I believe Metaljonus does. He mostly moves in the realm of metal, but I've heard some speedcore-ish pieces from him.

Uhm..what? LoL. Dude, you know what speedcore is right? XD

Speedcore is some pretty nasty techno with beats around from 250 - 2000 bpm or something? I guess thats right. If not...lol.

It has NOTHING to do with metal at all. XD

Setu...I guess you meant speedmetal, na didn't ya?

I think all of us here at the Audio Forum still have our sanity intact.

So no. None of us make that "Genre". If you can even call it that.

I don't know whats up with you guys...seriously. Speedcore is a "genre". It's art, not everyone's art but it's art none the less.

I would rather listen to that instead of going on a modern art exposition. I don't know if the pictures and stuff they show there is really something that you can call "art".

A lot of people are go to those expositions and "WAAHM" it's art OMG. I don't listen to techno, dance, hip-hop but it's still art and "music" just like metal.

So chill out and stop picking on somebody that just asks for some fellow musicians around here that do the same type of stuff.

kthxbye! >: (

the guy was only asking whether people make it. He wasn't asking for opinions on the matter. but dude I'm sure there are people here who do make it, just don't think it's all that popular in all fairness.

Yeah, my mistake. I hadn't really heard of speedcore, so I had assumed it was relative to speedmetal.

Dj-Ravecore might, I remember him ranting on some genres that cover the range of 200-1000 BPM.

Speedcore is an own genre, right, but I think it's not an own genre worth. Because the tracks are just 30 sec. long or bit more. And speedcore lps are just bootlegs to bring the crowd in a "partytrip". I like Hardcore & Gabber but Speedcore WTF? It's ridiculous, just distortion, distortion, distortion with a "latency" between two kicks of 1000BPM. So no I don't make Speedcore.

Pretty good stuff there - I don't know if I would call any of it speedcore though - His description of his track "Screw Me" was "Speedcore Techno Experimental" but I really don't think that fits.

If he took that track and increased the bpm about 4 or 5 times then two things might happen:
1. It might start approaching sppedcore
2. It would suck.

:D

I'm surprised that so many people in the audio forum no nothing about techno.

The fast, heavy, 500-2,000 BPM songs aren't speedcore. That's extratone. Which I agree, can barely be classified as music.

Speedcore is generally 180-300 BPM. And it's very musical, unlike what most of you are saying. One of the best examples I can think of is DJ Sharpnel, who makes sone extremely high-quality speedcore/gabber. The duo is Japanese, so it's pretty hard to find their stuff. I have around 50 songs by them, and you'd be amazed at what experienced Speedcore artists can do.

I choose Gabber.

No, there are many TYPES of hardcore techno. Speedcore is one, gabber is another. Though gabber usually does contain a lot of elements from speedcore, and vice versa.

I don't see why you need to find any song if you already know of one.

You've heard one, you've heard them all.
