Star Wars Kenel Iscol

There's an awkward silence before Captain Tronos lets out a large laugh, "Ha! Won't be getting any girls as a Jedi, Iscol. I hear they frown on that kind of thing." the table laughs along at the Captain's joke.

"And you'll be doing the galaxy a great service by becoming a pilot, Kenel, in all seriousness." says Lt Starborn. "I wish the best of luck to both of you."

Star Wars Kikow

"We can use the Force, Kikow. I believe this sickness may have been started by the Force. Which means not only are we the only one that can heal it, we're probably extremely vulnerable to it."

Master Yembei pauses, "Before we leave I want us to study up on illnesses, we'll be stopping by the libraries.."

Star Wars Sasan'oru

The waitress pulls away in a panic, the turquoise dressed twi'leks have stood up and are moving toward Sasan.

"We were watching you." says a yellow twi'lek.
"You took an awful long time to order your drink.." says a dark red one.
"Maybe you'd like to tell us...what took so long?" says the yellow one again, pulling out a knife.

Okay, I've joined the Creedy Defense Force. It's a really big group, and well-organized. Their website is here: http://killtrend.pro..rds58.com/index.cgi?
Read their rules and such, and if you care to, sign up.

As for us hanging out, I'm all for it. I've already got Cheese and Hellbound on my contacts, but Jack...you STILL haven't given me a link to your profile. Here's mine for now, just so I can practice what I preach here... http://www.urbandead..rofile.cgi?id=490514

Kinda funny how you found me dead when I was looking for you. Mumford Towers (the Creedy Defense Force HQ) got over-run, and I was killed. I guess I might've gotten killed waiting for a revive as well. But I'm up now and heading for Giddings Mall in Pinteybank. I think there's going to be a massive strike to take back Fort Creedy sometime soon, which should be fun.

Star Wars: Sasan'oru

Sasan'oru appears unperturbed by the sudden intrusion. He sets his drink down calmly and turns to face the trio. "I did, and what of it? Should I assume that all my business should be privy to your nosiness? Or is the lady spoken for by one of you? I pray your forgiveness if I have intruded upon your mate unawares."

Sasan'oru looks at the yellow twi'lek's knife as if noticing it for the first time. "My, isn't that a pretty little toy you have there? One might assume that revealing such an instrument would likewise reveal an intent to use it." He slowly reaches to his side and pulls his own blade free, holding it up for the group to see. "Mine's bigger," he says with a sneer.

OOC: ...or least, that's what he says if it is, indeed, bigger. ;) If not, let's substitute that statement for: "It's not the size that matters, friend, but how you use it."

"What the devil are you getting yourself into now, fool?" he thinks to himself as he tenses for a sudden attack, should it come.

I'll check them out. Judging by what I've seen so far, they are pretty good.

Didn't I. Damn. My profile .

I already got you on my contacts. I found your body in the Walrond Square.

But I'm up now and heading for Giddings Mall in Pinteybank.

I'm in the Bromley Auto Repair right by the mall.

I've been to the Fort. How do you enter it? When I got there I had no "Enter the Buildng" button.

Okay Jack, I finally have you on my contacts. So is that all of us from this club? If y'all don't feel like getting involved with CDF, that's cool, but I think it's a pretty good idea, nevermind that it's great for meta-gaming.

I'm gonna restock FAKs and try to get the fort more secure. Speaking of which...

I think the only part of the fort you can actually enter is the Armoury. But I think the rest of the area can be barricaded. Not sure, though. I'll ask a few questions at CDF.

While your at it, ask them why the call the Auto repair "the entry to the mall". I don't see how one can enter the mall using the auto repair. I figure that unless you knock the barricades down, there is no way to enter the mall.

If you read the section of the wiki about barricade policies, you'll see. But in a nutshell, the mall is kept at extremely heavy barricade levels because it's a very high-profile target (arguably the highest). The only way in is through another adjacent building with a lower barricade level, and then only if you have free-running. This is why free-running is pretty much the best skill to have in the game. I recommend getting it first or second.

Why is it that important?

The only way in is through another adjacent building with a lower barricade level, and then only if you have free-running.

So if I enter a heavely barricaded building I can't run from it to another heavely baricaded building?

Why is it that important?

Mostly because the mall conatins numerous stores in which you can get almost every worthwhile item in the game. Plus, after you get the Bargain Hunter skill, the odds for getting items rises dramatically. The zeds know this, hence, number one target.

The only way in is through another adjacent building with a lower barricade level, and then only if you have free-running.

Incorrect. Free-running allows to go from building to adjacent building without exiting the building. Think of it as finding access routes or some such. Thus, it's the only way into heavily barricaded buildings. Without tearing down the barricades, that is.

I wouldn't bank on it, but it's a possibility. Seems like all the fighting is going on at Fort Creedy. That's where I'm headed.

Yeah, okay, but is there a roster available, or do I just look at the last week and rank everyone who posted?

Hiya. We still need a couple of game stats from the TOON players so we can start the game, if people still wanna play.

Now, a completely unrelated question: Do any of you use the OHRRPGE? (Official Hamster Republic Role-playind game engine?) It's a program you can use to make RPGs. Just wondering if any of you have ever used this in the past, would like to use it or has any tips?

here is the website.

The starting ranks are on the last list. You just count everyone's posts and see whether anyone has dropped\gone up a frequency rank. If anyone surpasses a guy directly above him by on the list by two frequency ranks, you move this guy up. Pretty simple.

Hamster something something RPG? Sound interesting. I'll take a look.

The new guy\gal - I've never played Guild Wars, but since it is supposed to be an RPG and Diablo is enough of an Rpg for us, Guild Wars will fly.

To join follow these four easy steps

1.)State your reason for wanting to join.
2.)List five of your favorite RPGs.
3.)Give us a valid e-mail.
4.)Post five times within the next week.

Congrats to JackOfShadows on the highest post count this week. I'd put the little trophy up, but I don't know how. I'm willing to learn...

I wasn't sure if Hellbound Ninja was a member or not, so I counted him as a non-member. We didn't get any formal applications for the group, so I didn't include Levia.

======================

So things were quite slow this week. Still quite a pain in the ass counting all those posts and figuring out who did what. Well, it's gonna be a slow one for me this week, I think. It's a big national holiday over here and I'll be away/out for a few days. Don't let things fall apart without me, eh? ;)

Say, since we're the RPG Club and all, so long as we're doing rankings, why don't we get some better ranks for ourselves? Cool sounding RPG style ranks, like "Librarian," or "Archon." Any other feelings or suggestions?

Indeed, but things are a bit slow now, eh?

SteelAngel, begging your forgiveness, but your RPG attempt here seems a bit...random...and rough around the edges. Do you actually have any kind of format you're following? As in game engine, or is it just an attempt at an interactive story? Beyond that, it seems rather thrown-together. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to badmouth you, but I don't think you'll garner any interest unless you provide something with more substance.

I don't think he means about the story. I think he means how will the events and character decisions playout. I wasn't too interested cause I can't seam to understand the point of stuff like characters and stats.

What exactly does one character type have that makes it different from another? Like how in most RPG's, the dwarf is short but strong, where as the elf is tall and slender but physically weaker (Though not true in all RPG's)
How do the stats effect the game? Does an intelligent character have better proficiency in skills, or does a characters physical strength heavily impact the flow of combat.
How is conflict resolved? Conflict meaning combat phases, saving throws against traps, and other important things that effect the consequences of the players actions.

I don't intend on being rude, but I don't see how such information would impact the scenario your setting up, nor why decisions like classes/races would impact what happens.

Okay...first off, BigRedCat there had a couple good things to say. But let me give you a little to work with, if I may.

Your intro sequence is really bare-bones. We've got a city surrounded by a wall and and army around that. Everyone inside is either dead or killing each other for no apparent reason, right? Okay, that's fine. But now what?

There's absolutely no direction for character creation. Not even a vague idea as to what kind of people inhabit this city. You could at least have set a time period and/or setting. Is it a contemporary city? 1800s? Fantasy, sci-fi, dark future, what?

This last bit is my own pet peeve, but your use of English is quite difficult to understand. If it's your second language, I can accept that. But objectively speaking, it gets really hard to get into something when there's a language barrier.

Please understand I'm not trying to bash you. If you want advice or help putting together a game, there are more than enough people willing to do so. Take a look at what Cheesegod has been doing with his Star Wars game here. It's quite popular, and in my opinion, successful. Perhaps that'll give you a boost.
