Christian has just not gotten over the way they wanted. I think part of it is they're fault because they've done nothing to re-educate the audience about who he is and what his past with the company is. I think they dramatically over-estimated that they had an audience base that remembers a mid-card guy from the Attitude era who was a mid-carder who fucked off elsewhere (and for most fans just utterly disappeared) from TV 3 years ago. Can't see them giving Christian the win here unless they're going to start pushing the hell out of him and reminding the fans who he is real soon. To me the most likely scenario looks like it goes to MVP and they continue to build him as a strong babyface on his way up to the belt (could this wind up being a repeat of what they tried to do with Kennedy? A guy who will wait until next year's Mania to cash in?)

WWE could still suprise us in that match. Sure I'd like MVP to win, but Benjamin also has a good shot in terms of guys who could use a push to the next level with a big win. However there is a possibility that WWE will give the win to someone like Mark Henry. I don't think he's ever been in a ladder match. It will be interesting to see who gets it.

The way I see it happening Kane and MVP are the two most likely to win the MITB. (or edge as I noted earlier)

You can count on plenty of high spots involving benjamin, christian and kofi.

Kane is always good as a "transitional" champ which is all the mitb winner seems to be. Whoever beats him in the end looks strong.

MVP I don't want to see winning it, but it just seems logical as he is probably the person closest to ME status.

I want to see Christian win!
It won't happen, He will go on to win the ecw title.. hold it for a few months then lose it to an upcoming talent to build them (probably kidd the way things are going) then move to smackdown.

I've been meaning to ask this.. With Christian now in the MITB, where does that leave Jack Swagger and the ECW title? Will we get another pre-show battle royal (With the winner facing Swagger at WM), or will Swagger begin a feud with Evan Bourne, who's supposed to return next week?

It's almost certain that Bourne will start a feud with Swagger next week. With all of Swagger's contenders now in MitB (even Mark Henry), there's no other logical choice for a challenger left on the brand other than Bourne. Plus they've been heavily pushing his return on the show, so it's inevitable really.

I don't know about that. The last time we saw Bourne he was attacked by Mike Knox. Plus there is still Finley for Swagger to contend with as well as Dreamer though a WM match between them is highly unlikely. Both Rey and Knox don't have a match yet for WM so there is a possibility that Rey and Bourne could tag against Knox and somebody else.

I think you either do Bourne, or you try to build Dreamer up a bit and send him in there. Those are my top two thoughts.

The only other thing I can see is having some kind of battle royal with the winner getting a shot, because everyone else on the ECW roster right now seems and feels too much like a guy that isn't "there" yet, not even as a no.1 contender let alone someone who might beat Swagger (and honestly, I don't think they should be in any hurry for Swagger to drop soon).

I just saw that report. Damn. 33 is too young. I'm sure we'll get more details soon.

I couldn't see SD last night. Not because I wasn't home, but the program got taken out due to a basketball game. I was pretty pissed. I've got no idea what happened yet.

Mmm, why does this happen every year? I suppose as a fan of the wrestling business you have to come to terms with things like this happening more often than usual, but you'd think there could be some preventative measures.

You know, its gotten to the point where wrestling deaths just don't bother all that much. Still, its always terrible to see someone die so young.

RIP, Test.

but how do you think he went? reports say he was found just motionless in his condo

he was known as a steroid user do you think this could play a huge part in this whole tragedy?

Very well could have. It's really hard to say when somebody's found dead and there's no foul play suspected. The only way for sure of knowing is when the autopsy report finally comes out. We can only lead to speculation at this time.

For being a steroid user, that's always going to be in question. It may have been a heart condition caused by steroids easily. Hell, we may have a similiar situation to the Heath Ledger's death where he could have overdosed on some sort of medication. Regardless of the case, a guy at thirty-three shouldn't just die like that. It's really sad to hear, and it doesn't get any easier because it seems to be happening so often anymore.

R.I.P. Test.

If he was in WWE, there would have been. But here was a guy that only worked occasional indies, so how are they going to monitor him and since he is NOT their employee why SHOULD they? I'm not trying to be heartless, this is sad as hell somebody that young is dead...but really, people have to take responsibility for their own actions and we have to lay the blame at his feet. If this doesn't turn out to be some freak condition (and all signs point to this will come out as yet another drug related death) this is on Andrew Martin, not the wrestling business.

Until he fails a test, I'll give you one name that proves that full-timeing in the wrestling business, from indies onto the big stage does not make you a drug user: CM Punk.

As long as he's clean, then that's the shining example to say that guys make their own bad choices, and even if there is a culture permissive to it, or encouraging of it. That is bad, that should indeed be stopped. But you can't blame the business for a guy giving into that temptation and saying "I'm going to do something I know is bad for me, harmful, and illegal". In the end, it is still up to that guy to have made that choice.

Drug use is a problem in the wrestling world. Guys trying to get big or older guys trying to keep their look is the usual cause. (Assuming that scene in "The Wrestler" is true) Some have enough sense to not do it, but far too many it seems don't. It's a damn shame that someone young had to die to remind people of this risk.

Tonight on Raw, a match between Ric Flair and Chris Jericho has been teased. Ric Flair should not wrestle and has said that he is not going to wrestle again. I think he has something up his sleeve with Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper.

I'm too damn lazy to make a decent sig right now.

Damn, that was underwhelming!

I was hoping for something huge involving Jericho at WM, and instead we're going to end up with a handicap match.

Not for nothing, but this entire RAW episode has been pretty damn boring. Here's hoping that Cena and Edge can come through in the main event, and actually give us something food.

Raw was...pretty boring actually. I did like the 6 man tag that had all the MITB participants present but other than that Raw was bland. Jericho's match at WM better turn out to be something else. A handicap match just isn't what we really wanted.

I am looking forward to ECW tonight to see Bourne return. I'm eager to see what WWE is going to do with him now.

Okay, two things...

First, WWE is NOT World Wide Entertainment.

Second, ever since Benoit, wrestlers DO get tested for steroids and performance enhancing drugs.

Whoever wrote that article needs to get his facts straight.

I know, double post. I don't care. SHE needs to get her facts straight.

Oh, and Raw was pretty blah. If Jericho's match at WM is him vs. three old HOFers, then that's just sad. Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat are both younger than Ric Flair and who obviously WWE doesn't think that they can handle a match themselves like Ric can. Or maybe this was a personal decision on their part. Either way, I don't like it and I don't see how this can be Wrestlemania caliber entertainment.

ECW was pretty good last night. I really enjoyed the matches from start to finish. We now know at WM the tag titles will be unified one way or the other. They also announced an all diva night to come.

Even Bourne doesn't look like he lost a step since his injury. It was good to see him perform again.

I'm actually excited for this. I've been wondering for a while whether or not an all female wrestling show could draw, guess we'll find out next week. I only hope that we can get at least one long match with either Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea or Mickie James involved (Since they're probably the best four female wrestlers on the WWE roster).

Jericho's match:
Ugh. Only one of those old guys looks to be in decent shape.. one looks near death and piper isn't at all impressive. Flair and Rourke have to get involved at wrestlemania to save this match. They probably will, but there won't be a shock factor because it's all been so widely publicised.
What should happen: SHOCK HEEL TURN FOR ROURKE WHO KO'S FLAIR!
oh wait, that's been done before.
Jericho should have been in a match worthy of headlining wrestle mania after the year he has had, this isn't it.

All diva ecw:
Maybe gail kim will debut to save this. Apart from Natalya and Beth there isn't much in the way of wrestling talent within the divas. I don't think I'll bother watching.

That would be a twist for sure, probably more likely to be hogan if they do something like that.
Much more likely to be rourke though.

What is the point of Shelton dropping the US title to MVP the week or 2 before mania when they are both in the mitb..?

Maybe for Shelton to win MITB ( a man can dream ). Shelton deserves a world title run, hell, if the Great Kahli or whatever his name is can get a run, Shelton should get one.
