Wow, the songs in this movie are really, really good. Those who haven't seen it should give it a chance and check it out. For those who HAVE seen it, what do you think of it?

I haven't seen the movie, but I saw the show on Broadway a few years ago. The cast did a spectacular job; it was a great show. I really enjoyed myself, but I haven't gotten around to renting the movie yet. I've heard it's quite good, but I'm uninterested for some reason.

I loved Rent! That was such an awsome movie and plus, the songs weren't all stupid and old like most musicals.

Yeah but no musical has a snowballs chance in hell of beating it as the single greatest musical in history. I mean how can Uncle Ernie ever be beaten as the single greatest uncle of all time?

On a sane free note - AIDS!! EVERYONE HAS AIDS! I HAVE AIDS, MY DOG HAS AIDS, MY SISTER HAS AIDS, MY BROTHER HAS AIDS, AIDS!!

I saw it and honestly it just didn't really grip me. I have to say it doesn't hold a candle to rocky horror picture show.

It's been close before, with Jesus Christ Superstar.
But it still cant beat a movie with Elton John, Eric Clapton, Daltrey, Entwistle, Townshend, AND Moon all in one.
Then again...What can?
I mean how can Uncle Ernie ever be beaten as the single greatest uncle of all time?
He cant.
Uncle likes to fiddle about.
And no uncle fiddles about like him. :P

If you're into musicals, it's good. I don't like musicals though, so I hated the movie as well. The whole plot is just rather ridiculous, and I got pretty bored.

And Tina Turner, Jack Nichlolas and Oliver Reed.
But David Bowie was actually ment to play the Acid Queen role. Which would have rocked.

I can totally imagine that, haha.
But Turner was a good replacement.
I always thought the Acid Queen scene was a little creepy. Especially with all the needles.

How do you think he does it?
I dont know!
What makes him so good?

That is what it was ment to be like. It was creppy for a reason.

My friend Justin and Kat, are huge Rent fans, and made me watch it. They decided I was cold and heartless because I wasnt crying like babies with them. And tried to defend it over the fact I cried over Crash. But that's illogical, cause Crash was sad, and AIDS is still funny to me. Sooo..
That didn't go over very well.

Well they did a great job on it. I always cringe on that scene.
My favorite was always when Clapton did Eyesight To The Blind, though.
It's a little funny, though. His playing doesnt match the song at all. :P
Not wearing fucking huge shoes?
Most likely. I always loved that scene, though. Had the best of the best.
Townshend smashing his guitar, and Moon kicking over his drums. Plus Elton John is always a plus.
My friend has the cassette tape with Elton John's cover of Pinball Wizard on it. It's a great track.
Daltrey sure played a deaf, dumb, and blind kid good. I swear he has the greatest vacant stare I've ever seen.

OUT OF RESPECT JUSTIN WAS GIVING ME FREE BOOZE, I did not. But I kept cracking jokes when they'd get all teary eyed and shit. Or I turned and started laugh and point at them crying.

Of course not. It is a movie, and since

Of course. A classic Who style with no gear smashing just isn't a classic Who style. And well, Elton John did have the world record for biggest glasses collection for a reason.

"Tommy can you hear me!!"
And after looking up Ken Russel the director, I found this. And just had to post it.
Gotta love 80 year old dirty old men.
