FL is an easy program to use with an extremely comfortable interface. But, even so, like every other program it takes time to learn how to use every aspect of it so you can use it to its full abilities. I think that my most impressive piece made with only FL default samples and synths that I made myself only using 3Xosc and other FL native VSTs is Worn Away Childhood.

Fruity Loops is freakin amazing.
Seriously.
It's user-friendly interface is good for beginners and pros alike, coming pre-loaded with a large sample bank, a ton of effects, and a good-sized pile of instruments, whilst catering to experienced musicians with slicers, granulizers, a vocoder, and VST and soundfont support (that's a big one).
VST sites:
Dream Vortex Studios
Krakli Software
Glitch
Songs... I'm not sure which...
Lost Dreams
Memories Zelda
Zanarkand
Sorry there are so many, pick which one you like best...
I'm still developing my sound.

Fruity loops to me is a program of infinite uses. the thing i love about FL is that what ever you can think of you can basically make on it. like other programs you may be restricted to just dragging and dropping sounds where ever you need them without really changing the sound it self. Fl has an amazing list of sounds and effects that can be used to make any genre of music and to be creative in every way possible. i guess all in all the one thing i love about FL is that it allows me to do the one thing i love and thats all it needs to do.
the track i picked is [Mystic Light EXT] -ZERO- it kinda feels llike my anthem or something and its my 2nd original track.

Fruityloops is amazing because of it's versatility. You can use it for anything. I use FL Studio 6 XXL with Absinthe, Dimension Pro, and Toxic III... It's amazing. I mean, mixing in surround sound? That's insanity. Even the standard sound bank isn't too shabby. It can handle anything... techno, classical, rock, hip-hop. Tis crazy.
Dj-Padman1
Fruity Loops has many advantages over the competition. The most obvious is the sheer ease of use of the program. The functional system of being able to make patterns quickly and easily in the step sequencer and then transport them into the playlist to make an arrangement is most welcome. Modern dance music is basically loop based so Fruityloops provides an interface where that can be done efficiently. Loop-based can often mean mechanical and dry, but thanks to easily assignable automation and the flexible effects included there's plenty of scope for creativity and originality. There's a lot of labour saving and cool features like the chord functions in the piano roll that can bring sophistication into a song even though the user doesnt have 8 years of keyboard experience.
I basically use FL in conjunction with Ableton Live via Rewire. Much of the drums and rhythmic parts come from FL, as well as many leads and basslines. It also has a generous palette of sound fx that I cant get anywhere else. Its easy to sculpt fx with something like Sytrus that offers a lot of tweakability. Some of the newer instruments look pretty outstanding too and have some pretty cutting edge sounds in every department.
One of my songs thats made entirely within FL is 'Acid Eyesore', an edgy techno track. Its number 26 in my list of tracks, subject to change at any time!
A site I recommend for plugins is www.kvraudio.com and also www.krakli.co.uk has some outrageous and wonderful devices
Thanks to everyone who participated, and I look forward to making the final announcement, of my project real soon.
I'll keep you all informed, of the progress.
Cheers

Yeah Fruity Loops . . . seems cool, but I'll stick to Cakewalk Kinetic 2, thanks.
I tried FL, but after being on Cakewalk for over a year its just complicated to me lol :\

Fair enough, it's a really nice program once you start getting used to it, but, whatever, as long you're making music that's the main thing

nah, not quite that long, I can't give an accurate timescale, probably a week (R/L Time restrictions dependent) which is tieing in with my earlier estimate.
So not all that much longer

Guess i'll join the list...Don't know if you've heard my stuff or not. I'd recommend the VST called Rogue for making VST's. No one really knows about that one to much. It has a crappy interface, but that thing is pretty powerful.

Sorry man, you're too late. I was looking for 20 artists for this, the deadline was lastnight.
I now have my 20 and have no more room for anymore artists.
