Yeah, I don't agree with any of that.
You're complaining about bass? Have you ever been to a live show? Bass thump is what makes electronic music BETTER than any other genre live. Period.
I don't see anything wrong with fading either... why are you so angry, lol
So you don't like repedition... Underworld is one of the best electronic bands there is and most of their songs are based on a single loop.
Meaningless lyrics make electronic music more fun than other genres. Again, I'll make my example Underworld.
No FX... so you don't want all the FX huh? Why don't you listen to another genre then? Folk music doesn't have any FX, you should like that.
Random sounds make a song unique. I use them all the time.
Titles... I don't really understand the complaint there. I think you must've gotten your genitals stuck in your zipper or something to get mad about something like that.
Ever been to a good DJ show? They rock. And DJing is actually not that easy to do.
I completely agree with number 10! lol! :)
I love bass that makes my teeth rattle. I can't wait for the next Prodigy concert...
Nothing wrong with beats that carry throughout a song. Again... check your zipper.
Electronica is not dead. You're just looking in the wrong places, but I'm here to help! (this goes for all of you who are bored with electronic music!) I'll provide a list of different artists to check out. I hope you have heard of most of these, though:
Underworld, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, The Crystal Method, Aphex Twin, Syntax, 120 Days, Texas Faggott, Boards of Canada, BT, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Dylan Rhymes, Evil 9, Hyper, Juno Reactor, Lemon Jelly, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Orbital, The Postal Service, Royksopp, and Minus 8.
That's a pretty good start (although it barely scratches the surface of my archive)
