He is, this quote comes from the latest update on his website:
"Halfway through my remarks, some in the audience started to cheer. That immediately set off a group of people in the balcony who started to boo. Then those supporting my remarks started to shout down the booers."
He thinks people at the Oscars were booing the booers. What an idiot!

We already know he's an idiot, it's been established in at least two other topics.
He is not a politician, and he does not offer legitimate political commentary, and thus, isn't an issue in the POLITICS forum.

Mike is a funny guy, but he's not exactly deep or poignant. He brings up things which took little research, and he comes off as a the dirtier version of John Stossel.

you are definately biased against him. dont forget, people weere cheering him and supported his views. everyone knew he would do something like that.

you gotta agree that all of what he says is true. it might be the special truths that politicians tell, but its 100% true.
and hang on a minuite. just because michael isn't a politician means he cant express his views or anything like that? he must be clever. his speech caused the whole of america to talk about him, albeit just for a few days. he then won support and the people that didnt support him didnt change. he only gained from that speech

So now completely altering film to make something that didn't happen look like it did is a 100% truth? Since when do the "special truths that politicians tell" equate to 100% truth? They don't, and you're an idiot.
Special truths that politicians, or Michael Moore tell are biased propaganda, not 100% truth.

Actually, before he got on a pedestol and made his speech many people (myself included)accepted him as a champion of the people's rights. Now that he has decided to push his own opinion into the spot light he has been revealed to many to be the liar that he is, or as you would say, "the teller of 100% pure truth".

they are 100% truth. but they are 100% truth with a difference. special or clever truths include saying that millions of people in Iraq have dies from starvation scince Saddam came into power and that saddam was building huge palaces while his people starved. this is completely true. what they dont tell you is that they died because Iraq couldnt trade because of sanctions imposed upon them. its 100% truth, because i havent lied, but it is misleading.

Ok, well since this is really an argument of syntax, theres not much to be said here. I will, however, ask you to commit to this stance: from this day forward I don't want to hear you ever refer to George W. Bush as a liar. Instead, please reiterate to anyone that feels otherwise that he is actually telling the 100% truth. I know you won't do this, because your act of defending what Michael Moore says "100% special truth" is clearly more of a scramble to defend someone who shares your appreciation for liberal rhetoric more than anything else. I'll respect your platform once you start defending others who DISAGREE with you as telling 100% pure truth.

Hmm... how about an entirely doctored movie?
lets see...
- He completely altered the facts of what happened in Littleton, Colorado to support his cause, by stating facts that are directly against what the police investigation found.
-He lied directly about "weapons of mass destruction" being made at a plant in Littleton, Colorado. There is no truth to this.
-Moore doctored a film to make it appear as if a certain bank in Michigan would simply hand him a gun for opening a checking account- completely false.
http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2...estid=2372&_requestid=6287
Moore is a hypocrite of the highest order. Watch one of his films- what is its thesis? They are always the same- they are exposes on people in positions of power who do not tell the complete truth. Moore has made a living from chasing down and slandering people who do exactly what he does.

Oops... sorry, I accidentally left out another one of Moore's blatant lies.
How about the fact that he claims that the US government gave the taliban 43 million dollars to stop opium production? NEVER HAPPENED .
Check out this article from a LIBERAL news source ripping him apart from it. If you don't believe its a liberal site then click the various other stories. Most of the other articles are tearing apart the Bush administration and talking about how this war should not have been fought.
Being liberal is ok. But, anyone who defends Michael Moore has lost all grounds to argue with anyone. If you are willing to defend Michael Moore than you have no business engaging in political discourse of any kind, as you are demonstrating an inability to think objectively, and in doing so are defending a complete liar. I have never seen a liar worse than Moore in my life, and anyone will to defend him would defend anything by virtue of it being liberal. People like that aren't worth talking to. Here's the link.

i looked over the article and it seemed pretty dammning. i would have had to have handed it to you there, but i like arguing, so here goes.
"While the Taliban reportedly stole some of the aid, none of it was given directly to the oppressive regime."
some of the aid? exactly how much is some? even 10% is nearly 4 and a half million dollars. this article isnt very specific.
"At the time, Secretary of State Colin Powell hinted that the aid was connected to recent moves by the Taliban to crack down on opium production."
this kinda gives the game away. if it hadnt got anything to do about the opium, why is powell hinting at it? it kinda confuses me though, because i thought stopping the spread of opium was good. ah, whatever it kinda makes sense, and i see where youre coming from. i will hand it to you. you got one up on me that time. thanks and well done
if i can have the last word though, i think the complaint about the title of the movie 'Bowling for Colimbine' being about the bowling class and them not turning up to the bowling class thing, is actually quite petty. did the bowling really make much of a difference to the story. (if it did then i apologise, i just dont see what difference bowling had to do with it.)

lol... I think we all like arguing on this forum. Yes you are right about some of the arguments being petty (like the bowling class argument), but overall I still don't like the guy. He's just so shady, and good at misrepresenting facts to appear to be in his favor through the use of playing to the audience. You know he's one of those guys that could beat almost anyone in a debate, even if he is dead wrong.
Oh well, good debate- and the cordial concession of this point is appreciated.

In the UK, there is a Michael Moore that is a politician, he's a Liberal Democrat. Anyway, what is it with you and this guy not being a politician? Who cares? He doesnt have to be! Can you argue if youre not a politician, or are you annoyed in the fact that someones lying to you from outside the Oval Office?

Voted to the Ellington Board of Education, a political post, at the age of 18. Now, how about you stop that oh-so-tiring and oh-so-predictible tactic of trying to belittle everyone who's opinions aren't the EXACT same as yours? Save that for going onto Korn boards and saying "KORN SUCK", since that is your level.

Korn rule. The 'Ellington Board of Education' eh? What exactly is that? Sounds strange, but he's a bigger politician now. When he is in the news he is in the news in all of Europe and everybody nods their heads and says 'Yer, I suppose he's right.'

Umm... house_of_leaves... he never said that you can't talk about him unless he's a politician. What he said was that Michael Moore is NOT a politician, and that's it.
Time for one of my examples so you understand what the hell just happened.
What you did is the logical equivalent of this:
Anyone Else: George W. Bush is a used car salesman.
Nemesisz: No he's not, he's the President of the US.
House of Leaves: Jesus, Nem! just because hes not a car salesman doesn't mean we can't talk about him!

Actually, Taxman. You need to scroll up.
This is exactly what NemesisZ said, and I quote: "He is not a politician, and he does not offer legitimate political commentary, and thus, isn't an issue in the POLITICS forum."
If I took it the wrong way, then I'll be the first to appologize. But we all have seen how NemesisZ likes to shut people up, or try to. If he's saying it's not an 'issue in the POLITICS forum', then the next thing will most likely be 'keep him OUT of the POLITICS forum'.
Your logic, by the way, doesn't make sense to me, tho I'm not going to debate it. If we were in a 'Car Sales' forum? Perhaps it would make more sense.
If Nem had simply stated that he's not a politician...fine. But he said he didn't belong in the politics forum. How would YOU take that?
By the way...treating me like I'm stupid isn't gonna do much for you. ;) I don't need your analogies to see your point. Please don't talk down to me, and I won't talk down to you.

Check his IMDb profile (listed as Michael Moore (II)), or how about...THE BACK OF EVERY BOOK HE'S WRITTEN. It's even got a whole segment devoted to it in Downsize This. Of course, you just see the cover, scream, and run away babbing something about "radicals" and "Freemasons running the country."
Never, EVER, argue when you're not aware of the facts, you make yourself look like a troll that belongs on the General board with all the other 14 year olds.
