Hey man, I think it's about time I came back here...and made my Wrestlemania predictions since Wrestlemania is TONIGHT!

Playboy Pillowfight: Torrie.

Women's Championship title match: Mickie (aka. Alexis)

Money in the Bank Ladder match: Ric Flair

2 on 1 Handicap match: Boogeyman

Casket match: Mark Henry (as much as I hate to say it, boo)

Hardcore match: Edge (if he beats Foley, he gets a huge push)

World Tag Team title match: I say Carlito and Masters. What have Show and Kane done (besides decimate Smackdown)

United States Championship title match: The wrestling...god. J...B...L

No Holds Barred match: I say Michaels wins...and after that victory you will see Michaels retiring sometime this year...maybe next.

Triple Threat World Heavyweight Championship title match: R...K...O (I wish Rey would win it. Rey winning the title would give Frogman a push)

WWE Championship title match: The king of kings returns to his throne. He's been off it for WAAAAAAAAAAY TOOOOOOOOO LONG!

Torrie won, Mickie (Alexis) won, Ric Flair lost, Boogeyman won, Mark Henry lost, Edge won, Carlito and Masters lost, JBL won, Michaels won, RKO lost, HHH lost, thus making my Wrestlemania 22 record six and five. Hey, at least I got more than 50% right.

Favourite Match: HBK vs The Chairman - Never in my 10 years of watching wrestling have I ever seen someone so brutally owned. I don't think landed a signle shot on Micheals after hitting him with a belt a few times. HBK was just enjoying himself.

Biggest Disappointment: HHH vs Cena(c) - What the hell, man? Cena REATAINS!? Son of a bitch! Anyway, tehre is some good news. The poster for Backlash shows Triple H "returning to the throne" so he may win the title there. At the same time, a commercial for Backlash has John Cena saying "I take back what's mine." I got a feeling we may be seeing RVD(c) vs John Cena vs Triple H for the WWE title at Backlash. Just a hope anyway....

Biggest Surprise: Kurt Angle(c) vs Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton - Wow, Rey Mysterio is the World Heavyweight champion? I had my miney on Randy coming out on top. Anyway, I'm very happy Rey has become the champ. He deserves it!

Notes:

* Both HBK and HHH were doing the DX crotch chops. This actually disapointed me. I was getting live play by play of the event, and one posting said that HHH had gone to get a sledgehammer after doing the crotch chops. I was HOPING that HBK would come out, stop HHH from using the sledgehammer, then superkick teh shit out of Cena, allowing HHH to hit Cena with the sledgehammer, then the pedigree and get the win. So much for DX coming back.......for now!

* A LOT of the results from last night happened at the last minute. McMahon kept changing who he wanted to win in the World Heavyweight Championship, WWE Championship and United States Championship matches. The rest were pretty much set in stone.

* With Big Show and Kane victorious, look for a possible fued between the two in the future.

Sorry, major typo there. Here is what I meant to put:

* With Big Show and Kane victorious, look for a possible feud between Carlito and Masters in the future. Either that, or the WWE Creative Team may want to give them another title shot at Backlash.

I don't like boasting but I've been saying wigger boy would beat HHH for a while... and Misterio wins the WHC title, its ok I guess. But the important thing RVD won the MITB ladder match, could this possibly mean that the WWE has finally realized that the fans want RVD to be champ? Probably not.

On a side note there was a 18 man inter-brand battle royal that was not shown on ppv but will be part of the dvd when it comes out (just like last year) with everyone wearing either red or blue shirts to represent what brand they were on. What is noteable about it is that Steven Richards was in the match, being his first time back in action since October where he was last seen in OVW. Sadly the win went to the guy that no one could lift, Visera won, and afterwards he kissed Lilian Garcia who at first refused then accepted.

Sweet, thanks for the invite! :D

As for my views on WM22, I thought it was a pretty good one overall, but there were a lot of curveballs that I didn't see coming. From what I heard, they changed the outcomes of some of the matches around 5 or so times before they came to some of their conclusions. Why though I have no idea. Some twists were minor, but one of the big one was Mysterio winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Rey, a heavyweight? Pffftttt! It was probably best said when one of my friends brought it up last night. It may sound mean to say it, but he probably wouldn't have even won the title had Eddie Guererro not died. Harsh statement, but overall probably true.

The other major one that caught me by suprise was Cena winning against Triple H. I would have thought with the way the crowds had been currently acting towards Cena (a lot upset and booing him) that they were ready to pass on the title to Triple H. Maybe they're going to go somewhere with RVD's MITB match win and maybe sometime after they have One Night Stand this year, he'll challenge at it and win the belt from Cena (maybe) and then have to defend it against Triple H at the following PPV.

Maybe some questions will be answered on their half tonight on RAW and maybe we'll find out were things are going. I'm curious to know what's going on in Vince's head (although it's a little scrambled right now).

Something interesting from WWE.com's match recaps:

"John Cena will long remember this WrestleMania victory, but he may not remember it fondly.

The Cerebral Assassin’s greatest mind game may have been turning the majority of the capacity crowd against the WWE Champion . The atmosphere was utterly electric in this charged, highly emotional environment. And the loudly derisive chants aimed at Cena must have had a psychological impact on the once unanimously popular champion."

It really does seem to be setting up for a heel turn, and I just find the part in bold really ridiculous.

http://www.wwe.com/s..es/14160262/results/

I like the picture of Cena almost crying as well. Thats what you get for sucking balls.

I'm not looking orward to Smackdown though, I must say. the first 15/30 minutes are just gonna be Rey in the ring crying and holding the title in the air to big cheers. Cue Chavo and Eddie's wife to come out and join in the crying party, and most likely Teddy to congratulate him as well. I might try to avoid that part, unless RKO or Angle come and spoil the party.

So what now for Cena? Should we expect him to lash out at the fans tonight and turn heel? Or is he just going to keep on being the face champ that nobody can stand.

You know that Angle will probably come out during Rey's crying festival and make it known that he lost his title without being pinned or submitted.

One other thing, it looked like Masters and Carlito were pissed at each other after the match, this could be interesting.

And finally, for those who didn't see WM... Triple H actually tapped out to the STFU. I honestly think that Cena would ave to go heel from this point. The negative reaction was the loudest I'd ever heard for anyone. It was three times louder than the heat that Vince took. If DX ends up reuniting, my life will be complete.

I did find both HBK and HHH doing the DX crotch chop a bit amusing. I also noticed that people were cherring for Carlito after the tag match everyone wanted something to happen but who knows, maybe something will happen on Raw.

I dunno whether I'm posting things that everyone's read from the site, but under the HBK-Vinnie Mac match, they wrote this:
"Michaels sealed McMahon’s fate with a DX chop"

I'm gonna suggest HHH face turn and renuiting with HBK. In my dreams, but still. It all seems to add up, and would fit quite well.

Which I guess is a reason why Vince would never have it happen.

I don't if anyone has seen the post-match interviews on the WWE website but HBK sounded like the HBK from the DX days and Cena sounded like someone who's going to turn heel soon.

I wonder if Cena will actually be any more interesing as a heel. At least his move arsenal will include cheating rather than pumping up his shoes. Hell, he might even lose the shitty gimmick, fingers crossed.

HBK probably sounded like that to make it convincing to the people (and McMahon) that they got what they wanted to see, the Shawn Michaels of the old days. I don't know if it will be a permanent thing, but he gave McMahon what he wanted at least. At this point I think that it may be a good thing that they turn Cena heel because it would at least go along with the people booing him. I haven't seen Cena as a heel (if he has been that is) cause I didn't start watching wrestling again until around the last few months of '04. Don't get me wrong though, I watched wrestling before that all the time, just got tired of where some of the story lines were going is all.

Cena was a heel for a while when he started using the "wigger" gimmick he was actually a bit better as a heel. On a side note it seems like the plan with RVD is to have him challenge for the title at One Night Stand 2, hopefully this means that RVD will finally get his title run.

Heh, it was definitly before Eddie was Dominic's father, although that was one of the storylines that I was glad stopped at some point. I still miss Eddie to this day, he was my favorite Smackdown wrestler just because of his antics that he did. I know I'll miss him...

Indeed it does seem that RVD will be using his MITB at ONS2 and if he does there, odds are that they will give the belt to him being that he was once a part of ECW's history. I'm interested to see where that goes and the aftermath that will follow if he does win the title.

Also, my favorite match was the MITB match, yet my favorite moment was the part where Vince got put on the Table with the Trash can on his head and HBK elbow dropped him from the ladder. (Fuck yea!)

It would be great if dx got back together. There's Kip James, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and BG James. Hey are Kip James and BG James related or just coincidence?

For RVD to use his MITB contract at ONS2, wouldn't that mean taht one of the World Champs would have to be there? Why would any of the WWE champs even show up at the ECW show?

Also, confirmed for tonight. Kane and Big Show will take on two members of the Spirit Squad for the tag titles and the main event has been anounced for this Friday's Smackdown. Rey Mysterio Jr. will defend the WHC against Randy Orton. Could this be the end of Rey's title reign? God, I hope so.

That seems likely to be the case, but I don't know if WWE would let that happen being that it's not their own brand (even though I thought they bought the rights to it)

The Kane/Big Show match will likely be a crush match, but after Wrestlmania last night the old saying 'anything can happen in the WWE' comes back into effect. They might lose due to an outside interference from the other SS members while the ref isn't looking and make the other 2 the new champs. As far as Rey goes, I hope that he loses the title too. I can't see how a 5'3" man that doesn't even weigh into the 200lb range can keep hold of the title as the "Heavyweight" Champion. Suprised that it wasn't Angle though, but maybe their leading up to a Batista/Orton feud.

Well Rey Misterio is champ and he's a former ECW wrestler so maybe RVD will challenge him, even though I doubt RVD would jump back to Smackdown when he's only wrestled on Raw for about 2 months.

That would be an interesting match, since they used to be partners. Plus their style is very similar. I wonder if RVD will use the title shot right away, or wait a while like Edge did.

Shaeks you are # 198 welcome!

I still think having RVD challenge at ONS is a bad idea. It takes away from the whole ECW thing. Why drag WWE into an ECW reunion show again?

I'm cool with Rey having the title. He's been working his ass off for a long time and I think he deserves his time on top for a while. Like him or not, he is not only over, but uber over with the general crowd. And wouldn't it be cool if he made it to ONS as the champ? Hell an RVD/Rey match for the title on any ppv would be an awesome one. That would have match of the year in a heartbeat.

This is the good opinion on the good matches and the bad matches.

The Bad:
-Torrie Wilson Vs. Candice Michelle- I like seeing my Diva's, but this match was really pointless to watch.
-Boogeyman Vs. Booker T & Sharmell- This match was just an excuse for them to be in Wrestlemania 22.
-Mickie James Vs. Trish Stratus- They could have though of someone else to win the Championship, Trish went against Mickie before.
-World Tag Team Champions Kane & Big Show Vs. Chris Masters & Carlito- This was an okay match, but a bit too obvious who was going to win.
JBL Vs. Chris Benoit- Although the title did switch hands, it was another excuse for the two of them to be in wrestlemania.
-Undertaker Vs. Mark Henry- It had a cool casket, but it was a little too obvious who was going to win.
-WWE Champion John Cena Vs. Triple H- Yawn, they should have had someone better to face Cena like Batista or RVD. Neither of them deserved to win.
-Rey Mysterio Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. Randy Orton- This seemed like it would be a good match, but was way to short, plus Kurt Angle should have won.

Now (finaly) The Good:
-Money in the Bank Ladder Match- The ending could have been a little better, but people falling off ladders and people fighting loads of other people is always fun to watch. Plus injuries always happen.
-Edge Vs. Mick Foley- One of the best hardcore matches ever. If you are a true wrestling fan, than you have got to see this match. Both Edge and Mick were bloody and combulsing in pain. Edge also had blood in his eye. The ending was brutal, if you want to see it, buy the DVD when it comes out.
-Shawn Michaels Vs. Mr. McMahon (No Holds Barred Match)- I thought this match was going to be like the match in Wrestlemania XIX when Vince went against Hulk, but it was much better. This turned out to be the best match of the night. I have never seen such a big ladder. The ladder made it so good. Also a must see match if you are a huge wrestling fan.
Win:Loss = 3:7

Overall this Wrestlemania was not that very good. 2 matches made it an amazing moment to watch though.

Well, it's getting close to RAW and then a lot of questions I hope will be answered. I want to see where they are going with Cena and I'm also curious as to what's their plans for Kane and Show and what's going to happen with Mickie James and Trish. Well, hope that it's a good one!
