Now with 25% less Greatness and 25% less American, it's The D-Lucks The Bash Predictions! Yeah, doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? You know the drill, winners in bold, match types/stips in italics.
1. The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler (No DQ Match)
This feud has certainly run its course now, and this match really should be the blow off to it. While some of you may not be too high on Ziggler, in my eyes it's certainly arguable that they are really trying to establish him as a midcard heel considering he's been given victories (despite them being by countout or DQ) over a former WHC. No, I haven't forgotten that horrible reign. Horrible, but a WHC nonetheless. Anyway, what with this match being No DQ and the fact that it's already been shown that Ziggler can get the upper hand over Khali with weapons, hopefully the win will be awarded to the man with talent in the match as opposed to the one with zero talent. Considering Ziggler can use weapons legally in this match, hopefully it all adds up to a Ziggler win. Ziggler can be a solid midcard heel if given the opportunity, and coming out on top in this feud should get him well on his way.
Ziggy to win.
2. Women's Champion Melina vs Michelle McCool w/ Alicia Fox
Don't get too upset that McTaker's going over tonight folks. Melina really has no one else to feud with. Alicia Fox is too green in the eyes of Creative, and Layla is nowhere near at the stage where she should be given title matches. Really, the only way that Melina can win tonight is if it's decided to put the title on McCool at Night of Champions as opposed to tonight. But Creative are most likely thinking 'Why wait?' McCool will likely be a transitional champ though as there are way more viable contenders for a heel Women's Champ than a face one at this point, and Gail Kim has been largely left out of contendership lately. Surely a feud with McCool and winning the belt off her is due for Gail? They've got to do something to show that it was worth coming back to WWE from TNA where she was the focus if the women's division? But yeah, looks like Melina's dropping the title tonight.
Michelle McTaker to win.
3. Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito and Primo vs Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase
Ok, at first I thought the Colons would win this match due to The Brian Kendrick's storyline not being resolved yet and that Rhodes and DiBiase get jobbed out to Randy's Feud of the Month to often for them to be taken seriously in the eyes of casual fans. But then I realised that unfortunately Creative has dropped/forgotten about/doesn't care about Kendrick and his angle anymore and that if Orton retains against Trips tonight (don't shoot me just yet), then Legacy can have a slight bit of worth attached to them in the tag titles as well. Yes, it does mean that the tag titles will once again be a mere prop for another storyline rather than them being dfended regularly, but this is Raw we're talking about. Seriously, deep down you know it's quite likely to happen. I don't really want it to happen; I'd much rather see Kendrick and THE partner get a title shot (not that they will now at this stage). But I just can't shake the feeling that it's going to happen.
CAWs 1 & 2 to win the straps.
4. John Cena vs The Miz
This is basically the match that will either make or break the Miz as a viable contender on Raw. If he just gets squashed by Cena, he'll never be taken seriously again. At BEST, we can hope that Miz puts on a good showing and comes very close to winning, only to make one mistake that costs him the win, right? That's not good enough for me though. In my eyes, Miz needs a 'real' victory over Cena in order for him to be able to back up his claims and be a real contender on Raw. And as I check the rest of The Bash's card, oh look! Big Show's not scheduled for a match. I'm sure he'll just watch from home on PPV, bah gawd. Don't be ridiculous, this match stinks of Big Show run-in. Miz helped Big Show get a win over Cena on Raw recently, so surely, SURELY they'll have Big Show return the favour tonight, right? Right? While it's certain that Miz will get pinned by Cena at some point down the line, please, please don't let it be tonight. Raw needs fresh contenders more than JFK needed a car with a roof. Future stars need to be established, and this is a prime opportunity to make one. I'm just hoping they don't screw this up. But I'm not holding out much hope.
Miz to win with any luck, via Big Show interference.
5. Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio (Mask vs Title; if Rey loses he must unmask)
As much as I don't want Jericho to lose the title so quickly, come on. Do you really think Rey's unmasking for good tonight? Nope, me neither. This could be my shortest prediction ever as I have very little else to say on the matter. Fact of the matter is, Rey isn't unmasking permanently due to merchandise etc, so he likely isn't losing tonight. End of. Next?
Rey to win for obvious reasons.
6. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs Jack Swagger vs Christian vs Finlay vs Mark Henry (Scramble Match)
Eh, this is a tough one to call. Pretty much anyone could win this; Dreamer so that the 'dream can live on', Swagger as a way to get revenge for being pinned at Extreme Rules, Christian's still bitter about never being pinned to lose it, Finlay's on the warpath (with questionable music) and Henry's always got the strength advantage that they can play up. I'm picking Dreamer to win though, but I don't think it'll be by a mile. I'm guessing that Dreamer comes in either 4th or last and really has to work to get the win, maybe being denied pinfalls by Swagger or Christian. Dreamer gets the last pinfall with seconds to spare and only just retains, which continues his storyline and still keeps any of the other 4 open for viable contention with him. And yes the predictions are getting shorter because I'm running out of characters. ;)
Dreamer to retain.
7. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy
Firstly, what they're doing with Punk's character is brilliant. The ambiguity surrounding his heel/face allignment has been tremndously well orchestrated, so props to the SD Creative team and to Punk himself. As for the match, it's probable that we'll see Punk either turn full heel tonight, or remain tweener and perhaps use questionables tactic to win, only to act remorseful for doing so like he did after attacking Morrison after their awesome match on SD this week. The 'conflicted champion' character that Punk is portraying now is just fantastic, and whether that continues tonight or whether Punk finally turns á la Jericho's gradual heel turn remains to be seen. Maybe Edge will make an appearance considering this is the first PPV in a very long time that Edge hasn't had a match on. Either way, I don't see Punk's push being killed now, it would be too illogical.
Punk to retain tonight.
8. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs Triple H (3 Stages of Hell Match)
Let's just say that if Haitch wins tonight, what little credibility Orton has left is essentially gone for good. Orton lost the title to someone who was injured, pointlessly, and then won it back. If HHH has any decency, he'll let Orton go over tonight. Orton may win the first fall, Trips may win the second or vice versa, but Orton's got to win overall. Otherwise, just like if Miz loses, he'll just be a joke really. And if Legacy win the tag titles earlier on, they can be the big faction that they should be as opposed to glorified jobbers to the stars. So hopefully, Orton retains the title and his credibility tonight. If he doesn't, then I will print off a picture of Triple H and burn it whilst yelling obscenities.
Orton to retain.... a man can dream eh?

And yeah, running out of characters so that's the end of my predicitions for this month. And as usual, any thoughts on my predictions?
