I've found Americans to be the most ignorant of the places they are visiting but for the most part are harmless and generally likeable. Needless to say, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan isn't exactly a prime tourist destiination. Of the 2 Germans I know, both were stand up guys. As far as the Japanese girls I've met are concerned, they've been rude, stuck up bitches who wouldn't even take the time to say good morning. Of the African immigrants I know, they're the kind of people who you could go have a beer with. Aussies kick serious ass and have some of the best stories. The rudest people I've ever met are Indians. (that's Native Americans to the politically correct) They are the kind of people who never work and live on handouts their entire life.

Obviously Canada *insert sarcasim here* (go canada)
This thread is not fair to anyone in any country because you are associating one/group of person/s attitude to an entire country. then they do not like you, and visa versa and it just goes back and fourth its sterotypical thinking that we already have to much of in this world. opinions are like a$$holes everybody has one and they are viewed person to person but they should not be country to country. Everything has its good and bad points but its not at all fair to link the bad with a entire country.
am I right?

I agree, but most of them are like that. I am an American, but I don't say do this to another person acting like the police.
Britain: Rude, pass judgement before they know a person, historically have names for people who live in nearly EVERY other country...
Maybe that is why they lost the Revolutionary war and asked America for help in World War 2.
France: Also rude, VERY smug, do nothing but sit back and expect other countries to do thier dirty work.
Don't stereotype, some are good. But most are smug.
China: Anything western is evil in principle, yet they can't stop buying from the west.
Uh, China is communist. But they need America so we can help their economy.
Pakistan, Afganistan: Decapitating people who aren't of the same decent, considers all non-muslims and even different muslims infidels(sp?)
WTF? You spelled infidels right. But the part about considering all non/different muslims infidels is stereotypical. Most Muslims I know are peaceful. My mother's friend is a Muslim but he is peaceful and rich. Not all of them go around and bombing something. Remember, the Muslims that considers non-Muslims or different Muslims infidels are fundamentalists(extremists/terrorists).
Russia: Massive superiority complexes
What?
Canada: All i can say is, look in any thread that attempts to bolster America.
I think it is most likely because Canada acts like the smug brother of the USA.
Feel Free to add any.
Germany: They are always drunk, and I still remember the day that they were Nazi's(even though I am 15).
These are not a country.
Newgrounds: Flaming, a lot of things(I got nothing against NG and I still think NG is good).
Ebaumsworld: They like stealing, Their members are retards, even worse than NG(the members that are shitty)

Being British myself it pains me to say it, but as a country we are dreadful. We readily insult anyone and everyone, normally with very little or no basis what so ever. Nearly everyone I know will readily insult the French, the Americans etc. just because its the done thing. There are, however, rude people in every country. There are plenty of Americans, and just looking through this boards will prove that, who will insult anyone over anything. Normally this involves calling them a fucking faggot, which gets really boring and tedious. And then any British person around will retaliate, insulting them more. I've done it before, I'm ashamed to admit, as have most people I'm sure.
And of course, Europeans are amazingly smug, and while they may not directly insult you, they do a damn good job conveying their attitude that they are so much better than you.
So, the Brits are as a whole the worst, in my opinion, we a select group of Americans and European arrogance following shortly behind.

more like 'communist workers' lol, who went through a couple hundred year hardship, put in reservations with no economical benefits other than money from renting and whatever you got. after which a couple of generations of residential school to make you feel worthless.
that was only 2 generations or so ago and now that compensation and whatever came to the people that were treated like shit all their youth.
they had kids and they are sharing that welfare dependant mentality
what has it been 20-30 years since all that happened, just give it more time to ween off
rofl but its never going happen with these stereotypes

Well, if you want to look at possible most polite cities worldwide, Readers Digest attempted their own study, starting on this page and came to this rather shocking conclusion:
New York USA 80%
Zurich Switzerland 77
Toronto Canada 70
Berlin Germany 68
São Paulo Brazil 68
Zagreb Croatia 68
Auckland New Zealand 67
Warsaw Poland 67
Mexico City Mexico 65
Stockholm Sweden 63
Budapest Hungary 60
Madrid Spain 60
Prague Czech Republic 60
Vienna Austria 60
Buenos Aires Argentina 57
Johannesburg South Africa 57
Lisbon Portugal 57
London United Kingdom 57
Paris France 57
Amsterdam Netherlands 52
Helsinki Finland 48
Manila Philippines 48
Milan Italy 47
Sydney Australia 47
Bangkok Thailand 45
Hong Kong 45
Ljubljana Slovenia 45
Jakarta Indonesia 43
Taipei Taiwan 43
Moscow Russia 42
Singapore 42
Seoul South Korea 40
Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 37
Bucharest Romania 35
Mumbai India 32
The numbers reflect the number of people who passed the magazine's polite test.... and OMG, it looks like the Americans actually won. It could be biased, especially in the Asian countries, but for the Western countries, that just doesn't seem that great of an excuse to consider it biased.

Holding open a door? Picking up dropped papers? How can you use these to judge the entire world?
Why don't we ding them on their pronunciation of Thank you in English, based upon the Californian "dry" way of speaking.
I know for sure, that it actually considered impolite in many countries to help people when they've made simple mistakes. You're not helping them out, but letting them know you saw their mistake. Also, the Western European Chivalrous, holding of the door open for people is not part of Asian cultures. Yes, I would have to say this report is quite biased, and very insulting if you ask me. Not to the other countries, but to portray Americans in the way they do. This report dings the rest of the world for not having the American politeness. Therefore this report tells the rest of the world, Americans are so dumb as to not just think the rest of the world has the same culture, but to EXPECT the rest of the world to have the same culture.

I'm going to make a judgment, and forgive me if it's unfair, but I doubt that America has deviated so much from European culture that an act of holding open a door or helping someone pick up some dropped papers is considered not only impolite, but offensive to do in most European countries. I can see how the test is unfair in Asian countries, and I said this. But I don't see the same thing for European countries, especially since America has taken so much heritage from this part of the world.

Once America gained independance from the UK, did you immediately free the slaves? Hmm? Didnt think so.
Movie with the most uses of profanity - Jerry Springer the opera. Beating the previous record held by South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut - also an American production.
Where did I use the word hicks?

Parisians are always stressed out because the quality of life there is quite low... A bit like London. The sky is often grey (especially in winter), the road traffic is appalling in some places, people there are consumed by their ambitions and have no sympathy for others.

have you seen people from buenos aires???
you could take them to the most expensive restaurant, which received gold medals from a whole bunch of contests, take them out for a city tour in a limousine.
then, at the end of the day, you ask
"oque tu piensas sobre mi cuidad" (what do you think of my city)
and theyll say (no matter how good the city realy is, it could be crapy or one of the coolest places)
"es bueno, pero no es buenos aires" (its good, but its nothing compared to buenos aires)

Yes i am Chinese. And those caucasians think that its their own country to do so.
See! I knew it! Now I'm not caucasin, but open your eyes fool. It was the British (caucasians) that came to Singapore first, Sir Stanford Raffles and founded that country. They grew a city out of a swamp land.
Face it dude. Singapore would be a barren swampland without caucasians.
Then the Indians came (some with the british) and did all the dirty work. Without them who would have built your HDB's (Housing Developement Boards) and it wasnt till maybe half a century later that the Malay's and Chinese trickled in from up north and the Chinese in particular muscled in on the economy and pretty much took everything from the Indians.
Yes, I will pay that Lee Kuan Yew did a lot as far as economic development goes, but that was after the nation had already been established by whites and indians.
Singapore has no native people. Singapore is as much the caucasians country as it is any other races country. So if you are trying to label some sort of misguided, chinese, ownership or locality over Singapore, you can ram it up your ass.
Just because the majority of people that live in Singapore are Chinese, doesn't mean the country belongs to them.
and when i went to NYC, the afro-americans and the white people dont?
They were probably looking at you because your fly was open. Furthermore. NY is a moral sesspool.
So don't think that by comparing your home country to one of the dirties cities on the planet, you are somehow levitating yourself into angelhood.
And the men are extremely sleazy with staring at teenage girls. And rest of the people in other countries dont?
Very uncultured and no sense of chivalry.
No! They don't! Take a look around! Have you even seen much of the west? Europe? Canada? Australia?
Women are respected in these continents/countries. In Singapore most guys won't even hold their girlfriends hand, because they are afraid of being stared at. Furthermore, any show of affection in public is given the third degree and for the most part, frowned upon.
Fuck that!
Singapore is a terrible country full of rude, disrespectful people. I don't care what race they are, white, asian, indian. They're bastards. I would fully recomend you don't go there, no matter who are or where you are from.
And any country that still has the death penalty and forced conscription obviously still has a long way to come, in maturity and responsibility.
