Urg, maybe it's best no one predicted anything for this. Now, I'm not watching, so I guess I can't truly judge, but opening the show with Taker and Punk? And having Punk pinned clean in 11 minutes?

Again, I haven't seen it, so I can't say that it is terrible booking and Punk has been fucked, but I'm struggling to see how the actions in the match could force a different conclusion.

Am I reading this right? Orton beast Cena. "The Viper" known for only running away was locked in a cage with super man and won?

I'm really indifferent about this. I am so sick of titles getting passed back and forth. Creative probably realized there was no one else for Cena to feud with, so they have to keep Orton and Cena on life support as long as possible.

I would have preferred to have Punk win

Even as I write this I am waiting for a swerve. For Long or McMahon to say "yeah, fuck you Undertaker. The match is restarted and, oh-by-the-way, only Punk can use weapons, only Punk can win VIA pinfall, and if Undertaker uses the Tombstone he is disqualified and loses the title. Oh look, Punk wins, yay!"

Talk about short title runs.. Kinda makes you wonder what was the point of having Cena win at the last PPV if he's going to lose it at the next. Call me old fashioned but longer title runs make the belt mean something a bit more. If they trade it back and forth at every turn then the amount of times they have held the belt means less and less. It didn't work for the Hardcore title and it doesn't work for this.

With both world titles changing hands I was exdpecting all the others to do the same. I thought that the tag titles were a sure thing since it was Batista's PPV return as well as the return of Rey.

Guess we'll find out what's in store for the WWE title on Raw tonight. Cena will have his rematch clause so he and Orton are sure to go at it again.

There have been rumours of an Ironman Match between Orton and Cena at Bragging Rights.

Personally, I would love to see this scinerio:

- Brett DiBiase cost Cena the match against Orton at Bragging Rights.

- With no more rematch clause, Cena and Brett can feud for a bit (helping to establish Brett DiBiase)

- This leaves Triple H and/or Shawn Michaels to chase Orton for the WWE Title (assuming DX deforms after Bragging Rights).

- Cody Rhodes should turn his back on Ted DiBiase (thus turning DiBiase face in time for The Marine 2) and have those two feud for a PPV or two, with the winner entering the WWE Title picture, and the loser challenging for the United States Title (which would add some depth to the midcard title chase).

Like how he helped establish The Miz right? I don't see it happening because they already had Brett screw Cena once. Who knows though, you can't really put it pass creative to repeat themselves.

That's interesting, but I don't think it could ever happen. Apart from the fact creative is unwilling to truly put anyone over Cena, it would always be a bad idea to put someone new into a feud with one of the top faces in your company. It would especially be a waste with yet another faceless 2nd generation star.

If they are actually going to be bringing Brett up soon, a more likely scenario I see is as follows:
Teddy screws up and loses a match or two for Cody or Randy, and they attack Ted, have Brett show up, swerve the fans and have him beat up Ted and replace him in Legacy.

Or alternatively, have Brett in backstage segments telling Teddy how dad is disappointed with with junior is doing, and plant the seeds for Ted's face turn, and then you can have the DiBiase's feud with Randy and Cody. Maybe Ted to go after Randy's title.

I find the brother thing quite lame though, whether you have them feud straight off, or team up, there will inevitably be the brother vs. brother thing.

Also, my scenario has holes, like what to do with Cena. He can bury the US title division some more though, whatever. Or maybe team with DX and destroy all of ECW in an invasion angle. Or maybe he could even put over Jack Swagger or some ridiculous idea like that.

Congrats to the Miz for winning his first singles title. His match with Kofi was great too, lots of back and forth action. The main event was watchable too though not the best I've seen.

So Cena and Orton will have an iron man match and if Cena loses he has to leave Raw. I wonder how likely that will be? As sick as I am of that fued it would be a nice way to send it off. Course that means Cena will show up on SD..Hmm. Can I stand both Cena and Viki on the same show?

Heh..Santino is funny.

An hour of John Cena vs. Randy Orton? Christ I thought WWE wanted people to buy the PPVs...

The no dq or count out thing probably means they'll just brawl all over and hit each other with shit for most of it since it seems like neither one of these guys have anywhere near a move set to pull something like this off.

Are you kidding? Randy Orton can burn 15 minutes slithering around setting up for a kick. Hopefully no DQ will mean plunder, because Cena is alot more bearable when he's getting chokeslammed into a spotlight.

A piece of me is about to commit suicide, but I have to congratulate Miz on his win - he's gone from a douchebag who only made it on because of his previous career to a douchebag with a hell of a lot of talent. It'd be one thing if he screwed Kingston over, but he pinned him CLEANLY in what was one hell of a fight. So kudos to the guy whose gimmick is the Spencer Pratt of wrestling, whether ya like it or not.

I don't always find Santino's segments funny, but trying to pronounce Ben's last name was fucking gold. The only variation he should've also done was 'Rofflecopter'; then it would've been perfect. :P

Hell, I can't even remember how the fuck it's spelled - I can pronounce it, but not spell it.

Did Mark Henry legitimately hurt himself? It looked like he wasn't faking it, and I know one of his legs is braced up, so I'm a bit worried. He's on a roll now, and it'd be a shame for him to end up like Edge where he gets injured at the worst possible moment.

The whole DX thing with the whole Steelers gang was cool.

I'm starting to wish I'd seen HiaC; the DX/Legacy match setup sounded great, and Punk getting creamed (YA SUUUUUUUURE YA DON'T WANT SOME PILLS & BOOZE NOW? :P ) should only make the feud more interesting.

I'm not sure if it's legit or not. I don't think anyone else is sure either, he certainly appeared to be hurt from what I understand, but I guess we'll see by next monday or on the house shows.

What I find dumb is bragging rights will be a multi-man match now. The only thing I can think is they're looking to give Taker "one more run" but honestly? Does he really need it? Punk needs the belt more then him and they should be using Taker's cred to help keep him established. I don't buy that they buried Punk, but I don't like switching the belt 10 million times either, and it's really not a good idea to switch it to a guy as hurt as Taker is. He's a tough SOB for gutting that out though.

Everyone, I can only apologise profusely for my lack of predictions this month. Last Friday my router typically broke and I've only just secured and installed a new one today. As such, I missed my predictions for what I believe is the first time ever in all my years of service.

No worries man. Not having the prediction made me realize how much I look forward to it before each PPV.

ECW was decent last night. I liked the main event as I think all involved did a good job with it. Man that new announcer sounds...Awkward. It will take me a while to get used to it.

I'm going on a trip and may not be around to post. I'll give my thoughts on SD and any other events when I can.

Alright guys, I'm back. I have A LOT to comment on, so...

At 9/11/09 03:48 PM, Outlaw88 wrote: BREAKING NEWS:
Jeff Hardy has been arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and a number of pills, reports ThePilot.com, a local newspaper from Moore County where Jeff Hardy is located.
*Sorry Hardy fans*

I cried my eyes out over this little piece of news. He got charged for trafficking, not for possession, even when they have no proof(that I know of)that he was selling the drugs! But still, that's a LOT of the happy pills...

At 9/11/09 06:11 PM, pepeatumi wrote: Hmmm? Should I believe Deputy Neil Godfrey of the Moore County Sheriff's Department in Cartage, North Carolina, or should I believe the dude with a PAST HISTORY OF DRUG USE AND ABUSE?!?
Decisions, decisions >_>
Jeff Hardy is a f'n joke! And I know someone will post about how the guy has "problems", but the fact is the guy has no desire to change his lifestyle. He's a flat-out joke!

He went...what is it...2, 3, 4...13 months sober, right? At least he made an effort. But seriously, those drugs are probably really addictive, and you know how the body gets sick if you stop. Smaller doses, Jeff. Smaller doses.

At 9/15/09 04:08 PM, aviewaskewed wrote: Jeff Hardy's first court hearing will be the morning of Wednesday 9/30 to face the following charges:

*Felony drug trafficking of opium

Unless they get solid evidence supporting that he was planning to sell it, I will not believe it.

*Felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III drug (two counts).

Look up.

*Maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution.

*sniff* No fighting that.

*Possession of drug paraphernalia. (misdemeanor)

"Drug paraphernalia" is...what? Sorry, I just don't know what that is.

It should be noted that trafficking charges will be related to the weight of the pills Hardy had in his home. Should Hardy be able to provide a legitimate prescription for some/all the painkillers, the weight would be reduced, leading to charges being dropped/reduced as well. That's all conjecture based on the possibility of legitimate prescriptions, however.

I hope Jeffy boy got the judge/police/press to believe him.

Hardy promised to make a further statement last Friday via his twitter account, but as of yet has not beyond thanking fans for their support.

What was his statement?

Okay, that's all I'm gonna do for now.
tl;dr I'm back and wanted to say some of my opinions.

Apparently WWE is planning on introducing a new Heavyweight belt design on TV soon and maybe some other belts. Not much else is known on this but it may be just that one of the top title belts gets re-done.

I really don't think this could turn out very good, since i don't care for the wwe spinner belt i can only image what they have in mind for the WHC. I just hope it looks similar and not to flashy with gems and dimonds and other things.

Which is the issue. From what I understand of this it's a case where Hardy has run afoul of the trafficking laws because they're written in such a way that if a person has a certain quantity of something they assume it's intended to be sold. Hardy needs to provide scrips (valid scrips) for everything he has and this charge might be beaten. He IS however being charged with felony possession of cocaine, something that is as illegal as the day is long. That one he'll have to try and plead on.

He went...what is it...2, 3, 4...13 months sober, right? At least he made an effort. But seriously, those drugs are probably really addictive, and you know how the body gets sick if you stop. Smaller doses, Jeff. Smaller doses.

Or was he just not tested? That's the question really, and something WWE may at some point be called on to address. Their screenings are random, but we have no known time table as to when talents are tested. There also appear to be loopholes in the policy that would allow a talent to test positive for substances banned under the policy but if they can provide a prescription they will get off. This would account for Benoit passing yet being found with ridiculous amounts of roids after his death. Some of those do appear to be addictive, and one can get sick if they simply stop, and because they're addictive it is next to impossible to stop on their own. This is why people (myself included) have been saying for years that Jeff should enter rehab and get his substance abuse issues under control instead of this "healing myself" crap he keeps spouting, and keeps being proven false when he gets busted.

Oh yeah, I forgot to check on that. What happened in court? Anyone know?

It's still early days, he will be tried in front of the grand jury though as what he had there was only the most preliminary of hearings

*Felony possession of cocaine.
There's no fighting that.

None.

*Felony drug trafficking of opium
Unless they get solid evidence supporting that he was planning to sell it, I will not believe it.

I'm also in the camp that thinks he wasn't planning to sell, that that was his stash for his personal use. He will need to prove that though.

Look up.

I suggest doing the same for my statement.

*Maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution.

Actually there might be. As I pointed out to a friend or two when this section of the charges came up, is this Jeff's primary residence? Is this the residence he's used since his home burned down? Unless I misread the charge, it sounds like their trying to say that he only had that residence for the illegal activity charged with...I'm no lawyer, but it seems to me that if he can prove it wasn't solely for that purpose he could maybe get that dropped. Maybe?

"Drug paraphernalia" is...what? Sorry, I just don't know what that is.

In this case I would speculate it would probably be paraphenalia associated with the cocaine. Perhaps things to cut it with, or a bong or heating device to turn the cocaine into crack. Please note that I am speculating and do not know if this is indeed what is being defined as drug paraphenalia. Nor do I have any knowledge of Jeff Hardy as someone who smokes crack. I just want to be clear on that because that's how rumors start.

But by paraphenalia, they mean anything which might be used by someone to take drugs.

I hope Jeffy boy got the judge/police/press to believe him.

If he's got valid scrips, they should.

What was his statement?

NOTHING. Jeff is being smart as hell right now in that he's shutting his fucking piehole and not saying anything to anybody, except maybe his lawyer.

Okay, that's all I'm gonna do for now.

Oooohhhh. Oh. Oh, oh. The American courtroom is harsh. They assume that if you have a lot of drugs, you're planning on selling 'em. I don't know how I would feel if he wasn't guilty of trafficking. It would be a sad, happy day.

No fighting that. Maybe it's just his personality that kept him from going to rehab? Because he is in character in real life, and gets bored quickly. Yes, I know this much about him. ;)

It's still early days, he will be tried in front of the grand jury though as what he had there was only the most preliminary of hearings

Grand jury...?! Oh god. What did you get yourself into, Jeff?!

None.

Like I said. NONE.

A weed knife and a bong. Wow, Jeff. Wow...

I really don't think this could turn out very good, since i don't care for the wwe spinner belt i can only image what they have in mind for the WHC. I just hope it looks similar and not to flashy with gems and dimonds and other things.

man that sucks... why is wwe suddenly changing everything? changing ppv names.. now belts?
next thing you know they're gonna change their company name too

WSE - World Sports Entertainment.. how lame does that sound?

For the first time since I've regained cable, I'm going to watch last night's TNA & Global Impact that I recorded. Good god, I need to catch up. Just glad that A.J. has the title.

In speaking of that, he himself has already claimed that Jon Morrison's Star Ship Pain is the same as the Spiral Tap.... I've only seen A.J. do it once, so I don't know for sure, but considering Michelle McCool's Faithbreaker is apparently the Styles Clash, it won't surprise me. He oughtta be flattered at this point that Vince & co. are stealing the moves of TNA's top guy.

No offense to anyone who likes other wrestling companies, but...I thought this was the WWE club. No offense to anyone who likes TNA, or RoH, or whatever.
On a completely separate topic, are there any unlockable characters in Smackdown vs Raw 2009? Just asking.

Yes, that's right, no more Austin 3:16. Bye bye, Stone Cold. I'll miss you. :'(

Even though it says that, we do cover TNA, it being the only other televised one out there.

Yeah, I just noticed it says wrestling club, not WWE club. I guess he just used the WWE to attract users?
Anyway, ARE there any unlockables in Smackdown! vs. Raw '09?

I'm watching SmackDown! right now, and it's pretty good so far. Punk crying about how he didn't want to fight Bautista...sorry, Batista...was hilarious to me. Maybe it's just because I hate his guts. And Teddy making the championship match was even better. And...what did Mr. McMahon mean by, "You're still on probation"? What'd Teddy do?!

*snicker* Punkalina has to fight Batista!

Vince was being a douche at the time, and he just put Teddy on it...........not a whole lot else to be said.

Last night also seemed to confirm that Vince is trying to run SD behind Teddy's back, then blaming him for everything. And with Vickie, I smell an even LARGER conspiracy. Expect Teddy to do something back eventually.

Oh gee...........Ziggy broke up with Maria................*yawns*

Matt's back on. ^_^ Hopefully this continues, as I don't want to see his career get shit on just because Jeff is fucked (sorry, Wocky.....).

The old SD ring announcer is also back. Good; he's one of the better ones.

When are they going to kick John Cena out of the main event spot, he's been there for like 5 years and it makes the show way too predictable in my opinion. As soon as he got all big and "good" at what he does (Can't put my finger on what exactly his character is supposed to do besides attract little girls), it all went to shit. The storylines sucked (HUH? TWO RIVALS? LET'S PUT THEM ON A TEAM TOGETHER AGAINST ANOTHER TEAM AS THE MAINEVENT! OR MAYBE WE COULD HAVE THEM ON OPPOSITE TEAMS, AND THEN THEY EACH PICK THEIR PARTNERS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE IN A FEUD CURRENTLY WITH EACH OTHER! AMAZING! VINCE THIS IS GOLD! x500) and everyone's pretty sick of him swallowing the mic every week with his US Army Sergeant BS, and winning every match with his modified Fireman's Carry.

Vintage Vince!! *ahem* Sorry, I don't know where that came from...*ahem*

I hope Teddy fires Vickie's boyfriend.

It's okay. *sniff* Poor Jeff...

Oh, on the topic of ring announcers, does anyone miss Lilian? It just doesn't sound right when the new guy says 'Triple H' or 'D Generation-X'. I'll always remember how she said 'Trrriiiplllleeeee H!' and 'Deeeeee Geneeeerrrationnnnn-X!' *sigh*
