Yeah, cause it's not like he ever drew a shit load of money. He never made one red cent on merchandise either. I mean, who even REMEMBERS that has-been at this point? Yeah...

Now back from Bizzaro World, your comment is rubbish. The internet fans may not like him overly much, but to say what you said is just nuts. The dude made the money, drew the houses, so you can't question his push. You can question how he's used it and what he did with the fame and the power, but you can't question that he didn't deserve to be a focal point.

Honestly, with as much drama as Hogan has with the divorce, I can see why he wouldn't want to go overseas, not to mention even though it's much more stable over there now then it has been, a war zone is still a war zone. I don't blame a single person who fears for their safety and what them potentially dying could do to their family and bows out.

But in reality, it's probably a case where Hogan wouldn't get enough cash and with what relations are with Hogan's camp and Vince these days, I tend to think he wasn't really even asked, or if he was it was a very fast phone call that Vince probably knew would result in a negative response.

Vince doesn't have to push for anything, that's problem one I have with this story. Vince is HEAVILY involved with creative and he's the boss! If he wants somebody brought up, put on tv, and even given the WWE title upon their debut, it'll happen. Do you know why? Because it's his company and he can do that!!

Also I'm of the camp that feels Smith was called up just to be the first to get busted. I think they knew damn well Smith had a problem, or he failed a test in advance and he was brought up solely so that they could have the first public failure be an undercard guy they could punish rather then have it be a main eventer like Jeff Hardy.

I've been hearing Smith and Wilson have been working more regularly and I know the plan initially was for them to be part of a new Hart Foundation with Natalya but then Teddy Hart flamed out (again). I think DH has certainly done his time though and it's time to give the guy a chance, if William Regal can be on strike 2 and IC champ, and Jeff Hardy is on strike 2 and in the thick of the WWE title hunt, there's no reason 1 strike Smith can't be brought back and at least given a chance to see if he can be a productive part of the roster and this was just a youthful indiscretion.

I hear that, Avie. IMO DH deserves to be at the very least at the top of the mid card. The guy is an AMZING wrestler and could have some dynamite matches, especially with guys who are good technical wrestlers.

I love in the little video on the TNA website where they are talking about MEM vs frontline that these new guys deserve a chance because these MEM guys got theirs and kurt goes, "yeah, win a gold a medal"
Bloody hilarious.
Angle is awesome.

I'd be fine with DH Smith getting another chance. We never really got to see what he could do last time. If he is as good as some of you say, then why not have him on the roster. The more talent the better.

It's been a long time since WWE had the Slammy Awards. I am kinda looking forward to it, since the show is going to be 3 hours. Lets just hope for some good matches in between awards.

It looks pretty loaded in that regard. The Salmmys are outdated to me, it's just dumb gaga that probably will not help the rating at all, and if anything I think it's one of those things that angers the core audience they want to get back. Why didn't the just save the IC title tournament for that night? It seems pretty clear the idea here is to re-establish that title as something important, so what better way then to say "we are going to be devoting a 3 hour show, or at least most of it, to determining a new no. 1 contender"

I will be very upset if Santino and Beth does not win the COTY award. They are just so awesome, especially Santino.
Y2J vs Jeff Hardy is going to be good if they do not make Y2J Hardy's bitch for the whole match.

I truly hope it is terry funk.

Source: Rajah

-- TNA's mobile text update service issued an updating saying Kurt Angle's "mystery guest is a former World champion who was a former tag team champion with Mick Foley," reports prowrestling.NET. Angle will have a mystery guest in his corner for his match with Rhino at this Sunday's Final Resolution pay-per-view. Names that fit the description include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Terry Funk, Steve Austin, Kane and Mikey Whipwreck. Foley also held the WCW Tag Team Championships with Kevin Sullivan, but Sullivan never held a world championship in his career. It pretty much goes without saying that it won't be either The Rock, Austin or Kane, so that leaves Terry Funk and Mikey Whipwreck

I just don't see the point if it isn't. If it turns out to be Mikey I think a lot of the audience would be like "who?" which is a shame because Mikey was and is a pretty talented dude, but just never really got any notoriety really.

It was great to see Helms again. I'm not thrilled that they truly are using MVP as a jobber at this point but hopefully he'll get a win sometime this year.

Another triple threat match? They are really overusing this match. I'd like to see them do it old school ECW style where it's elimination rules. That would make it more interesting.

I do like the mind games Edge plays. It reminded me why I missed him during his time off.

I like his entrance music.
But you think after so much time off he would come back looking more toned.
Don't these wrestlers work out any more?

Triple threat adds the unpredictability, any body can win without making others look weak.
Especially the loser who doesnt get pinned.
I cant say that I dont like it.
Makes those people who think they know who is going to win in advanced a little less cocky.

I think because it was a severe neck injury that he was limited in that reguard. He probably wanted to come back to the ring sooner rather than later and insead of making himself more toned, he just wanted his neck to be 100%. I'm just guessing on this, and I wouldn't call him out of shape either.

Yeah I really don't like Vicki either but you have to admit she sure gets the crowd worked up when she yells "Excuse me!"

They probably don't want to have Shane run SD. I think he would do better messing with Steph rather than take away the momentum Vicki has. I'm sure it can happen though but then they run the risk of what they did wrong with the InVasion storyline. It became all about a McMahon fued rather than a brand one. Lets keep the focus on the wrestlers this time around.

I think that the Edge --- Vicky angle is pretty cool. It is funny to see the fans boo her out of the roof whenever she appears. The "Excuse me" line is hilarious too. Honestly, Vicky is doing a nice job playing her evil GM role. If a the fans hate her so much that they want to see her getting destroyed, it is a good sign.

And that is why I am actually in favor of the one fall Triple Threat in this case because if WWE had more time to promote Armageddon and this match, they could put over that the situation may actually benefit Edge since his biggest strength has always been he always manages to exploit any situation to his advantage, and Edge actually has a pretty good track record in Triple Threats, as 2 of his six reigns began with wins in Triple Threat bouts. They could do a lot here in saying that if H and Hardy can't find a way to neutralize Edge, and just let their hatred consume them they don't have a prayer of winning. That'd turn the bout into something more interesting I think then the standard build these things have where it's like "the champion is at a total disadvantage"

More then likely. Also I think Samoa Joe might want to try his hand at WWE at this point. Jesus christ when they have fucking Sting pin you clean it just shows you where the glass ceiling is in that company.

Also glad to hear about what's happening with Curry Man, bout time Daniels got back into the spotlight, even though he'll probably get wrecked with the rest of Frontline.

WTF, MVP jobbed to Charlie Hass.
How can he possibly recover from such a deep depush. No matter how the creative team will push him in the future, nobody is going to take him seriously after he lost to jobbers like Haas cleanly. MVP' credibility has been perished and there is nothing that can save him now.
MVP's career is over.

I think he can be rehabbed, for a lot of people this is what they want to see, a cocky heel get his comeuppance and it's possible we're reading too much into it thinking he's fucked here. Still, I'd like to see him moved beyond this soon.

I don't think Haas deserved to be turned into a jobber to begin with.
He was a solid performer.
He should be part of a tag team.

I also see MVP coming back in a big way.
Even though he is losing repeatedly he is still a major part of the show and very entertaining.
It has to turn around eventually.
Every time he comes out to wrestle you think this could be the one he wins, it doesn't matter if he has lost 20 times in a row. You can't write him off completely.
Right? right? No? oh ok.

Oh wow, WWE's most exteme ex-announcer, Joey Styles, knocked out JBL in Iraq.

"One of the most newsworthy events that transpired on World Wrestling Entertainment's tour of Iraq last week took place nowhere near any of the cameras that were filming the tour. I was stunned at hearing the following story over the weekend and initially chalked it up to being just an urban legend, but as it turns out, it was completely accurate.

Retired WWE announcer (and current WWE.com personality) Joey Styles punched out former WWE champion JBL in Iraq during an altercation between the two, busting JBL open under the eye."

I guess all these years in the wrestling business have taught him a few things about defending himself, huh.
Apparently this will make Vince like him more...

Raw was ok last night, though the slammy thing made it slow at times.

Maybe the point of MVP losing so much is to make us feel sorry for him. I do. Seeing a person with his skill be used as a jobber makes me wonder what WWE is thinking.

I will admit that I laughed during the Khali segment with people doing the sway while Lilian sang. I also found it amusing how loud the crowd was during Vicki's speech. They were booing so much and so loudly that she could hardly say what she wanted to say.

It could, or Vince could be mad that Joey knocked out one of his favorite ass kissers. The hazing and the bullying and stuff that guys like JBL do should absolutely stop, it's well past that era in the business and if WWE truly wants to be seen as an entertainment company they need to do away with this. I have heard this was a bit of a learning experience for JBL, and I say good. You act like an asshole eventually somebody is gonna fix you, it's just so funny that it was Joey who did it.

I would totally be behind that. MVP is a guy who is ME material, but his losing streak is tarnishing that. I have no idea why WWE is doing something this stupid.

JBL getting punched out by Styles is justice to me. JBL has always been a bully, and he got what he deserved. He's beaten other guys up in the past, so it's good that he got what was coming to him. I just hope Styles doesn't get in trouble for this.

I heard that he made awful comments on a drug tester. Intially, the WWE jobbed him for a few matches as the punishment, then it has apparently turned to a storyline which I do not like.
I highly doubt that he is going to win before the year ends.

I liked the Miz/Morrison match on ECW. They have become highlights of the show for me. I can see both guys getting titles down the road. Morrison especially could be a main event guy. I would place Miz as a bottom-of-the-top, top-of-the-bottom kind of guy. I would be up for him winning a title like the U.S. or IC championship.
