Well anyway I made a new List it will be like the List Leapers List and just be for ego boosting stats. I will update it when users are added to the Wi/Ht? memberlist

The RCVL began on 10/16/2004 to Since Redcirle's induction on the Wi/Ht? Members list In longest to shortest time. Based on how long it took you to reach the membership status.
Time is in days f.y.i.

So really, all you needed to be content was another list with you in the #1 spot, eh?

Here's an idea for you: make a memberlist stat list like the RCVL, and then you can strive to get to #1 in total pentapoints amongst the Wi/Ht? membership. Of course, Coop will just say it's another list for him to top you in, so... be forewarned if you do elect to take up that listmakery.

People may not remember, but early on in the Regular list, there was a brief Members vs. Regulars vs. Mods triple stat list competition of sorts.

At 7/8/09 02:40 PM, NEVR wrote: Can't believe Alkador had only 3 days between getting voted onto the RCVL and getting voted onto the memberlist. That's... insane. 7 weeks and 2 days seems a fairly long time compared with that. :(

Honestly, I remember something about that, but I didn't remember who it was. It was just due to weird timing with the regular list update and the membership election that month.

IIRC, Alkador probably would have gone straight to the membership had that regular election not taken place beforehand. There's no way there was a 3 day turnaround in terms of getting him on the nominations list for membership, meaning that membership election wasn't using the regulars' list as a candidate pool.

The following users Jewed their way on the Memberlist or gay and were not on the Regular list
A. Coop83
B. Casualty
Weird, what happened there, then?

Once upon a time, the membership wasn't filled solely with people from the regulars' list. Hard to believe, I know. #;-}>

January 2010, man. Good compromise between when you wanna have it and when iscrulz wants to have it.

At 7/8/09 02:40 PM, NEVR wrote: Weird, what happened there, then?
There was a Member election held during the time the Regulars List was dormant and those two were more active in the forum since the previous election to the one in May 2007, where myself, absent, Coop and Casualty became members. The candidates were all active users of that time regardless of being a Wi/Ht? Regular or not. As a result, Coop and Casualty became members without even becoming regulars beforehand.

That may be what specifically happened at that point for those two.... but remember: there wasn't always a regulars' list, and members before the list existed certainly were never regulars.

Also, I can't speak for Recon, but I didn't pull candidates SOLELY from the regulars' list on a few elections I ran. Now, maybe most of the elections I ran were during the regulars' list not existing or being on a hiatus, but... I don't believe that was true 100% of the time.

At 7/10/09 01:09 AM, NEVR wrote: Makes sense, though... and even though they got onto the memberlist in a unique way, they shall forever be excluded from iscrulz's list! Aww.

Good point. I wonder if the main reason iscrulz made the list was so that he'd be #1 again on something since he's been "robbed" of his regular#1 spot... or because he found a way to keep Coop off a list. #;-}>

Also, C'MON PAGE 38. I really don't to be reduced to spamming the crap outta the next... 2 or 3 posts left of this page, BUT I WILL DO IT. Well, I probably won't, but would be nice to see gfox around here again. ;P

Hahaha. Reducing a mod to spammage. 'tis a beautiful thought. #;-}>

...despite the fact that, IIRC, he doesn't really think this thread should be active unless there's an election going on...

Pretty much. You'll note that while I am replying in honour of page 38, I started with iscrulz's bump in July, I ain't going back to February-June's posts on page 37 and replying to all that crap. Remind me if anything important happened in the first 85% of page 37 sometime, though. #;-}>

I love people treating the Regulars list as a requirement for making the Memberlist. People don't realize they are completely separate lists?

The Regulars is simply to show users who are currently active in the Wi/Ht? at the time. However the Memberlist just started off as a sort of 'club'. Then it kind of became a 'this member has done a ton for the Wi/Ht? and is well liked by us all' thing. But it's definitely very loose in its definition I'd say.

FYI, I was very close to not accepting becoming a Wi/Ht? Member. I had a real dilemma with it as my activity had been decreasing around the time, and I knew it was only going to be decreasing more. But BonusStage and RedCircle did some convincing and I accepted. Still feel guilty about it though.

Aw hell, why do I feel like such an old timer. I miss being a newbie to Wi/Ht?, changing my name all the time, and everyone calling me Kiba. I also member a lot of the old peeps.

Perhaps you're forgetting that a lot of people here (including myself) have simply seen things done one way since both these lists became active again, which was basically the RCVL providing a candidate pool for the regulars list.

People realise that they're 2 separate lists, but not everybody has been here since the lists were created, man, so people see them in the way that they've been run since they got here. As far as precedent goes since I got here, nobody outside the RCVL has been voted onto the memberlist, AFAIK, so before it was pointed out to me that it can and has happened, I really didn't have any reason to see it that way.

I apologise if my ignorance offended you, but unfortunately I haven't been here since the dawn of time, so you'll have to forgive me for not knowing certain little things.

51 days tied for 2nd with life.
See, I thought 51 days was a pretty small time gap between getting onto the RCVL and being voted onto the memberlist. 7 weeks and 2 days, not too bad at all.

I guess it still is because the next elction nobody will come close just RTB I think but he would be at 90 days

Yeah you can always get to me me better. Its hard to be friends with everyone here. Most likely for me because they don't like the gfox multi-quoting posts I make.

Huzzah!

Provided that someone doesn't steal it from me or take over. I will re-vamp it next time.

If there's one thing that the Wi/Ht? loves, it's another funky little list.

More stats more lists FEED ME NAO.

Also, made the calculation that the average amount of time between being voted onto the RCVL and the memberlist is currently 395.6 days, or 396 days if we're rounding up. Just felt like working that out ;P

I think the average will be dropping next update assuming that most of the Regulars haven't been on the list for more than a year, 36holla and kidray though are but I don't believe they are active enough.

I will change it around a bit I just got to make it looks clean.

First update of the Memberlist Ascension. (fuck I hope it looks pretty)
It's looking good, although you might want to add some spaces to the columns, so it'll look like this:

#_ | Time | __RCVL__ | Member_ | Alias + profile id.
01 | 1,400 | 08/01/2005 | 06/01/2009 | iscrulz 269500
Besides that, it's pretty good.

Next time I will. Thanks

05|0,729|05/07/2005 | 05/06/2007| Bahamut 984372
That's right, I was on the list for 2 years.

I was shocked even though I knew you were on the Regular list a long time ago. Though I thought you would be on the Member list sooner. They must of disliked dragons.

right it was just a coindience that it happen. The Acension from the Regular list happened when RedCircle went to the Member list and on the Regular list you have honorable discharges from the Regular list because they acsended to the Memberlist. So ever since the Regular list as be a breeding ground to shape Wi/Ht? Members still some sneak there way on to the Member list.

I thought it was since the Regular list started including the Ascending Regulars sub list.

I guess RC wanted to one-up gfox by making the Versus lists because gfox had just these members or on a list that are active and helpful on the Wi/Ht then RC vamped up the RCVersusL and add all the bells the whistles while the Member list stay a list were you get to go if you suck enough cock and be helpful. The Regualr list is starting to become a sister Memberlist because the active Wi/Ht?ers are not being voted off I admit I stopped using the Exclusion votes but now that I look at it should be required if theres inactives on the list like Not depsoiting j/k I mean posting in this forum, I remember looking back seeing that everyone was getting 10 or 9.6 brought a tear to my eye now its not the same.

RISE FROM THE GRAVE.

At 7/18/09 03:47 AM, Xiivi wrote: I love people treating the Regulars list as a requirement for making the Memberlist. People don't realize they are completely separate lists?

I kinda assumed most people DO realise they are separate lists, but you might have a point there. :::doesn't care too much either way, so probably just wasn't paying close enough attention:::

The Regulars is simply to show users who are currently active in the Wi/Ht? at the time. However the Memberlist just started off as a sort of 'club'. Then it kind of became a 'this member has done a ton for the Wi/Ht? and is well liked by us all' thing. But it's definitely very loose in its definition I'd say.

That would be the definition of a forum "regular," after all. Stands to reason. #;-}>

Well, I wasn't around for the start of Wi/Ht? membershipness, but by the time they asked me to join, we already prided ourselves on being both REGULAR and HELPFUL, and those two things being recognised was essentially the point of the "club" if you want to call it a club, which I don't.

Nowadays, it's just a Hall of Fame, anyway. And people always come back and become more active again, so it's not like we're going to kick people out for being inactive and then only readmit them when they're active again.

If you're in, you're in because your peers thought you should be in. What's done is done, enough said, and all that. LOOKING AT YOU HERE, ISCRULZ. #;-}>

I miss the old times, too. Nostalgia is such an evil human disease. I think cancer is far less cruel.

I still think of you as Kiba, and usually still type Kiba when I refer to you, if it makes you feel any better/worse/whatever nostalgia does to you by default.

I think his point is just that just because Recon and myself and now Bahamut have been lazily using the RCVL as a candidate pool for membership... it doesn't mean that there's a requirement you be in the one before you get into the other like some newbs might believe there is.

As I said, I don't really care if there's that impression or not. If a newb wants to find out the truth of what goes on, they'll find it out. If they're happy with their misconceptions that we haven't tried hard enough to clear up for them, then... ah well. Again... too lazy to give a damn. #;-}>

People realise that they're 2 separate lists, but not everybody has been here since the lists were created, man, so people see them in the way that they've been run since they got here. It's a "de facto" situation, IOW. As long as we keep voting regulars into the membership, people will either assume that you have to be a regular first or that people tend to be a regular first (the latter is true... the former is up to debate/your perspective).

I apologise if my ignorance offended you, but unfortunately I haven't been here since the dawn of time, so you'll have to forgive me for not knowing certain little things.

I would and have thought of it but I am not for one reason Cooper would be able to brag about passing me. Its not stopping anyone else though huh.

Nope. But you don't mind anyone passing you and bragging about it, as long as the someone isn't him, right?

People may not remember, but early on in the Regular list, there was a brief Members vs. Regulars vs. Mods triple stat list competition of sorts.
I wish I could have been apart even though back then I would drag the Regulars points down.

Wah-wah-waaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

IIRC, Alkador probably would have gone straight to the membership had that regular election not taken place beforehand. There's no way there was a 3 day turnaround in terms of getting him on the nominations list for membership, meaning that membership election wasn't using the regulars' list as a candidate pool.
right it was just a coindience that it happen.

Just so long as no one thinks that's unfair or "cheating the system that doesn't really exist and is just a product of lazy vote-runners," then okay.

Here here I concur lets have a vote. All in favor of the next election in September 09 stfu. In January 2010 Say AYE.

Awesome. AYE!

Good point. I wonder if the main reason iscrulz made the list was so that he'd be #1 again on something since he's been "robbed" of his regular#1 spot... or because he found a way to keep Coop off a list. #;-}>
Muhahaha both reasons I could include him but then its a list for users that were on the RCVL so I guess I would error it by including Cooper and Casualty I then would have to include the rest of the Memberlist users too.

Do whatever you want, man. It's your world, we're just living in it.

Pretty much. You'll note that while I am replying in honour of page 38, I started with iscrulz's bump in July, I ain't going back to February-June's posts on page 37 and replying to all that crap. Remind me if anything important happened in the first 85% of page 37 sometime, though. #;-}>
Replies, replies Ultor/Basspro55 thinking he can be on the list again/The Induction Cermony for June/some cock sucking/then me crying I was on the list. Important um nope.

Sweet. Then that page is forever dead to me, just how I wanted it. :::nods:::

At 7/18/09 03:47 AM, Xiivi wrote: I love people treating the Regulars list as a requirement for making the Memberlist. People don't realize they are completely separate lists?
I thought it was since the Regular list started including the Ascending Regulars sub list.

That might have something to do with it, but didn't that kinda happen AFTER regulars started getting made members?

It's kinda a chicken and egg sorta deal, I suppose.

The Regualr list is starting to become a sister Memberlist because the active Wi/Ht?ers are not being voted off I admit I stopped using the Exclusion votes but now that I look at it....etc.etc.etc.

My my, you sure are comfortable guessing at RC's motives. #;-}>

As I said to you, there was a members vs. regulars vs. mods stat comparison going on before RC made the list the way he made it, so I don't think it was any sort of one-uppingness of me or any other listmaker, it was just a continuation of good statlisty funs.

Oh wait I could just not accept being on the Memberlist cool then its back to the RCVL for me then.

FUNK THAT. Look what you fucking did, Kiba. You asshole. DON'T GET ISCRULZ STARTED. ;_;

Aw hell, why do I feel like such an old timer. I miss being a newbie to Wi/Ht?, changing my name all the time, and everyone calling me Kiba. I also member a lot of the old peeps.
I feel like an old timer, too and stuff but, Dayum the name changes were awesome like my Social Security Numbers and the fads Bahamut, Afro_Stud and Cooper had.

VAULT! Everyone is fond of Vaaaaaauuuuult.... except for Simon Cowell. And mice and shrews.

Here's an idea, I'll hold another one whenever I feel we have a good number of potentials to enter the list. Now isn't a good time since the amount of good potentials has been rather dry this month so far.

I was talking about just Casualty and Coop, dammit!

We'll see how the forum is in January. Don't be surprised if I decide to hold one beforehand, though.

Fat chance mister.
Alts should be allowed on the LIST mister

Not if they're alts of those who are already on the Member List. If we allow that, then let's get Fagamut to start helping out people and getting him on the list. It's just plain silly.

And now it's arguing over you hating FF.
I will never give up hating FF thats a fact.

No, you have to stop someday. And besides, I already know you're a fan of the franchise.

That's right, I was on the list for 2 years.
I was shocked even though I knew you were on the Regular list a long time ago. Though I thought you would be on the Member list sooner. They must of disliked dragons.

I think it's just a matter of other stronger potentials at the times. Tommy, Mazza, BonusStage and Xiivi were more familiar to the active members of those times than I was. Afro_Stud on the other hand, helped almost everyone on the forum and thus became a Member a lot sooner than I did.

MEMBERLIST IS UPDATED (last night, actually, but didn't get a chance to post about it like I wanted)...

Thanks to both of our new members for having banners in their profiles so I could easily get their user id#s! Much appreciated, as always.

Also, based on Bahamut's recommendations after he ran the vote... new inactives have been marked. Sadly, no one came back from inactive status this update. If you talk with any inactives and you're an active... GET ON DEY ASS and get 'em back here, eh?

</PKB>

Oh, bonus stuff: Fun tiems with Bahamut the other day when he first told me the election was over:

20:35 - Bahamut: BTW, Wi/Ht? Member List changes
20:35 - gfox: already?
20:35 - gfox: it's December, you were supposed to wait for January, damnit!
20:35 - gfox: heh.,
20:35 - Bahamut: nope :P
20:36 - gfox: shoulda let the vote go till 12/31.
20:36 - Bahamut: naw :D
20:36 - gfox: then they coulda had 01/01/2010 induction dates.
20:36 - gfox: you bastard, robbing them of that. ;_;
20:36 - Bahamut: haha

Back in the days right after the redesign, it was sometimes more of an issue getting an ID, since banners were perhaps not as widespread, even among regular/bbs users of NG as banners are now... but yes, most do.

As for that site, I think someone's linked me to it before, but I hadn't tried it out. I just tried it out on 37.newgrounds.com as he doesn't have any banners, profile pics, or nothin', and sure enough, it pulled what seems like a likely id# for him based on his sign-up date.

Excellent! #;-}>

I still like the old fashioned way.... and I still wish neither was necessary b/c profiles could still be accessed by id# instead of just by username, but ah well!

Just wondering if I qualify for the membership list? I certainly meet all of the criteria, I may not be as helpful as some, but I certainly try wherever possible. How about at least thinking about it. Cheers, GJ.

Wow, 47 of us now? Looks like we're going to need another extension for the Member's club.

And then make yet another extension when we have too much of this extension? :P Yes, we do have quite a lot of people on the list but it has to happen as the list goes on.

You best keep that lowercase r as it looks better. Lowercase b doesn't look good with my name so I have every right to have the capital B. Infact, I once tried using lowercase b but that didn't last long.

20:36 - gfox: you bastard, robbing them of that. ;_;
20:36 - Bahamut: haha

Hey, we had to let the 2000s go with a bang and I thought that was the best thing to do for this forum. However, maybe I could have introduced one new member in December and then another in January. Oh well, too late to think that. :P

I'm hoping Bahamut will be expanding it to 50 with the next update. Goddamned odd numbers of us!

That indeed works and three more members there shall be in the future.

Indeed. I keep saying things like that, but no one listens. Maybe they'll listen when we both remind them at the same time (I'm hoping the last time I reminded 'em was around 9/15!)

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. Perhaps I need to make a little history on the Wi/Ht? Regulars List. For starters, the first ever Regulars List update was right here.

Here's an idea, I'll hold another one whenever I feel we have a good number of potentials to enter the list. Now isn't a good time since the amount of good potentials has been rather dry this month so far.
damn you for jumping the gun just 31 days early. You said you'd make this up to me in a few months, and I'll hold you to that, snagdabbit! #;-}>

Screw you. Whatever I say goes here. XP Well, unless you take my rights away to run the Member List elections just for saying that, lol.

Although I don't recall you joining this fad but let's not forget the 0GMA fad. Afro_Stud was H0GMA, Coop was C0GMA and I was B0GMA. There was also harryjarry with FR0GMA and there might have been one other guy who hopped on the bandwagon but the name escapes me now.
I remember iscrulz's social security number usernames. You got in trouble for that, actually, didntcha Izzy. #;-}>

Really now?

Damn straight.

I always suggested your status should have been marked as absent and I'm glad gfox finally took my suggestion.

Thanks for taking interest in the Wi/Ht? Member List but this is an exclusive club where the members decide who should be the next additions to the list but these days they are taken from the Wi/Ht? Regulars List due to a reflection of the current active users in the forum (well, kinda :P).

Nah, I'm in good company.

Thanks again.

Pfft. Be proud of your lowercase username heritage, foo'!

You joined a long line of proud undercasemen and undercasewomen such as myself, ramagi... and... oh yeah, fixit, an undercasebot!... when you cemented that username with the redesign/username lockdown beforehand.

Heh, a username I ripped off a nickname of a college friend of mine. Yeah, very original of me. :P

Yeah my name is more vague and I use it in a adjective sense. Yours on the other hand is a proper noun so it is better capitalized. Not like we could change them without some inside help anyways. :)

You were inactive in Wi/Ht? for a while around the time the latest election was held so no PM was sent out to you.
