
-Fear tactics + Stealth = Awesome ideas for model poses
-Legion embroidering is awesome
-Use Chaos as a tool, do not worship it

CONS:
-Huge retarded wings on their helmets
-I have no idea how to do their paint scheme (this is a big minus)

Now as you can see, my main problem is I'm scared of doing the painting wrong (I've ruined far to many models this way) and this video tutorial for the Word Bearers is just great.
Otherwise I'd do Night Lords instantly.

SO HELP ME MAKE A GOD DAMNED DECISION D:
What you reckon guys? What'd be cooler? Does anyone have a good video tutorial for Night Lords colour schemes?

Cheers.

in regards to your chaos conundrum, I say night lords only because word bearers seem really dumb to me....just the name sounds weak..."word bearers?"

night lords have lightning on their armor, shouldn't that count for anything? :D

Pissy over it? D: Please tell me you didn't actually think I was being serious?

Well the lightning in the Night Lords armour is pretty cool and that....BUT I can't really paint very well, or I'm not confident enough yet. Though I don't mind the name Word Bearers, it fits with them. They bear words of their devout religion. (Is it wierd that I'm a complete Athiest, yet find that really cool?)

I think I've decided to go with word bearers, because their colour scheme is easier to do.
