They're planning to tour this summer...
I'm fully aware that they've been saying that for years, but this time there's no recent statments of Page or Plant dening it.
(I found a few on Google from 2003)
This better not be just a bad internet rumor, because I'm excited.
holy shit! wow, is Bonhams son any good? I really must see this...
The SUn said it, The Sun...
Nah I'm just kidding, if it happens, it'll be awesome.

"This sig, is fucking cool."
If it's true, I can only hope they release an album or video/DVD of the preformance.
This too will pass.

I saw him in concert with Foreigner.
He certainly is the offspring of the greatest rock drummer ever.
Yeah, he's amazing.
I see the newspaper that is reporting is The Sun.
I wouldn't hold my breath given the source. :S
Wow, very cool. Listening to 'How the west was won' right now. I really don't like the way the article is worded, 'The three surviving members', what, it's not like he died of old age or that they are even to old, nor i'm sure are they money grabbers: 'hope to pocket £6.4million'.
Oh well, stupid Sun. This is good news.. shall have to tell my dad.

They would be mad not to. It would sell. Is this the year of the band re-unions though, I mean The Police a few days ago, today maybe Led Zep. Who could be next?

Oh, I get it.
Hahahahaashashashashash.
Nobody say it won't happen! It won't if you do! Let's all go to england and surround Robert Plant's house protesting for Led Zeppelin!!! And then will put Zep on the radio and start a fucking MOSH PIT!!!
Long time, no see!
I bump this topic 6 months later with the truth that it looks like it IS happening:

"Led Zeppelin are set to announce their reunion gig this week"
Being only 20 years old, but a huge fan of Zeppelin, I decided to bump this thread to talk about what will either be A) their first short concert (ala Live Aid) since January 1995, or B) their first full show since July 1980.
I know this may end up being the former of the two, but the fact that this is happening is blowing my mind, though I know I won't be able to see the show, considering I live in the US, and not England. I really wanted to re-start this thread to get your own view on this, and also, learn who in lives in the UK that is gonna try to get tickets to this show......

I have heard about it on my local radio station for Rock. I saw their official site page that said 11/13/07, so that probably means that they will start their tour at that time maybe.
Not needed, non needed, no one bled.

Actually, the 11/13/07 is when they re-release their film "The Song Remains The Same" on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, and then release a new 2-CD/1-DVD best of titled "Mothership" highlighting the best of their studio work (on the two CDs), and live work (on the DVD). The rumors that first came out early this year were partly from an old news story and when Page began to remaster "The Song....". This reunion is happening (it seems) to both promote the new releases, and to give a memorial for Ahmet Ertegün, the man who founded (and signed Zeppelin to) Atlantic Records.
Now the PC is at 4:00 PM on Wednesday in Britain, which is 8:00 AM West Coast USA time, 11:00 East Coast USA time, so chances are there will be a lot of news about this all day tomarrow, for when a band has outsold everyone in the world but the Beatles and Elvis, it's gonna be something a lot are going to flip out about, especially with 4+ years of these rumors finally coming true.

Lol @ the guy who bumped this.
It`s pretty much not going to happen.
With the internet, bad rumors spread pretty fast, a Led Zeppelin reunion being one of them.
Just like global warming, and second hand smoke.
Wow, it actually is happening:

£125 for a ticket (sold in ballots), and it's gonna be at the O2 arena (the dome) on 26th November. The server for site where the tickets are being sold (here) has already gone down , cos of the demand.
Good luck, guys.

Kyle, you gotta take that back, now that it is 100% official (not looking so smart for once, eh?).
So November 26th in London. I know it will be $125 Pounds, or $250 in US Dollars, to go to this show, but will anyone here who lives in/near London or will at least be in London at that time try to go to the gig? This is a rare thing, so....

Man, I was 4 minutes behind, lol.
Also, this is going to be a full 2 hour+ show, not a half-hour set, so it looks like it would be worth the money!
Note: I myself am not expecting them to play anywhere near the level they once did, but if they are at least as good as Jones' show at Bonnaroo or Plant's recent solo tours, then it should at least be a good rock performance.
Another note: access to the stairway will be denied.

I'd love to go, but £125 is pretty steep for me.
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

Holy fuck!!
Nice find.
I do, in fact take that back.
I had no knowledge this shit was actually going down.
I'm thrilled, almost, until I remember I have rat's ass chance in Hell of seeing them.

Hahahaha.
Times like this, I wish I lived in London.

Tickets are as rare as the event - there have reportedly been 20 million requests for tickets, when the arena only has capacity for 20,000 people. I'll be surprised if they don't televise it, though.
They are doing the concert in England for the death of some Atlantic records guy. If it's a sucess(and it will be) then they will go on a WORLD TOUR. I wish I could remember where my source came from, but I remember reading it. They would probably play major U.S. cities and most of the England stadiums.
