now im not trying to make fun of the way you blokes talk but i have a quick question .
i was watching a nature show with a British women
they were talking about turtles and using its more common name tortoise
but when she pronounced it , she said it like Ter-toyse.
i was like wtf?
do people from Britain really pronounce tortoise ter-toyse?

Don't know some people have a more "strong" accent than others. Depends what part of England they are from.
