its kinda weird, my parents didnt really talk about politics, when i was a kid...

although i was quite a fan of history... then during the 2000 election i developed a real enjoyment of politics... and looked up the issues, but never took a side on either one... since i see both sides to the issues...

basically allowing me to argue anyone anytime...

sadly, my political views mainly come from US history from beginning to 1850. everything after that was partisan as all hell, and it made me sick to think of the dirty ways politicians were doing business. the government that governs best governs least. I forgot who said that, but it goes right along with the other engineering principle simple design works fine. the more complex a government is, the more things that can go wrong with it. most importantly is a belief in natural balance and flux, the belief that change is natural and should be embraced, instead of believing that laws can control reality. At best laws can only control people, but the juggernaut of world change is unstoppable.

example 1 "the world climate is becoming warmer"
reaction one (legalistic)- lets pass laws to reduce activities that create and store heat
reaction two (naturalistic)- so? natural history shows that global climate is in a constant state of flux.

example 2 "people really like doing drugs, to the exclusion of work"
reaction one (legalistic) lets make drugs illegal
reaction two (naturalistic) so? people have always done drugs to the exclusion of work, some eras more than others

I don't really have any specific source of what has shaped my political views other than my parents, but that is a given. Your parents or guardians shape your beliefs no matter what.
But I don't follow every line they do, maybe it's my own maturity or stupidity , or perhaps it is how wise they are... or their own stupidity.

My beliefs and worldview have really been influenced the most by...

The 20th century.

I’d have to say various political figures that have literally died trying to change the ways of the iron fist we call out government. I have also admired the freedom of thinking that is embraced in anarchism but I don’t think everything about it is right. I just think people need to realize that out government was created by the people for the people. It is depressing to see how people around the country subside to all the decisions the government makes for us. It is like people want to be controlled or fear that they can’t live without authority. The world has made us greedy and hateful and that is why we think we need protection against it all….every type of government is wrong if the people who are governed can’t be heard.

My political views come mainly from my "moral" views...or values. And my values are an amalgamtion of people in my life. To rephrase. I shaped my political views, but with influence from other people.

when i was younger i used to think weed was bad because society told me so, then when my "eyes were opened" so to speak, i examined the history of weed and other drugs, and noticed Americas fondness to outlaw whatever can't be profited from (like alcohol was in prohibition days) but now America has everyone so busy making "legal" (perscription) drugs for the world market and laughing as their genius. Slowly (over more than a decade) i examined Americas dominance in other areas, such as software and franchise marketing ("pirates and patents") and it's left me feeling very anachistic towards formal "coalition of the willing" society which must bow down to this overwelming need for currency transations and saturated advertising for shit we don't even need.

vis-a-vis, i'm here spouting opposite views to an agenda that less than half the readers will support.

I think, therefore i examine, thereby i'm a minority outsider.

They kind of evolved on their own I guess. No one in my family is very political.

Earlier in my life, it was my dad. He was far right. Later, I formed my own political opinions and drifted to center in the process. By reading a variety of literature, I became influenced by progressives. Now I am just right of center.

Thoreau actually quoted that. It was Confucius originally. (Chinese didn't get much credit in those days.)
Gotta say I kind of formed mine off of a religious base, in Taoism, Druidism and Cherokee beliefs. Basically if you make sense I'll probably support you.

Thats probably how most people work. Then again that is just going with what he thinks makes sense. Its all part of what he believes in and what he thinks is right. Same as almost everyone.

True but most of my views tend to fall along the lines of more education, less midless death laws so I'd say I'm kind of mainstream when it comes to that.

I just hate party voters.
