I feel like I've lost a great friend everytime I complete a game that I really deeply enjoyed.

Such moment would be now, for I have finished Breath of Fire 4 and it was intense and a good ending.

What do you feel like when you finish a game? Accomplishment?

Hey, why not start a text-based RPG here? I call it NG ADVENTURE!

Anyone familiar with classic interactive text adventure games will understand what I'm talking about. Anyone who doesn't, well... You're just too teenaged to understand.

NG ADVENTURE

Staring at the monitor in your dimly lit room, you open up your web browser and head to Newgrounds. What will you do?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Nay.

So, in reply to CD's question, I feel more regret than relief.

Because, if I sought the game out to the end, then I really liked it. And it's really sad to not have it arund anymore.

For example, Legend of Zelda: TP. I liked that game, ALOT, and when it was done, I was sad.
But most LoZ games end on a sad note so that balances itself out.

Exactly.
They seriously need to make a game with an ending that doesn't leave me sad.
Maybe a game where after beating it, you can still do things from after that point.

For example, Legend of Zelda: TP. I liked that game, ALOT, and when it was done, I was sad.
But most LoZ games end on a sad note so that balances itself out.

That's true.
It would suck to be Link, he never gets what he wants.
And we all know what that is, right?

I always feel a bit down after finishing a good RPG, but then I start to think of all the stuff that still has to be accomplished and it cheers me up a bit.

Sad because the adventure is over and I must say my goodbye and now I'm bored again have to find a new game to play.

On the other hand some endings just put a smile on your face, FF9 did that, probably the best ending in any game ever.

Don't worry, I'll be getting one very soon, I'm waiting for a response from a firm about a part-time job there. Even if that fails, I'll get one.

Dude, get .Hack//G.U. DO IT. DO IT I'LL CASTRATE YOU.
Seriously, that was one of the best RPG's I've ever played. Almost everything is concluded, there are some minor plot holes, but those are all concluded in the anime.

I'll tell you a few of the little plot holes.
One NPC character, a minor person, just someone there for idle chit-chat and trading, talks to you as if they know you, in the Anime, that person had a different player character and was a member of the guild you were in. One secret character you can get in Volume 3 of the game is someone who the main character was good friends with in the Anime, but they left the game (Yes, the setting is an online MMO, but you player from the prospective of the character in the game) to pursue a career in medical stuff. The girl that the main character is jumping through flaming hoops of horrible rape and death was his closest friend in the Anime, and his love interest.

get tales of the abyss...
good game, nice plot, all the characters are pretty solid, and again you get to see what its like if the main character was a pissy asshole.

star ocean 2.... in my opinion better than the 3rd one for the battle skills and the fact that you can control someone more badass than cliff dias flac, most the special moves are actually something you can bring to a boss fight without too much problems, private actions arent as restricted, bunny races wasnt 2 minutes and a waste of time, and you dont get adray infact you dont even have to get 2's version of adray you can say fuck him and stick with 7 people if you like, hell all the characters except for claude and rena are optional you can beat the whole game with just those 2 bet your ass thats hard...sadly the plot and dialogue is 5th rate kinda cheesy, battle voices not so good, and some unresolved glitches that will be fixed on the psp version of the game..... not a bad game but surely one of my favorites...

makai kingdom another kickass game with badass people, quirky battle fun battle system...hehe throwing people off maps has never been so relieving, nice twisted plot, funny, challenging, good voices and dialogue, crazy dramatic ending if you ever wanted one kinda badass, you can costumize your base map and talk to your henchies, watching zetta kill people to grant a wish....
the random dungeon.. no! no! thats what its called can be a total ass munch of difficulty at times forcing you to get your ass off the floor quickly, post game stuff involves intense grinding (still have to kill prinny baal), A.I are fucking mini geniuses good portion of the time, and class disbalances.

50 cents from grey shadow that you can shove up a nice warm place.

That's good Grey. But are those reviews of games you've played?

Also, I think there were good RPGs for the GC, not many, in fact, there weren't many good games for the GC.

Anyone played Kingdom Hearts? I never did. Reason being because Disney cjaracters need to stay the fuck out of RPGs. I remember the commercials for it. The song they used was awesome. I liked Sora, his design at least, but I don't like Mickey Mouse. So, is it good?

Eh, KH is alright but i didn't like the plot too much. But i must say that the battle system is quite fun. Just give it a try, it's not that bad of a game.

KH 1 is good, but I honestly like KH 2 better as far as combat goes. Two words: Reaction Command.
The only thing I didn't like is they took out my favorite summon: TINKERBELL.
For those who haven't played: She's the ultimate summon. She constantly heals you and your party until the battle ends or until she has to revive you because you're too gung-ho :p
They could take out every other summon, and leave me with Tinkerbell, and I'd be perfectly happy :p

As far as a good GC RPG... Well, if you wanna count them, I liked Baulder's Gate and Gauntlent Legends. Mostly have RE and Zelda games on the GC, though. Got RE 0-3, and Zelda : Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker.
Even with it's Cel graphics, I thought Wind Waker was well done.

I haven't.

Someone pull up a Wiki page of it.

FUKKEN BOOKMARK IT

It's now named: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Check this: "Dawn of the New World possesses a multiple ending system: the game's conclusion is decided by the actions the player has made throughout the game."

DAMN YES.
This will make the game even better.
