If 3-6 Mafia can do it, he sure as hell can, lmao.
Better if he wins it, he should've won one long time ago, don't forget those are the same voters who repeatly snubbed Hitchcock and O'Toole.

Lol that movie was the biggest bust in the biz. It sucked.
Who's your warden, baby?

Yeah, I agree. The movie is supposed to teach you to enjoy life and not to become emo.

On an acting basis. Forrest lights the screen on fire.
Well, seing that all the end of year critic awards are naming him best actor of the year, I have no problem believing that. But, does the movie stand only on Whitaker's acting or does it have an interesting story? I haven't seen it yet, but I'll watch it once it comes out on DVD.
On a story basis though, The Fountain is amazingly deep and inspired. Plus, the direction of photography, like any other Aronofsky movie, is just incredible.

Actually, O'Toole has another chance (probably his last too...) this year with Venus. I've only seen a trailer so far, since it comes out only in late January, but he seems pretty good in it.
I'de also put silent hill in their, being a fan of the video games and the movie, was incredible.
I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!

I don't think he'll win it to be honest with you, he should've won one long time ago.

Indeed, the award will probably go to Forrest Whittaker for The Last King of Scotland or Sacha Baron Cohan for Borat (fuck, I never tought that Borat would be up for an oscar one day...). Though, we can always hope. If Andrian Brody won for The Pianist, why not O'Toole.
You forgot Trailer Park Boys: The Big Dirty,

Let me guess : Borat :P

I saw the trailer to that movie and it seemed hilarious. I watched a couple of episodes of the series on Showcase and I liked it. Might rent it on DVD soon...
I saw Children of Men, and the movie fucking blew me away, so therefore, I'm changing my top 10 list to this one :
1. Children of Men
2. Little Miss Sunshine
3. The Queen
4. The Science of Sleep
5. The Fountain
6. The Departed
7. Jesus Camp
8. Volver
9. Stranger Than Fiction
10. Borat : Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
Wow. I have not seen a single on of those movies. I have seen Little Man and Eragon. That tells you just how little taste in movies I have.
In no order from best to least.
1.Saw 3
2. V for Vendetta
3. Clerks II
4. Star Wars 3(way to much talking)
5. Scary Movie 4

LOL
I'm finally gonna post my list. I've been wanting to do it, but I kept deciding to wait once I heard of some more movies that are pretty hyped up. Well, I've seen them now, so here they are in chronological order, as you can tell by the numbering:
1. United 93
2. Deliver Us from Evil
3. Apocalypto
4. The Proposition
5. The Child
6. Children of Men
7. Pan's Labyrinth
8. Borat
9. Rocky Balboa
10. A Scanner Darkly
I wasn't sure about the foreign titles, so I just kept them in English. Also, some movies in which I voted a '9' on IMDb are mixed in with the ones that are an '8'. Sometimes, I'm not completely sure what to give a movie, and instead of deciding for a long time, I just pick one of the two.
Here are my honorable mentions in no particular order:
Hostel, The Descent, Hard Candy, An Inconvenient Truth, Little Miss Sunshine, The Queen, Flushed Away
Yeah, no explanations. I'm too lazy, and I'm worried they'll sound too banal. However, if you disagree with one, I'll be glad to debate. Maybe it'll be more interesting. :)
