Yes, I admit it was very well done, and it may have actually restored some of Orton's lost heel cred (mainly what he did with the crew member). The spot at the end with Trips was good, too - nothing like having the hood of your own car being slammed on top of you. :P

I have to wonder if the SEC thing affected Trump sticking around? I'm not the only one of course, but yeah, seems weird to have pulled that angle last monday just to dump it by this week. I really have to wonder if the SEC threats over this "sale" had anything to do with it. Sometimes the real world is more messed up then wrestling.

Que? Was there some whining outside of the franchise? It WAS horribly sudden....

Nah; they've played Miz up too well to pull a Chavo. Yet.

I couldn't help but laugh when Vince and Festus had a brief moment on TV.

Not to mention Festus actually MOVED while still in 'ANYBODY HOME IN THERE?' mode, more or less read the paper.

I guess that was the best way to drop Santina. It was kinda funny but it had run it's course. I wonder where this will leave Santino?

I agree; if anyone can get rid of a Miss ANYTHING, it's the Trump. :P

Funny how they did the editing to make 'the twins' completely separate, since Santino himself implied the hoax to Vince the week before....

Aye this was one of the better Raw's in recent times. The smackdown tag match was good, and the steel cage match be on Friday will be awsome. The last man standing match was very good as well in my opinion and much better than that shitfest they put on at Wrestlemania. Hopefully a HITC at SummerSlam won't be bad either.

Overall Raw was a step in the right direction this week but still lightyears away from what Smackdown has become.

k i watched about 90% of RAW and i haven't reviewed in a while so here goes nothing

The opening segment was a pretty solid one. Say what you will about Cena, the guy cuts a good promo. It was finally good to see him shut The Miz's mouth after all these weeks and i am actually kinda looking forward to seeing this match at The Bash.. do i think Miz will win?.. most likely not, i see this as more of a test for The Miz, to see if he can keep up with the main eventers.

The 6 man tag was an entertaining matchup, great high spots from Hardy and Mysterio, I feel they kinda buried Ziggler a bit, i mean if they are trying to push him, don't make him untouchable one week, then a total punching bag the next.. and just like Punk, i too was upset to not see Khali fly off the top rope, i just read a report that even Jericho feels bad for stopping it from happening lol

after the match Punk raises Jeff's hand in victory, but once Jeff realises whose raising it he shoves Punk aside and leaves the ring.. I'm not a fan of Punk, but I'm really into this fued. Very interesting to say the least. Also i heard that they're basing their decision of Punk heel's turn over the reaction he receives at The Bash.. judging by the recent weeks I think a full heel turn for Punk is on its way..

"YA FOIYED!" yelled Trump to Santina.. Santino arrives (but how... no way!) and shrugs it off. Don't worry Santino, I'm sure another cheesy, immature storyline is on the way for you.

Like i wrote earlier, Rhodes and DiBiase go through entrance themes as if they were underwear, but it doesn't mean i hate their new theme.. i actually like it a lot. A win for Legacy here, and even though it's painfully obvious that Rhodes and DiBiase will win the tag titles at The Bash, it's good to see both Cody and Primo get a lot of decent offense on each other in this match.

I Love it how Goldust is bringing up the past in his recent promos, talking about his electricution, hornswoggle as vince's "son".. and i never thought that WWE would ever bring up Goldberg again.. it actually caught me off guard there. anyways vince's "office" happened to be a bathroom stall that was at the time occupied by the one and only, Festus. After he was done he managed to walk over to vince and give him the newspaper he was reading.. all by himself! :D

I missed most of the I Quit match due to it being another HHH/Orton match... I'm sick of seeing these 2 feud with each other why can't Orton create a rivalry with someone else? like MVP (who wasn't even on the show tonight.. what the hell was up with that?) anyway i knew it would end in a no contest.. i thought it was a bit fishy that they were putting a PPV type match on for free, and also the fact that they did the match halfway through the show..

Miz is backstage trying to score with Maryse yet again.. Deja fricken Vu, am i right or what?

Now I know this Trump owning RAW storyline was causing a bit of controversy.. but i didnt think they'd just put an end to the storyline right away.. ah well they probably have a plan B up their sleeve.. maybe Vince might "die" again, who knows..

I skipped the divas match.. also how much are they praising that fucking bucket of chicken?! they're going crazy over it and yet they haven't even had a bite of it yet... must be that great huh?

I also paid very little attention to the main event, once again.. create new feuds WWE.. well i can see they are trying to make something new here with The Miz and Cena which isn't bad, Like I said about Punk before, I'm not even a fan of Miz's, but anything's better than these recycled feuds like HHH/Orton and Cena/Big Show.

Orton's on his way to his car, but surprise! Triple H attacks him.. i bet you could of heard a pin drop in the arena during this segment.. it got no reaction at all.. weak ending, very weak.

decent raw, but like many have said.. it's no smackdown.

Yeah, pretty much sealed.

I pretty much disagree with every bit of that. It was a well-sold match regardless, and it didn't make Orton look pathetic - unlike the past month. If they're going to keep whoring this feud, at least they sold it well this time.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Matt Hardy suffered a torn abdominal muscle while taping the main event match for Superstars last night. The bout will be a triple threat match for The US Title featuring Kofi Kingston vs Matt Hardy vs MVP. It's being reported that Hardy is scheduled for surgery later this week, and there is no word at this point concerning how much time he may be out of action.

Poor Matt. I hope he recovers soon.

The Hurricane gimmick. It was during a backstage segment between him and Mark Henry. There is a video of it at wwe.com. Thats where I just saw it. It will be good to see Hurricane in action again.

Give it time. I'm sure once he makes his in-ring return as the Hurricane we'll see him decked out in green again.

I've seen a few reports here and there speculating Takers return. He is supposedly shooting for a Summer Slam return and is trying very hard to get in shape. Both he and HBK are said to still be pretty banged up from their match at WM. There is no word on HBK's return yet.

Apparently there's DX and Undertaker tours booked for the Summer so yeah, I'd assume SummerSlam for at least one of them. Personally I think it'd be cool for them both to return at SummerSlam, not even in an altercation. Undertaker can show up after Jericho's match and HBK after whoever they plan on fueding him with. Probably Orton or Big Show since there really the only major heels for him to work with on Raw. Actually have those fueds ever happened before? Orton probably has but I can't recall him working with Show at any point.

Orton yes, they feuded for a time about two years ago after RVD left, Michaels was I believe the first person to take the "concussion kick" and build it's devastatingness.

Show, I know they've worked each other here and there, but there's never been a long feud that I can recall.

As far as Taker, it'll be interesting to see who he's in there with, if Punk goes full out heel, that could be a great match to really cement him with, but I dunno if they want to go there so soon.

Anyone see last weeks raw ratings yet the ave of the show was a 4.5 and some parts of the show hit 4.8 now that may have gave them a big increase from the week before which was only a 3.6. Thats several million people that raw did not have in the past months. I doubt thay can keep this going for next week. What do we all think next weeks show will draw i say it will drop to about a 4.0ish.

We had some really good matches last night. SD is continually putting on some great shows. It seems we are getting a heel turn with Punk afterall due to his reaction after his match with Morrison.

The Cryme Time segment was a bit painful to watch. The part with Jessie was even harder to get through.

Why did they add Ziggler/Khali to the Bash? Didn't it have enough matches already? I just hope they leave enough time for the matches that actually count.

Morrison/Punk last night was an absoloutley excellent match. I was only half watching first time round so I'm gonna go back and give it a second run through. It really was that good. The Rage In A Cage was decent as well, some nice spots and the result was unexpected. I love what there doing with CM Punk at the minute.

R-Truth and Benjamin also had a decent match, and although the Cryme Time segment wasn't all that great, at least there doing something with Jesse. Cena 2.0 it seems. Overall Smackdown was great this week and I'm looking forward to The Bash. The card is fairly solid and it'll be an interesting PPV.

Having only caught Raw and Smackdown this week it seems like a decent week for WWE. I know ECW has The Hurricane return and Superstars had a good triple threat for the US title. If the rest of those two shows followed a similar suit this could easily be the best week WWE's had as a whole, in some time.

WWE just changed the names of two PPVs.

Source: 411mania.com

- WWE has changed the name of the October 4th PPV from No Mercy to "Hell in a Cell". WWE has been thinking about doing a PPV where the main events were all Cell matches, so this may be it.

- WWE has changed the name of the October 25th PPV from Cyber Sunday to "WWE Annihilation".

I seen that and went eh oh well they fucked over another PPV. No mercy was one of my favorite ones of the year. What is every match going to be a hell in the cell? Thats never going to work out.

This was one of the better ones in my opinion, if this is not going to be similar than Cyber Sunday than i won't care at all because i actually enjoyed this over the past few years.

I'm glad that they're FINALLY making Morrison a potential PPV main-eventer; here's hoping he gets a major feud with a top star soon to solidify his status.

I'm not entirely sure which way they're turning Punk, as his reaction TO his reaction was "Oh fuck, I can't believe I just did that.....". Hard to say still.

I loved the large number of times Jericho got hit in the nads throughout the cage match. :P

I don't see him as a main eventer just yet they need to build him up just a few months or even a years time. They can't just decide on day to put him there. He needs to go over some top guys convincingly, i would see a good feud with MVP.

It's a fresh and intriguing storyline and probably the best thing WWE has done since the Taker/Michaels classic at Mania. They have really given Punk the ball here and he is running with it. They just gotta keep it moving through the weekend here. My only problem with the match was the commentary as they acted like Punk and Morrison had never met before. What about the seemingly endless amount of times Morrison beat Punk in ECW title bouts a couple years ago? I guess we're not supposed to remember that now. Really picking a nit though, those two absolutely tore it up in there and showed why Smackdown! is must watch wrestling TV.

As far as Jesse, hey, at least he's getting an oppurtunity (unless this was a one week thing).

With Khali/Ziggler, this'll hopefully be the blow off and Ziggler can move on to better things (and maybe a better name ultimately) good to see this guy is getting to show his stuff and didn't get destroyed by that horrible gimmick he had initially.

Sure, if you're on TV getting a chance to get something over, there's less chance they're going to fire you.

Well he was part of the Spirit Squad at one point. But I meant that whole thing where he just seemed to be in endless meaningless RAW segments introducing himself instead of being out there wrestling.

Now with 25% less Greatness and 25% less American, it's The D-Lucks The Bash Predictions! Yeah, doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? You know the drill, winners in bold, match types/stips in italics.

1. The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler (No DQ Match)

This feud has certainly run its course now, and this match really should be the blow off to it. While some of you may not be too high on Ziggler, in my eyes it's certainly arguable that they are really trying to establish him as a midcard heel considering he's been given victories (despite them being by countout or DQ) over a former WHC. No, I haven't forgotten that horrible reign. Horrible, but a WHC nonetheless. Anyway, what with this match being No DQ and the fact that it's already been shown that Ziggler can get the upper hand over Khali with weapons, hopefully the win will be awarded to the man with talent in the match as opposed to the one with zero talent. Considering Ziggler can use weapons legally in this match, hopefully it all adds up to a Ziggler win. Ziggler can be a solid midcard heel if given the opportunity, and coming out on top in this feud should get him well on his way.
Ziggy to win.

2. Women's Champion Melina vs Michelle McCool w/ Alicia Fox

Don't get too upset that McTaker's going over tonight folks. Melina really has no one else to feud with. Alicia Fox is too green in the eyes of Creative, and Layla is nowhere near at the stage where she should be given title matches. Really, the only way that Melina can win tonight is if it's decided to put the title on McCool at Night of Champions as opposed to tonight. But Creative are most likely thinking 'Why wait?' McCool will likely be a transitional champ though as there are way more viable contenders for a heel Women's Champ than a face one at this point, and Gail Kim has been largely left out of contendership lately. Surely a feud with McCool and winning the belt off her is due for Gail? They've got to do something to show that it was worth coming back to WWE from TNA where she was the focus if the women's division? But yeah, looks like Melina's dropping the title tonight.
Michelle McTaker to win.

3. Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito and Primo vs Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase

Ok, at first I thought the Colons would win this match due to The Brian Kendrick's storyline not being resolved yet and that Rhodes and DiBiase get jobbed out to Randy's Feud of the Month to often for them to be taken seriously in the eyes of casual fans. But then I realised that unfortunately Creative has dropped/forgotten about/doesn't care about Kendrick and his angle anymore and that if Orton retains against Trips tonight (don't shoot me just yet), then Legacy can have a slight bit of worth attached to them in the tag titles as well. Yes, it does mean that the tag titles will once again be a mere prop for another storyline rather than them being dfended regularly, but this is Raw we're talking about. Seriously, deep down you know it's quite likely to happen. I don't really want it to happen; I'd much rather see Kendrick and THE partner get a title shot (not that they will now at this stage). But I just can't shake the feeling that it's going to happen.
CAWs 1 & 2 to win the straps.

4. John Cena vs The Miz

This is basically the match that will either make or break the Miz as a viable contender on Raw. If he just gets squashed by Cena, he'll never be taken seriously again. At BEST, we can hope that Miz puts on a good showing and comes very close to winning, only to make one mistake that costs him the win, right? That's not good enough for me though. In my eyes, Miz needs a 'real' victory over Cena in order for him to be able to back up his claims and be a real contender on Raw. And as I check the rest of The Bash's card, oh look! Big Show's not scheduled for a match. I'm sure he'll just watch from home on PPV, bah gawd. Don't be ridiculous, this match stinks of Big Show run-in. Miz helped Big Show get a win over Cena on Raw recently, so surely, SURELY they'll have Big Show return the favour tonight, right? Right? While it's certain that Miz will get pinned by Cena at some point down the line, please, please don't let it be tonight. Raw needs fresh contenders more than JFK needed a car with a roof. Future stars need to be established, and this is a prime opportunity to make one. I'm just hoping they don't screw this up. But I'm not holding out much hope.
Miz to win with any luck, via Big Show interference.

5. Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio (Mask vs Title; if Rey loses he must unmask)

As much as I don't want Jericho to lose the title so quickly, come on. Do you really think Rey's unmasking for good tonight? Nope, me neither. This could be my shortest prediction ever as I have very little else to say on the matter. Fact of the matter is, Rey isn't unmasking permanently due to merchandise etc, so he likely isn't losing tonight. End of. Next?
Rey to win for obvious reasons.

6. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs Jack Swagger vs Christian vs Finlay vs Mark Henry (Scramble Match)

Eh, this is a tough one to call. Pretty much anyone could win this; Dreamer so that the 'dream can live on', Swagger as a way to get revenge for being pinned at Extreme Rules, Christian's still bitter about never being pinned to lose it, Finlay's on the warpath (with questionable music) and Henry's always got the strength advantage that they can play up. I'm picking Dreamer to win though, but I don't think it'll be by a mile. I'm guessing that Dreamer comes in either 4th or last and really has to work to get the win, maybe being denied pinfalls by Swagger or Christian. Dreamer gets the last pinfall with seconds to spare and only just retains, which continues his storyline and still keeps any of the other 4 open for viable contention with him. And yes the predictions are getting shorter because I'm running out of characters. ;)
Dreamer to retain.

7. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy

Firstly, what they're doing with Punk's character is brilliant. The ambiguity surrounding his heel/face allignment has been tremndously well orchestrated, so props to the SD Creative team and to Punk himself. As for the match, it's probable that we'll see Punk either turn full heel tonight, or remain tweener and perhaps use questionables tactic to win, only to act remorseful for doing so like he did after attacking Morrison after their awesome match on SD this week. The 'conflicted champion' character that Punk is portraying now is just fantastic, and whether that continues tonight or whether Punk finally turns á la Jericho's gradual heel turn remains to be seen. Maybe Edge will make an appearance considering this is the first PPV in a very long time that Edge hasn't had a match on. Either way, I don't see Punk's push being killed now, it would be too illogical.
Punk to retain tonight.

8. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs Triple H (3 Stages of Hell Match)

Let's just say that if Haitch wins tonight, what little credibility Orton has left is essentially gone for good. Orton lost the title to someone who was injured, pointlessly, and then won it back. If HHH has any decency, he'll let Orton go over tonight. Orton may win the first fall, Trips may win the second or vice versa, but Orton's got to win overall. Otherwise, just like if Miz loses, he'll just be a joke really. And if Legacy win the tag titles earlier on, they can be the big faction that they should be as opposed to glorified jobbers to the stars. So hopefully, Orton retains the title and his credibility tonight. If he doesn't, then I will print off a picture of Triple H and burn it whilst yelling obscenities.
Orton to retain.... a man can dream eh?

--------------------

And yeah, running out of characters so that's the end of my predicitions for this month. And as usual, any thoughts on my predictions?
