Saddam Hussein's trial as ended as we all know. He has been sentenced to death via hanging.

The U.S. offcials have handed him over to Iraq and his execution is suppose to be very, very soon. It is a Muslim Holiday tomorrow and it is illegal to execute someone on a Muslim Holiday in Iraq it may cause some problems. But they are suppose to get a pardon for it and the hanging will commence. A CNN reporter says he had just gotten off the phone with one of Saddams deffendents and his execution is suppose to be within the next few hours. But I don't know how reliable that is

It's Iraq, not exactly a modernized country. But Hanging is more for criminals. Be shot by a a squad is more for political users. So I guess it is odd in a way.

Yeah... I was watching Fox News earlier today (for what reason, I do not know) and they said that he was probably going to be executed by the end of the day.

But they aren't going to show it on television.

Not really, Saddam wanted to be shot didn't he but they've decided to hang him like all the people he's hanged.

And Hanging is a good way of executing someone if it's done properly, the last person to be hanged in Britain was in the 1960's and it was much more effective than the electric chair as used in the US.
Although I think the way they are going to hang saddam is not by Breaking the neck but by strangulation.

The Iraqi people decided the guilty verdict and issued the hanging, correct? If that's the case, I'm all for, apparently they thought he was a bad leader too.

I just want to see what kind of impact this has on Iraq as a whole. I don't see this as being a quickfix for the war, but I'm wondering if conditions will start to improve with a new leader, perhaps a drop in terrorist activity?
