eventually. But I want to make sure the 18903745 bugs are worked out first.

I won't get Vista unless I get a new computer. I'm thinking that when/if I get my new computer, it'll probably be a laptop that's a tablet pc (the screen swivels and you can write on the screen) and I'm going to try to get it with a fingerprint reader, depending on what I'm using the computer for (I may have sensative material on there that should remain as secure as possible). The problem is that they cost a lot of moola :(

Nope. My computer won't handle it, but even if it could, I wouldn't. I'm against Vista, and I see it's release failing.

Business is already released and you can't buy it anyways (unless you've got a Tax ID number and a registered business)
The general public versions come out soon and buying anything short of ultimate makes it pointless to even upgrade.

I will have to if I want DirectX 10. But most likely, I will wait until they stop treating the users like they are morons.
I had a copy of the beta (don't know what build) and it was not that thrilling. I had it running off a computer that got a 1 of (5?) on that "can this computer run Vista?" thing. So some of my first impressions may not be up to par. But I did find it annoying when I was asked to verify that I want the file that I did in fact want to open.
Maybe once a service pack is released. I'll get it.

I'm not going to upgrade to Vista when it comes out. Firstly, Vista is a massive drain on system resources just for the OS which is totally pointless when it comes to wanting to run other applications on top of it; and I'm not sure this PC would like it too much. It runs more than fine on XP but Vista is just taking the mic. I also heard that a lot of businesses who have bought Vista already found that it doesn't work with SQL (article here).
So, I'd have to upgrade computers if I wanted to get Vista, and the next upgrade I do is going to be to either Linux or OS X. No Vista for me.

It actually isn't the resource-hog that you might think. On my previous vista installation (RC2), it actually ran alot better than windows XP. At twice the memory-consumption though (400MB at startup, but with 2GB of ram that won't be a problem.)
I think windows vista have a lot of neat features (loved the new task manager, almost makes netlimiter abundant) so I'll buy it as soon as it comes out for private consumers (I can get a hold of a copy of the business edition, but I want the ultimate edition)

Of course, I will never buy a mac, that would make me feel so dirty.
So now iMac is like "teh pwn" when it used to be like a computer for the retarded starving children?

Iowa’s counsel also presented evidence designed to show that an ostensibly charitable program from Microsoft for developing countries and schools was actually designed to ensure that Windows remained preinstalled on PCs to discourage competition from the open-source Linux operating system.

heh, so microsoft gives ALOT of cash to third world country, and they aren't allowed to promote their products? wtf kind of retarded thinking is that, if you give away that kind of sums of money, you aren't allowed to chose which operating system you install on the computers you freely give away? ;)
And besides, people that have grown up with computers have problems understanding linux, you really think that people that smash rocks for a living will? ;)

As I said, the next upgrade is from this old pc to a new iMac. So, in other words, no.

I probably won't use Vista unless I'm contracted for it or something. I don't see any need to upgrade.

I don't know if that's sarcastic or not, but if you're serious, then here's my answer:
Every operating system they've released has had tons of bugs that weren't worked out before release. That's why many people wait like 6 months to a year until they get it, that way it won't have so many bugs. Unfortunately, they always seem to find new bugs in windows software, hence 'windows updates'.
