Do you want the applications to be posted on the board, or to be emailed to you? If I we can do it through email, I'll attach one of my completed songs and two previews that I have never released. That is, if this is open for everyone. :P

G9 what's this shit about us not able to have our music online? Come on man that's nuts. Yes we can have exclusive tracks and such but we should be allowed to distribute tracks. >.> I'll sign on if I can still post my music around.

DS... do it on the board.

XBrav... well it depends. Do you think selling CDs is really going to work if you have them available free somewhere else? I don't know... do as you feel like, but I'm discouraging it for everyone else.

I think he meant that we should be allowed to put some other songs on Newgrounds still that we won't use on the CD. Like we should still be able to post small loops for flashes if we do get the deal.

Also, does the board have file attachments? If not, I'm gonna have to find me some place to store the file temporarily.

I'm just gonna email you. You don't have file attachments on the board and I don't feel like uploading my songs elsewhere. Expect the email later.

You could always post demos on NG
that would make people want to buy the full song even more.
or you could release free tracks separately..
I plan to do both.

Sig by Writer's Block. NY blows, but the pretzels still rock.
I just finished a remix of the Gorillaz' Feel Good Inc.
Check it out! Echoz- Feel Good Rmx

If this turns to be a success, I will put my songs for sale on the site, but I will still post my music elsewhere too. I will lower quality, or submit shorter snippets of the audios, but I do agree with Xbrav that it´s not a good idea (at least not to begin with) not being able trying to make a name for oneself elsewhere too.

You can still vote for the winner of the Weekend Battle, it's an easy process and there are 8 contestants.

Loogie maed meh a sigg, its down ther.

I just thought of a great Label name: Core Creations. I haven't read through all of the thread, so I'm not sure if that idea has been pitched already, but it sure is catchy. :P

Yeah, that's why I just said demos were a good idea. Rucklo, Magnum just applied, apparently... let's check out the app. :)

And the rest of you guys... should I PM everyone who signed up? It's no biggy.

I'm not really sure what you mean, but my point is that the applicants shouldn't be judged based on downloads. None of my tracks have gold (or higher).

I'm not so sure about this.
Would this mean me deleting all my NG music? I figured this record label would just be for exclusive tracks. I might stop submitting music a lot on NG, but I would still post demos.
My point is, I want to keep my old songs on here, and maybe even submit full songs on here (not demos) in the future, although most of my music would be for the record label.

Also, I'm still a little confused about how the CDs actually get produced, and how I would get the money.

Help me, I'm just a stupid little 13 year old kid!

lol

It's your call. You can put your old songs on a CD, but that would be pointless... people would just download through Newgrounds. And even if they didn't know about NG, they would eventually find out. Pretty much, songs you make from now on should be label-exclusives, with low-quality demos being posted here at NG.

Demos are a good idea.

How to sell CDs? Go to cafepress.com. Make an account. Fill in your billing information. Make a CD. I post the CD on the site, simple as that.

Did you post an application at the forum yet?

I'm not actually burning a CD with my songs, am I? I'm just making a tracklist?

Not until I understand what's going on 100% clear.

Due to the seeming lack of interest (I've made around 40 PM's concerning this record label, yet only 4 QA's and 4 applicants have registered), I'm going to cancel this project. Thank you for all your responses and time... I apologize for any inconveniences and do realize the time you guys took voting, suggesting, etc...

Yeah, I'm really sorry this had to happen... but after so many people posted in this thread, none of them kept their interest up. Of 9 Quality Assurance requests, only 5 were answered and 4 registered. And of around 30 (I think) applicants PMed, only a third responded and only half of that third registered.

These people are probably just too lazy to sign up for another site. You should just continue to run it on here if you wish to get activity, then move it over to the other site once you get enough people to join. Have the people post their applications in this thread and then have them link to their 3 songs for approval. That would probably get more activity.
