you can level up to 9 in 10 minutes anyways. that's not the hard part.
The 'slog' part is getting to the good spells and NOT fucking up your skill tree with stupid decisions, and actually planning ahead so you dont fuck it up.

Yeah, you can gte a lvl 70 in about 2-3 days. (1 if you're determined.)
I used to play it but I stoped and all my characters expired.

Eh, all of D2 is hacked to shit and back. Be prepared to get your items jacked, spend hours trading crap for crap, and don't forget all the begging... Got I hate the begging.

On Open Bnet I usually spend my time dropping hacked charms that completely corrupt other players that join my games and beg for free stuff. Its horrible.

D3 is on the way though, keep patient!!

I played closed for a good long while, got a pretty decent character, then to get certain items you have to drop trade. I got "kicked" by a hacker twice, so I stopped doing that. Then my items on my character slowly started to disappear (more hacking), then newer hacks found their way onto the servers, making it almost impossibly to play for anyone. So no, I don't fail, Blizzard fails at securing its systems.

Hey, I don't go around seeking out beggers, they're like freaking rats. They'll come into any game spamming GIVE ME FREE HAX HAX ME PLZ GOT NN HAQS, etc so I give them what they deserve if they bug me. Besides if they were bothered to do anything for themselves they'd get an editor like the rest of us and just delete the charm, ergo making anyone with half a brain imune to the tricks.

Sure, I like D2, but its a game that just looses its luster pretty quick. I've played since 2001 and got sick of it all.

Played through single player with every one of the character types
Played closed
Got jacked on drop trades, dupes items that disappear, etc.
Then I played open
Made a legit character and saved all my best legit items
The "legit" duelers were just disguised hackers
So I make some good hacked gear and rushed people through the game
Made corruption charms when the beggers started to get to me
I downloaded a drop mod
I downloaded a mod to let you play the Pandemonium quest
Made a PI hacked character

I've done it all and am done with it. Its fun for only so long, I'm afraid.

I remember playing D2:LOD not too long ago, and was amazed at how it stood the test of time. An excellent game. Unfortunately, the market is still shit, as the SoJ is gone, items are duped to hell, etc.

lol my 94 hardcore druid died a couple years ago.. uninstalled the game and havent played it since that happened.
