Wade I know you're going to read this - watch those stories - the fall of those statues wasn't such a great thing after all.
I dont like George Bush or Fox news, but give fox a break, it's a pbc channel.

The BBC makes more sence than alot of the American channels.. I'm not sure about what he's talking about.
I know for sure, that the Canadian coverage of the war is pretty good, even though I am not interested in war and killing innocent civillians..

Actually, most British journalists are very unreliable. Sure, there are a few good ones out there, but they are infamous for exaggerating the truth to reflect their own personal beliefs or to make things more "interesting".

Isn't every journalist like that though?

Well, not every journalist. Some, but not every. It's just that the UK is chock full of them whereas most of the ones we have here in the US work for little propaganda bird-cage-liners news pamphlets or *cough*Fox News*cough*.
Now, I don't hate Fox News with a passion like most people do, but they do have a tendency to go with the majority almost all the time. It's pretty irritating.

Whats your game?!
Is'nt this against the rules on this site to spamm about war?!
This is why I don't rely on TV for my new coverage, like it or not, every news channel leans one way or the other. Wade hates CNN because they lean left, and Vibes hates Fox News because they lean right, plain and simple. I get most of my news coverage from Yahoo! News, which is very balanced, since they get their stories from a wide range of sources.

I'll have to watch this stuff later. I don't have real player on my laptop because real player blows.
However you are still wrong. You must not watch Fox News. They covered the story about us firing on the hotel all day long. They showed reports reeming the pentagon people about why the hotel was fired on. Fox News covered all that. They have shown all the injured people in hospitals many times. What you need to understand is sometimes people have to die or be hurt in order to make things better for the majority. Why should 23 million people continue to be oppressed when they can be freed by sacrificing the life of a few hundred, or thousand, people? You may think it's wrong, but your opinion doens't matter. It's the opinion of the Iraqi citizens that we should be listening too. Not all these peace protestors that don't even live in Iraq. If you ask the Iraqi people about the civlian casulties and injuries I'm sure most would tell you it was worth the price. It isn't up to us to say their deaths are wrong. The Iraqi people wanted to be liberated and were willing to give their life for their country to be freed.

As a journalist, I say, "No, some of us really do care about giving you solid, fair, unbiased, and well researched information". Sadly most people like Geraldo.

According to Vibes, just because some people died and were injured in the liberation of Iraq it isn't a good time for Iraqi's. He has an image making fun of Bush saying "It's a great time for Iraq". So was it not a great time for the United State of America when we won our independance from Britian? I'm sure many more Americans died and were injured from the revolutionary war than died in the liberation of Iraq. Should we not celebrate our freedom because a bunch of people are laying in a hospital in pain?
How about if those people were laying in a hospital in pain because Saddam beat them and tortured them and they laid there knowing they were still oppressed? I bet now those who are laying in hospitals in pain are smiling and happy that they are now free.
Vibes, what's wrong with you? Why do you twist everything with your liberal views? Can't you be happy for the Iraqi people? I bet if they read your liberal bull shit they'd want to hang your ass. They chased after other reporters who shared your views. So who's right? You, or the Iraqi people? You only think you know what's best for them, but you're wrong.

Ah... As predicted, the mighty entity known as "Wade" has risen up!
Wade, a few points.
1. They were not put in the hospital thanks to Saddam, it was done thanks to careless actions taken by the invaders. It's no use theorizing, What if Scenerios for the past, instead let's go with what we "know", and what may happened, not what could've.
2. Lying in a hospital bed does not conjure up images of thank god my leg's blown off, but at least I can dance a free man. That's just hopeless optimizism. We should be going, "Oh shit, we've killed tons of civilians, hope they don't demand reperations!"
3. This goes way back in the BBS as "What price victory?" If you're willing to kill off a mass of the population, then dance like you've never danced before! But after being liberated, how come the Iraqis aren't so quick to get down with bad selves? Could it be that they aren't really feeling immense pride knowing that their neighborhood is bombed, and we've stated we're giving them the bill?

Hi Wade. Really good to see anyone that thinks like I do. Not many. I only know a few in Norway.
Back to Iraq:
As many ppl like to call this a war, i think they are wrong. It should be called a liberation. This is why:
1:
The attacking power (coallition forces) do not want to conqour the land for their own use.
2:
There is only one outcome, which states that "good (coallition forces) will always win agains evil (Saddam Hussein and his regime, not the ppl of Iraq)"
3: When Saddam and his regime is dissolved, the attacking power does not want to rule the country, but restore the power to the ppl of Iraq.
Ppl thend to whine about how George Bush is a war maniac, and only want the oil. This is some reasons they are far out:
1: The liberation costs USA many billions §, I dont remember any numbers, but I heard about 75 or so.
2: The oil are going to be traded for food and other goods. Althoug I agree that oil is more valuable than food, cloth, water etc., it only gives the ppl of Iraq an advantage, not a resource that is ready to be ploundered.
3: It is not like George Bush says: "Lets liberate Iraq. It will not only cost us massive amounts of money, but might even cost lives of our soliders. But what the heck, I get oil. Muhahahah"
Some things must be done, either you like it ot not.
Well, that is basiacly what I can conclude for the liberation of Iraq that has not been spoken much of in this thread. I have bolded and underlinded importaint txt, as it is many morons out there. I can not decide if Fox news is crap, because I have no accsess to their broadcast.

Good, but I heard something about even 200 BILLION $.
The things you said are true but I'm a bit afraid that bush still freaks out and attacks Lybia or something.
And where the hell did you learn English?
In my town no one can speak English! They are all too stupid to create a full sentence.
It must be true that our teachers are worth nothing :)
Wade said that there has to be a price paid for all the liberation that goes on. If that price has to be paid, does that price include firing upon a hotel full of people for no apparent reason?
That had no justification. If there had really been shooters from the roof or lobby of that hotel, then Wade would have been justified, but that's like me getting in a gang war with a rival gang, and shooting up a convienience store because there has to be a price paid for war.
I'm not making the connection.
I don't have fox news, so i wouldn't know. But I do believe that the Iraqi people would be more than willing to risk their lives in war if it meant their country could be freed.

If he is going to attack Lybia, I will be glad. Because the victory might be even easier, and another country will hopefully get the power to the ppl.
I learnt English in Belgium. I attended a private brithis school there for 1/2 a year in my 5. grade.
I also take extra english classes once a week.
Don't you ever think that the Norwegian teachers is good. Most ppl in my class cant even spell the word spell. My best subjects is English and math, no doubt. I think we are wandering off topic now.
I hate the fox news. In fact, i hate everything about fow(except the simpsons, family guy, malcom in the middle, the pits.).

Were you there?
No.
How do you know it was for no apparent reason?
Where's your proof?
Are you a soldier?
Have you ever been fired at?
If you're in some weird country and some motherfucker is going to kill you, are you going to sit there and debate?

War is dirty business. Put yourself in the troops shoes. First we don't know what really happened, but think about this. You're in a tank, you're being fired at. You look around and see the hotel which you may not know is a hotel full of journalists. You see someone watching you (a reporter maybe, but you don't know) with binoculars talking on a cell phone. This is how spotters work to direct morter fire, etc. You fire to take them out. The only reporters that should be there are the embeded reporters that the military has taken responsibility for. All other journalists were told to get the hell out of there or stay at their own risk. Well, the journalists who died were there at their own risk and they got blow away, to f'ing bad, boo f'ing hoo. Maybe if they weren't out on balconies with binoculars and large telephoto lenses that look like rifles or morter launchers they wouldn't get shot at.
not even going to say anything else besides....shut the fuck up you stupid liberal democrat pussies let us fight the wars and keep the world safe and you can bitch and moan about global warming and fucking 'endangered species'
I just heard of this hotel thing. were there really troops in the hotel firing at soldiers?
i cant beleive you are ranking news shows. just let it go, very little of the things comeing out of the news oday are real anyway, "the first casualty of war is the truth".
