Yeah, that was heart wrenching, and it would've worked better if the movie ended there.

But besides that, yeah the ending was rather sad... it's alright to cry in movies, I think that's the objective of some of them... emotions shouldn't really be avoided like a sin.

Nah, because everyone around him dies. Which will eventually happen in real life aswell. Unlike pirates of the carribean, I don't think I'll be turning into a walking skeleton and stealing a ship by walking towards it from the bottom of the see anytime soon.

i'm scottish right and i live in scotland. and in history we had to watch it and there is an English guy in our class (he's such a swat!) and he cheered when that happened then said " Scotland sucks , England rules!!" then every one in my class beat him up at lunch time. the fucking crazy bastard.

I cried during Open Water. I never thought a film could be so shit. I was so wrong. I now regret that mistake since how bad it was has scarred me for life.
This too will pass.

Braveheart is the best movie in the entire world. I didn't cry though...
Although, I do remember almost shedding a tear durring MyGirl when it first came out. I was pretty young expecting more "home alone" funny-isms. Instead, he dies and she loses her best friend. Kind of caught me off guard.
