I just saw that report. Damn. 33 is too young. I'm sure we'll get more details soon.

I couldn't see SD last night. Not because I wasn't home, but the program got taken out due to a basketball game. I was pretty pissed. I've got no idea what happened yet.

Mmm, why does this happen every year? I suppose as a fan of the wrestling business you have to come to terms with things like this happening more often than usual, but you'd think there could be some preventative measures.

You know, its gotten to the point where wrestling deaths just don't bother all that much. Still, its always terrible to see someone die so young.

RIP, Test.

the autopsy report hasn't been revealed yet
but how do you think he went? reports say he was found just motionless in his condo

he was known as a steroid user do you think this could play a huge part in this whole tragedy?

Very well could have. It's really hard to say when somebody's found dead and there's no foul play suspected. The only way for sure of knowing is when the autopsy report finally comes out. We can only lead to speculation at this time.

For being a steroid user, that's always going to be in question. It may have been a heart condition caused by steroids easily. Hell, we may have a similiar situation to the Heath Ledger's death where he could have overdosed on some sort of medication. Regardless of the case, a guy at thirty-three shouldn't just die like that. It's really sad to hear, and it doesn't get any easier because it seems to be happening so often anymore.

R.I.P. Test.

If he was in WWE, there would have been. But here was a guy that only worked occasional indies, so how are they going to monitor him and since he is NOT their employee why SHOULD they? I'm not trying to be heartless, this is sad as hell somebody that young is dead...but really, people have to take responsibility for their own actions and we have to lay the blame at his feet. If this doesn't turn out to be some freak condition (and all signs point to this will come out as yet another drug related death) this is on Andrew Martin, not the wrestling business.

Until he fails a test, I'll give you one name that proves that full-timeing in the wrestling business, from indies onto the big stage does not make you a drug user: CM Punk.

As long as he's clean, then that's the shining example to say that guys make their own bad choices, and even if there is a culture permissive to it, or encouraging of it. That is bad, that should indeed be stopped. But you can't blame the business for a guy giving into that temptation and saying "I'm going to do something I know is bad for me, harmful, and illegal". In the end, it is still up to that guy to have made that choice.

Drug use is a problem in the wrestling world. Guys trying to get big or older guys trying to keep their look is the usual cause. (Assuming that scene in "The Wrestler" is true) Some have enough sense to not do it, but far too many it seems don't. It's a damn shame that someone young had to die to remind people of this risk.

Tonight on Raw, a match between Ric Flair and Chris Jericho has been teased. Ric Flair should not wrestle and has said that he is not going to wrestle again. I think he has something up his sleeve with Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper.

I'm too damn lazy to make a decent sig right now.

Damn, that was underwhelming!

I was hoping for something huge involving Jericho at WM, and instead we're going to end up with a handicap match.

Not for nothing, but this entire RAW episode has been pretty damn boring. Here's hoping that Cena and Edge can come through in the main event, and actually give us something food.

Raw was...pretty boring actually. I did like the 6 man tag that had all the MITB participants present but other than that Raw was bland. Jericho's match at WM better turn out to be something else. A handicap match just isn't what we really wanted.

I am looking forward to ECW tonight to see Bourne return. I'm eager to see what WWE is going to do with him now.

Okay, two things...

First, WWE is NOT World Wide Entertainment.

Second, ever since Benoit, wrestlers DO get tested for steroids and performance enhancing drugs.

Whoever wrote that article needs to get his facts straight.

I know, double post. I don't care. SHE needs to get her facts straight.

Oh, and Raw was pretty blah. If Jericho's match at WM is him vs. three old HOFers, then that's just sad. Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat are both younger than Ric Flair and who obviously WWE doesn't think that they can handle a match themselves like Ric can. Or maybe this was a personal decision on their part. Either way, I don't like it and I don't see how this can be Wrestlemania caliber entertainment.

ECW was pretty good last night. I really enjoyed the matches from start to finish. We now know at WM the tag titles will be unified one way or the other. They also announced an all diva night to come.

Even Bourne doesn't look like he lost a step since his injury. It was good to see him perform again.

I'm actually excited for this. I've been wondering for a while whether or not an all female wrestling show could draw, guess we'll find out next week. I only hope that we can get at least one long match with either Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea or Mickie James involved (Since they're probably the best four female wrestlers on the WWE roster).

Jericho's match:
Ugh. Only one of those old guys looks to be in decent shape.. one looks near death and piper isn't at all impressive. Flair and Rourke have to get involved at wrestlemania to save this match. They probably will, but there won't be a shock factor because it's all been so widely publicised.
What should happen: SHOCK HEEL TURN FOR ROURKE WHO KO'S FLAIR!
oh wait, that's been done before.
Jericho should have been in a match worthy of headlining wrestle mania after the year he has had, this isn't it.

All diva ecw:
Maybe gail kim will debut to save this. Apart from Natalya and Beth there isn't much in the way of wrestling talent within the divas. I don't think I'll bother watching.

That would be a twist for sure, probably more likely to be hogan if they do something like that.
Much more likely to be rourke though.

What is the point of Shelton dropping the US title to MVP the week or 2 before mania when they are both in the mitb..?

Maybe for Shelton to win MITB ( a man can dream ). Shelton deserves a world title run, hell, if the Great Kahli or whatever his name is can get a run, Shelton should get one.

There is an article on wrestlezone that is talking about Vince and his disliking of Christian. I don't know how true it is but you can read about it here.

Vince is probably not very happy with the fact that ratings have been down. Heading into WM with low numbers is a good cause for worry I suppose.

I'm looking forward to SD tonight. I want to see how Edge handles his situation.

That is a pretty good interview. I'm glad HHH was candid enough to talk about him beign worried about future storylines rather than be in character for it.

SD was pretty good last night. I liked that MVP got the U.S. Title again but it makes me think he won't win the MITB match. Which may be what WWE wants me to think. Honestly I am still rooting for MVP, but I also would like to see Benjamin win.

Taker and JBL had a decent match as did HBK and Kane. Seeing Jeff Hardy flip out with that chair was a definite highlight though.

Great, Kendrick and Jackson got pretty buried. Honestly, it's such a waste of potential. You have to wonder what things would be like for the two of them right now if Kendrick hadn't fucked up his push by enjoying the ganja.

That may be but he was up against Jeff Hardy. One has a match at WM and the other does not. This match wasn't about Hardy and Kendrick. It was just about Hardy.

So I'm predicting that Miz and Morrison win the undisputed tag belts at Mania and head to RAW. Honestly we really need to condense more of these belts down, let's just have one women's champ again, lets have one mid-level champion (meaning at least the fusion of the IC and US belts, but probably those should merge with the ECW title). The brand extension is in no way a hard split anymore, it's just a base roster of talent you can use on a show now. Having this many belts made sense when there was more of a hard split and the idea was guys couldn't go to the other show without being traded or a special storyline to explain it. You had single brand PPVs so you needed more titles to even things out and sweeten those contests. But with the way things are now it's too freakin much and it's unnecessary. Time to pair things down down to a more manageable level.

As far as the Mania build? Ugh, it's been shit, and they jacked up the price by another 5 bucks!!! Seriously? Really? If I didn't know a guy who still owes me money and will probably cover my end of this PPV, I'd probably skip it in protest (and I honestly still should). WWE deserves a bad number for this show, a really bad number for the way they're doing things. But the problem with rooting for that of course is that a bad Mania number means a lot of people will be losing their jobs as a result. Mania is the big show and WWE basically sets their yearly budgets and such by it. So a bad Mania number will lead to another major blood letting at Titan, perhaps even bigger then that 10% reduction earlier in the year.

I think the reasoning behind the Tag belt merger is that they were having Miz and Morrison appear on all three shows while being defending tag champs anyway, and the fact that there are so little tag teams to begin with that they must have figured it was pointless to have two existing tag titles. I have to disagree with you on the merging of the mid-level belts as they can be used to establish up and coming talent. That and they have been more consistent with keeping them to their respective brand. Yeah we saw JBL battle Taker last week, but it wasn't about the IC title.

But yeah there doesn't need to be two women's titles either.
