No idea what they are but Tyranids are crap up against Kroot or Terminators.

It pays off to study factions and their forces before making such stupid statements. Other then that, welcome aboard. And NO, this is not a blog.

Greetings,

Please read the collected visions of the Horus Heresy, should you come across them, most certainly worth the money and time needed to read through.

Awww, how cute! The little troll made its first attempt at the big league. Keep it up sport, maybe one day you can contend on the Something Awful forums.

In any case, it would seem that not much has happened since my blissful absentia..

nids rock. I've sent them against Kroot and they've pwned hardcore. The story: brood of eight hormagaunts against a squad of sixteen kroot with a shaper and krootox. Annihilated them like nothing. not one gaunt died.

Heh, I play tyranids as well. They are a pretty fun race with a little bit of everything. I'm almost at 2000 points... just need zoanthropes and a handfull of raveners.
I'm also starting Skaven in fantasy, and have about 4000 points of Epic tyranids to paint yet. :P

Attached is a picture of my army. Please tell me what you think! :)

Also, anyone hear of any changes that would happen to orks? I guess a new codex is planned for January. Plus Apocalypse is right around the corner!

since i can't show you, i'll describe it to you. I have about 28 termagaunts with fleshborers, 8 hormagaunts, 27 genestealers, 3 warriors(one with deathspitter, another with a venom cannon, and another with a barbed strangler), a hive tyrant with bone sword, lash whip, and talons, one biovore, 2 carnifexes, 2 raveners, and a ripper swarm.

i've got some ideas for conversions and im gonna type here, like it or not. One: a heavily-armored carnifex transport. legs are six scything talons. it resembles a turtle. top and bottom would be made of green stuff and would have a tusked head. the top part of the "shell" would open up and forward to let loose gaunts and or rippers. Two: an upright carnifex with chitin covering the torso and arm sockets. two sets of scything talons. its special ability would be called Momentous Charge. On a roll of 7+ on 2D6, it would create an unstoppable momentum. The targeted unit would have to take a morale test. If passed, they would stand their ground but would lose four units for staying in the way of the serrated edges. If failed, the entire unit would flee like a normal assault, but would all die because the carnifex is still chasing after them. TOTAL MASSACRE!!! Opinions PLEASE!

a 20,000 point army must be A) Crazy, B) worth ALOT of money, C) Pocket-emptying, D) All of the above.

Pics and an official army list of this extremely large army would be good idea as I am very skeptical about this. So for now, I'm not believing a word of it at all. Not until proven otherwise.

Oh hi guys I'm back sort of

instead of doing stuff like talking about the NG update I'm going to tell you all about the new Chaos Codex

there is no separate page for wargear

All HQ choices get a 5+ inv save

Chaos Lord and Dæmon prince are seperate entries Lord can have wargear and dæmon prince has some higher stats

Chaos sorcerers get a force weapon
new psychic powers including a chaos version of the veil of time
wind of chaos is sort of same

a dæmon weapon gives +d6 attacks plus either +1S for undivided or + another D6 attacks for khorne instand death for slaanesh wounds on 4+ for nurge and a 24" S4 ap3 assault d6 gun for tzeentch

If you roll a 1 to determine attacks the lord takes a would with no armor saves.

Chaos chosen and termonators are seperate entries.

Chosen can infiltrate and 1 can have a heawy or special weapon and 4 can have a special weapon or power fist, power weapon or lightning claw(s)
basic ones have a bolter AND bolt pistol and CC weapon

Terminatos cost 30 with a power weapon
+ 10 points for the other termonator cc wepons

still only get reaper and Heavy flamer
need to be at 10 to get second ranged heavy weapon

possesed get one random gift instead of you being able to buy it

dreadnoughts are an elites choice and pretty much the same except if you roll fire frenzy the dreadnought will shoot at the closest unit of either side

normal chaos marines cost 15 points and get krak and frag grenades bolter, AND bolt pistol and cc weapon

unit needs to be 10 or more strong to get a heavy weapon

marks of chaos work differently now
for normal marines instead of paying the points cost for a mark you buy a chaos icon which gives the mark to the squad

the bonuses are
chaos undivided in now called chaos glory (worst name ever) and does the same thing
khorne gives +1 attack
nurgle gives +1 toughness
slaanesh gives +1 iniative
tzeentch gives +1 inv save or if the model doesn't have one it gets a 5+inv savethere

Chaos marines can no longer buy special skills

also there are special marked units which are a troops choice
they get the normal bonus for their mark, the fearless special rule plus:

Khorne berzerkers get WS5 and furious charge

thousand suns get a 4+ inv ap 3 bolters, slaow and porposefull (which you anly roll one dice for if there is no tzeentch champion(who is a psyker) or another model with the mark of tzeentch leading them

nurgle plague marines get feel no pain and blight grenades whch are now the same as tau sonic grenades they do NOT get true grit

Noise marines get access to the sonic weaponry
both the doom siren and blast master get higher AP but no other changes

these marines cost between 20 and 25 points each

bikers can only get the +1 attack with the mark of khorne
can get mark of nurgle for toughness 4(6)

rapotrs cost 20 pts each and lose the hit and run rules

chaos spawn cost 40 pts each and have d6 S5 attacks and T5
they do not take up a FO choice but are deployed with fast attack
they are 1-3 models per unit and you can have as many units as you want

havocs are the same but cannot have tank busters :(

obliterators are a heavy support choice have S and T of 4 and a 3+ armor save
can deep strike and choose plasma cannons as their weapon

chaos vehicles cannot have chaos mutation and the god specific upgrades
dæmonic possesion reduces bs by 1 instead of denying the transport ability
hovoc launchers are S5 but only one shot (though they are twin-linked)
all vehicles get smoke launchers and searchlights

predators cost more

chaos marines can now have vindicators

land raiders cost 20pts less and lose the machine spirit substitute

defilers have fleet of foot WS, BS, and I of 3 Dread CC weapons can exchange side guns (not battlecanon) with extra arms for +1 attack each (basically they can have up to 5 attacks)

Dæmons do not take up FO choices
but there is only one basic greater dæmon and one dæmonic pack
(basically axing the god specific dæmons)

greater dæmons are 0-1 get a 4+inv WS 8 A5 T6 4 wounds

they cost 100pts

dæmon packs are basically 13 pt marines with two attacks no shooting or armor but with an 5+ inv save also you can have as many packs as you want regardless of the FO chart

Abaddon kills Snape*

Typhus and Ahriman get married and have three kids*

Kharn and Lucius also get married and have two kids*
