Lashly is set to return soon so I think it's a very good chance we'll see him in the Rumble. Will he win it? I guess it depends on who else is in the match. Way too early to say.

Not only will I take both those bets, Ill give you 2 to 1 odds if EITHER of them win it. But I win if anyone other than them wins the RR, standard 2 to 1. Cool?

Oh, also cool RR qualifying match at the house show tonight:

Source: Rajah

WWE's official website is hyping a Royal Rumble qualifying tag team match between the teams of DH Smith & Drew McIntyre and Carlito & Santino Marella. It is set to take place this Friday night at a Raw house show at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. The winners will get spots at this year's Royal Rumble.

If it's true, then Carlito and Marella will win, considering as there is no chance in hell of Drew McIntyre making it into the Royal Rumble.

Just to throw in again, gotta agree with most of what Red said. When you save the "holy shit!" spots to be the finishes of big matches and don't use anything like it on the rest of the show, it stands out way more. This is something a lot of guys need to learn, on the indies, TNA, and elsewhere. You cannot book or work 5 matches or more on a show that is just holy shit spot on top of holy shit spot makes them all bleed together and nothing stands out. That's always been the one complaint I've heard about ROH, you get so much good stuff that it's hard to pick things out in the end. This is why slowing down both the style and the booking is good. A thousand gimmick matches on a show makes the gimmick worth less. A thousand high spots means that most likely none of them will stick with people.

WWE was extremely smart last night to let Hardy pull off a big move to end the show and make him seem big time. It's just a shame that once again Umaga is on the losing end of things. But it's not like it was to Triple H or anything, makes more sense when it's somebody they're trying to have breakthrough. Still, think about how far Umaga has fallen in only a year, it's a shame.

I gotta disagree. Umaga is still perceived as a monster and a threat, and I believe they've done a good job in keeping him strong in most bouts despite him losing. In fact, you can make a case for every match hes lost recently. The Raw Anniversary show? He went after all three of them and was abandoned by his teamates. His PPV bouts against Trips? He looked strong in those too.

And if you consider his position on the card....last year he couldnt win a match or even have a decent match becuase they were all handicap matches against Bobby Lashley. This year hes in the Main Event constantly against the Raw Elite. In fact, I'd have to consider him to be one of Raws Elite.

So yah, I have to disagree because Umaga still seems strong to me, but I will agree that now he needs a new direction and a new feud.

And dear lord, not against Lashley. Maybe Jericho. Yah, that'd be awesome. Umaga vs Jericho.

Arghbarge. Making my NG comeback.

Yeah, but then Jericho would once again be far away from the title picture... Anyone remember when Chris was coming to save us? Now he's feuding with Stan Hansen-lite. I wonder if Jericho regrets his decision?

That Tuesday show looks like it'll be good. Moore Wang (>_>) and Morrison/Miz will probably deliver once again, and we can expect the same from Chavo vs Punk.

I will stay away from the conversation about high spots, because it'll lead to a lengthy discussion and we'll end up back when we started.

And a couple of other things... Apparently Kristal (Anyone remember her?) has posted a message on her Myspace stating that Bobby Lashley will return at the Royal Rumble. I can see all 7 of Lashley's fans going nuts as I type this.

And for fans of old school wrestling. ESPN Classic is now airing back to back episodes of UWF wrestling from the early 90's. Its cool if you want to see guys like Cactus Jack before they made it big... They also had a jobber named Dave Meltzer, and no, I didn't make this up.

Oh...NOW I think I know what promotion this is! This is the one where the guy did all those ridiculous knockoffs of WWF gimmicks right? He had Cactus Jack as a fake islander, but didn't bother to have him change his name or his snake skin boots...lol.

lol, that's the one. See, its not the UWF that was run by Bill Watts. This one was rub by Herb Abrams and lasted from 90 to 94. Its only PPV drew a whopping 500 people. There's some good talent on the show, Backlund, Bigelow, Foley and Terry Gordy among others. Except that pretty much every match was a squash match with a non-finish.

Think about that for a second... A 2 minute match ends with a DQ. The best way to describe it is this. TNA before TNA existed.

I remember Abrams coming to a bad end as he fell in with the wrong folks and it cost him his life. Still I remember Foley saying he was a very generous guy, loved the business, and paid well.

Rigged? Rigged you say? Well consider this.. We never once got a shot of the wheel from far away so the bottom was only on camera when Hornswaggle was running around it.

The backstage segments aren't necessarily live. None of the audience are there to actually observe them, so they can get whatever outcome they so desire.

You know what you wanna do with that, right? You wanna put a banging donk on it!

I missed ECW last night, but I heard it was a pretty good show. The Miz/Morrison vs. Wang/Moore match sounded like it was great, as was the bout with Punk and Chavo.

What did you guys think of it?

The Tag Match between Miz/Morrison and Moore Wang was in my opinion, the weakest of the three matches... But it was still a very good match and worth going out of your way to see. Chavo vs Punk was similar to last week's match, and once again Punk DOESN'T get a clean win over his opponent. He won by DQ this time around.

God forbid we have a champion that actually looks strong in his victories.

Just because Umaga wrestled a lot of elite superstars and lost all the matches, it does not mean that he is an elite. Saddly, Umaga is moving closer and closer to Kane's role at SD! --- a jobber to the stars. In order to be considered as a threat, he has to beat (clean or not) someone who is on the top. Quite frankly, Umaga even failed to beat Flair given how badly he destroyed him when he made his RAW debut. When was the last time that Umaga beat someone worthy?

RAW this week was awesome. Especially the Shawn Michaels and Mr. Kennedy Tag team match.

Raw was always the better show.

Also, which diva gave you the biggest erection last night? Mine was Jillian, although I still think Maria is the hottest.

Actually, they have at least another year left on it. Even if they went back to WWE, what would they do? Tag wrestling dosen't matter in WWE.

I was discussing Flair's retirement match with my friend Searp3nt, and about who he should verse and when. And I thought, Wrestlemania, the grand stage, and it should be against 'Taker.

Cause like, it'd be, Career VS WM streak.

Flair could end his career at the grand tage, and 'Takers Wrestlemania streak would continue, 16-0.

Idunno, could make for an ok match, they're both legends.

OPINIONS.

Well, I can take you in the way-back machine and show you that we've already seen that once before. I forget which Wrestlemania it was, but Ric Flair was defeated by the Undertaker back when he was doing the American Badass gimmick. In fact, in one of the most memorable Wrestlemania moments that I can recall, Undertaker counted on his fingers his 10 Wrestlemania victories after viciously destroying Ric.

I wouldn't mind seeing it again, but Undertaker hardly needs it and Ric would mesh a lot easier with a guy more his size.

On the Team 3D comments, they do indeed have a year left in their contracts, but they've also been heard saying that they wouldn't mind another run in the WWE before their careers are through.

However, the latter is only rumors and speculation as I can't exactly say it came from a reliable source.

But I can say this.

Colin Delaney will win the rumble and go on to challenge Funaki for the cruiserweight title in the main event at Wrestlemania.

Tell me which is more likely?

Arghbarge. Making my NG comeback.

Why are they just fucking around with that kid, he gets pitted against the hardest opponents there could be, and he gets squished.

=]

Ha, Horny in the Rumble. Maybe he'll hide under the ring until Khali eliminates everyone else and think he's won. I mean, he doesn't know any English, he'll just walk over the top rope thinking he won. AND BAM, out comes Horny, the last man in the ring.

If Hornswaggle wins the Royal Rumble I'll hunt down the people in creative and beat the stupid out of them.

I think Umaga will have an impressive showing in the Rumble match. They could really help his monster gimmick if they let him beat Kane's Rumble elimination record.

I really see Hornswoggle winning the Rumble.. Just because.

As for Colin Olsen... My bad, Delaney. I'm guessing he's going to be the next 1-2-3 Kid. You know, minus the drugs, roids and Chyna.

By the way, Taker vs Flair was WM 18.

And last but not least, there's word going around that WWE signed Chris Harris (THEY SHOULD HAVE SIGNED JAMES STORM!).
