Oh I know that Cuba and the US is no where NEAR to having good relations despite everything dear Jimmy Carter tries to do. However, just because Cuba is close to the US doesn't mean it poses a great danger. Cuba is known for research in biotechnology which has been used to develop sufficient quantities of anti-viral medications to supply the country's patients. Yes, John Bolton, US undersecretary of State for Arms Control, has accused Cuba of having a bioweapons program and bluntly told Cuba to end their biological weapons program or else and the country allegedly has ties to Latin American insurgents and has provided safehaven to some Basque terrorists. Secretary of State Colin Powell has said that the Bush administration believes Cuba is capable of producing biological weapons but doesn't come out and say Cuba has done this. In fact, there is no evidence whatsoever that Cuba has produced biological weapons and shipped them to US-unfriendly countries such as Syria. Also Cuba does not have the missle capabilities to launch an attack on the US. If you believe that the real danger lies in Cuba harboring terrorists then I guess that would be a cause to be alarmed at

Now they (the media and several low-ranking government officials) are saying that, because Saddam Hussein had a box of Cuban cigars in his palace, that Cuba is in on it.

Jesus, leave Fidel alone.

yes, I want a link also. If this pans out, I'm going to fucking draw a nasty political cartoon about Saddam eating French Fries, and so they must be in on it.
