Okay fine. But here's the part that will divide people. Who should police Iraq until the country has a stable gov't? Moreover, who should determine the leadership of the Iraqis?

hmmm ok=
So you think that the war was gonna be and tidy thing? There will ALWAYS be a period of chaos as one power leaves and another takes its place. I do not think the US would willingly let looters and art thieves run amok--bottom line is the forces deployed their are MILITARY as opposed to CIVILIAN in nature. Different types of forces with different goals/objectives although sometimes with a common end goal (aka stability/order). I would go in further detail but im sure your bright enough to think abour it a second or two---as well as think on how OPEN the iraqi are able to EVEN criticise anyone in authority nowadays. Yes some "art" is gone but what is more valuable= A persons freedoom or an object that is representive of his freedooms?--For example what good is the american/british/canadian Flags without the PEOPLE willing to die for and defend the IDEALS IT REPRESENTS? A flag is nothing but a collection of colored thread until a PERSON chooses to make it mean something more and be WILLING TO MAKE THE SACRIFICES to uphold and defend that belief. Put another way=What matters more to a christian--->Faith in GOD or Faith in an OBJECT that is defined to be OF/REPRESENTIVE of god. I dont know about you but I think GOD places more worth on belief in HIM than a 14k gold chunk of metal in the shape of a cross.

lets remember that these are iraqi citizens doing this looting. The us has nothing to do with these thefts, and are not responsible for them. I cant sue the police if my house gets broken into, so we cant blame the us if iraq is full of thieves. Iraqis are stealing from Iraqis, and the us is only doing what it must to help.

I just found something out that might be a little iteresting to everybody, U.S. officials met with the major Iraqi general to organize an Iraqi police force and an official surrender by the Iraqi army but he said he couldnt because they had his family hostage.

Righto. I would say this has been one of the cleaner revolutions in history, I mean think of the Russian, Chinese, Cuban, and Iranian Revolutions. All of which were much more bloody than this situation in Iraq. I would also like to mention how unorthodox and unprecedented the rate at which this war was fought. This campaign moved so quickly it is staggering to realize how much was accomplished and how many casualties occured in the amount of time Operation: Iraqi Freedom has been in play.

what right do they have to be mad? If a relative of mine steals something, Im not mad when they are punished. I realize that relative or not, they have done something I wouldnt want them to do to me or anyone else, and that they should be punished. (however Iraqis may not feel this way)
